    I've put out many videos over the years talking about how to block this banger and that banger. But I've never taught anyone how to BE a banger. "Banging" is a part of the game and it deserves attention! Today, I walk you thorugh how to hit the ball hard and what to do!

    Love that you started with footwork and positioning. You can’t create power without a good balanced foundation. And you can’t do that without being in the right position.

    Love your pickleball tips as I’m new to the game. Using the core muscles really helps and doing so aids in keeping the arm and hand more relaxed too. I also applied your tips on using the core in my squash swing as well, exhaling on the hit. The motion is effective and not strained. Don’t muscle the ball! Thanks 🙏❤️.

    LOL about "Pacman" 😄. I'm always going to remember that one! Good video, with SLOW motion & detailed explanations 👍. Thank you, Barrett

    Would you do a video for hand work specifically to follow through. I viewed your how to serve video many times. I still can’t do it…

    This is really great. I have trouble figuring out how some pros choose have a much more open stance facing the net and absolutely crush it (McGuffin). Care to comment? You do touch on it a bit at the end…Keep up the great work!

      Some people just prefer open stance vs. the more closed stance. It's a style of play thing, however, the footwork is a lot easier with an open stance and it's easier to get topspin on the ball. Personally, I'm practicing open stance drives in singles a bit. I think I like it!

    Not a banger, but can go there when times calls for it,,so my question is this. Do you think the new Gearbox or old cx 14 can do that part of the job when needed? Should mention I have no problem at all generating my own power,,,I see so many videos claiming it lacks power, but they never seem to mention the players that have no problems with power generation

      As you know, the majority of your power comes from your mechanics, but yes, the CX14 does seem to absorb a bit too much. The Ultimate version does seem to be an improvement, although going more elongated is probably the better answer.

    How much wrist?

    • @PickleballKitchen
      @PickleballKitchen  Год назад +2

      Not much! It's more of a "waving hi" motion than a floppy wrist motion.

    I’m confused, if you hit actual ground strokes you’re a “banger”? So weird

      I think that’s a pickleball thing where it refers to players who try to EVERYTHING hard. No touch shots, drops, spins, etc.
