Thank you to France and to each person who worked in the restoration, for your craftsmanship, your passion and pride in your work, your love for history and culture, save for the believers, for glorifying God with your beautiful work!
Working in architecture and now as a construction manager. I have worked on fire restoration projects and now working on mega manufacturing and their complexities. When I think of combining into a mega fire restoration project; the complexity, costs, procurement, craftsmanship and all the unknowns the restoration team faced, I am awe-inspired by the results of the efforts of thousands. Those involved and France literally spared no expense. My son and I were in Paris 18 months ago, stopping to see Notre Dame and I look forward to visiting this historic building.
Congratulations to all of Paris and all of France for this monumental restoration. What an achievement. I hope pieces will be done on each trade involved to showcase the incredible workmanship. Watching FAITHFULLY from 🇺🇸.
I remember walking into the breakroom at work and looking up at the monitor to see the cathedral enveloped in flames. I let out a moan of horror and my co-workers were startled. But not one of them was paying attention, and none of them knew what Notre Dame was, and they didn't care. It was just another video to them. That's when I knew I had to retire. And I did. I've been keeping track of the rebuilding since the beginning, and although I have always loved admired France, I now have a new love and passion for its people and they're incredible skill. Gardez le moral et la passion indestructible. Vous êtes le cœur du monde.
I for a text from a friend who knew I’d just been there, and I thought she was making a sick joke. When I looked into it, I was so distraught I picked up my daughter from school since I knew that, when the tears started, I wasn’t going to be able to drive. It ripped my heart out.
The efforts, passion and devotion that these people put in to restore the cathedral, in itself, is a miracle. I cried in front of the screen when the spire collapsed in 2019. I am so looking forwards to see it again.
To all the millennial who think the world would be run by robots, think again, nothing like the human hand to rebuild something as beautiful and historic as Notre Dame du Paris ,the craftsmen work will forever be there ,with the history of the cathedral after the 2019 fire ! Blessed their hearts
If there is beauty in humanity, it is summed up in the passion, technique and love invested in the restoration of this magnificent monument. True, money made it possible, but "God's ways are mysterious" and this work should be understood in this way.
It’s opening on my birthday!! As soon as that was announced a year ago, I immediately made plans to go. I’ll be missing my wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday (he and the kiddo can’t come with me since she’s got school) to be there. I was there just before it the fire. When I took my daughter at the end of 2019, she was so sad she couldn’t go inside. I’m going back in January for a month, and this time, she’s coming! Gonna be more tears.
Having been there a couple times this makes my heart happy. I was heartbroken in 2019. So beautiful, congratulations France. Cheers to all those involved in the project, especially all the talented architects and artisans!
Brilliant. I hope you will put all of the videos you've created into a long form video showing the entire process. Visiting the many artisans who were part of the process is beautiful. This really is a once in a lifetime effort. Thank you for allowing all of us who love Paris and Notre Dame to follow this amazing restoration effort.
Credit to France for a tremendous restoration effort. By comparison, travel to New Zealand where the ruins of the Christchurch cathedral still haunt it's central city 14 years after it was wrecked by the 2010 earthquake due to lack of political leadership and national pride..
Having worked various trades from about 12 years old ( with my father and his brothers ) and spent most of my working life as a woodworker and done a few special design/build projects for churches , I can only exult in the credit given to these crafts people. They will remember this work all their lives. This happened for me on much less dramatic occasions - if you take pride in your work and are offered certain special jobs , it is a ' gift that keeps on giving'. As a devout non-aligned-religiously person , it was wonderful to hear the importance of the human factor emphasized.
0:44 "A monument restored identically of the cathedral design in 1884". But construction began in 1163 and the cathedral was largely completed by 1345.
Yes in the 1800s Notre Dame was almost left in ruin, but it was restored back then, in fact, the spire (that collapsed) was added in the 1800s it didn't have it before then (it had a bell tower spire). Incredibly one of the main reasons Notre Dame survived was that back in the 1800s they thought a fire could start in the roof and added protection to the building in case it did, it's the main reason the cathedral survived the fire.
Praise God first each person, whom he created, to be here at this moment in time and with their specific talents to complete this monumental work for the Glory of God! Alleluia! Alleluia!
@@andyroo9381 I'm from Arizona and visited Paris on 30 different trips in the past 35 years. I love Paris and have always visited Notre Dame. I'm an old white, retired single man trying to live on SS. Now, my travel days are out of reach. I donated to the "Rebuild Notre Dame" fund (but only $10). I wish I could visit to see the new Notre Dame. It is exciting to see the restoration on RUclips.
A cathedral dating back over 800 years. And a symbol representing France’s commitment to the original Christian faith dating back over 2K years. A commitment to the Catholic faith founded by Jesus and the apostles, including Peter (the rock of the ancient faith). Unlike 16th century newcomers like Martin Luther and other protesting, proselytizing, cultish new kids in the block. Aka Protestants.
This is part of the Catholic heritage of the French and many people around the world. People have donated to the rebuilding, but that does not mean they have lost compassion to disadvantaged people. I am sure that these same donors have donated to charitable causes for a good number of times.
All of France should be so proud!

My boss asked me if I wanted to go home, knowing how much France means to me.

Truly magnificent! Every person involved should feel immensely proud on restoring Notre Dame de Paris for the world!
I saw NotreDame in 1985. It is on my Bucket List to see it again returned to its glory. God willing!
Magnificent work, bravo , a true gem has been saved 👏
Those French sure know how to make something beautiful. Congratulations! This was most inspiring.

French excel in what ever they do Gods blessings
I am thoroughly impressed with the effort that has gone into restoring the cathedral. I look forward to visiting Notre Dame after it reopens.

Well the people of the world who donated because it is a highly recognized symbol are to thank.
New Zealand is a poor country. They don’t have money to restore their historic legacy. So we must feel sorry for that country.
Thank you for such a beautiful documentary it will become part of Parisian history.

Yes, but it was restored in the 19th century and things were added or replaced at that time.

Outstanding, I cant wait to attend Mass again there.
Thank you

Thanks for all your work, from Arizona
Time to take AirFrance and visit Notre Dame!

Superbe vidéo.
I love it

Regarding the bell tuning...if even a trained musician can't tell the difference then why does it matter?
integrity of quality that needs to hold up forever !

Beautiful . Notre dam in Saigon ? Hanoi ?
In the city of Paris, the republic of France.
Not a Notre Dame but "thee Notre Dame".
I'm a Protestant. Rebuilding was ridiculous. There are a lot of homeless hungry people in France.

Why don’t you give them your house then?
And?
