HAHA, I used to get that at least once a week at my last job. Was wondering how long it would take here. Congratulations, you are the first one in 5 months! LOL
Beginner here wanting to buy a jacket. Is it typical to wear just a base layer with an insulated jacket? Should I buy a shell too? Looking for what’s best to start with. Great video!
ITs really up to you and how warm you want/need to be. Most people will do just the baselayer with a jacket but if you do spend the extra money and get a baselayer, 2nd layer and shell it makes for the ultimate combination for any weather. Check out this video for a great visual explanation on layers and toches on the shell outerwear ->ruclips.net/video/Yg4A_YRF1AI/видео.html
Is it possible to alter the snow-wear in general?(cutting sleeves and hemming?) I am quite short and busty, and fan of oversized jacket in general everyday wear. I ride snowboards. Usual snow jacket in the USA is made for skiing in my opinion, too tight for snowboarding, restricting rotationally motion around waist. So I d like to wear mens jacket that is oversized and baggy fit for me… but the sleeves are wayyyy too long for a short woman.
Here I am on my quest to find a jacket and pants that fit the arms and legs if you're over 6'6. Seems like most manufacturers just go wider and wider on anything >2XL while the arms of the jacket still stay well behind my wrists. If any other big boy has a recommendation on any brand that would be much appreciated! Great video overall, made me recognize that the latest jacket and pants I ordered definitely need to go back because they were also too short. This was attempt #3, getting kinda frustrating.
Jackets can definitely be a little harder. One this you might want to check out for pants is some companies do make "long/tall" versions of some of their more popular pants. -> www.peterglenn.com/category/ski/pants?filters=option3map:Long+im_vid_3:794
I got a pair of volcom snow pants give it to me and they are a little bit long because I'm walking on the back of them and they are too big in the waist what do you recommend that I do to make the waist smaller and the back of the pants shorter but yet still look professionally put together??? Thank you
So snowboard pants should feel like normal pants? I got a pair of volcom snowboard pants that fit me like perfect for pants but i thought they were supposed to be a little bigger so i was gunna return them but im questioning it now
The key is to make sure they’re not too tight around the waist, thighs, or knees, as you’ll need extra mobility for riding. If they feel good for movement, bending, and you can layer underneath if needed, you’re probably fine to keep them.
When you wear a shell pant you are normally going to be wearing them on a warmer day or maybe you are going to be hiking a mountain that day, so you are going to be warmer than most days because of the amount of energy you are exerting. I normally wear an Airblaster Merino Wool Ninja suit and I am plenty warm.
You kinda sound like Badger from Breaking Bad

Maybe, I would for sure take it to a tailor to see what they can do. One other thing to note, tailoring could void warranties too.
boot cinch is a game changer for pants these days!
100%, lots of companies are starting to make it standard on most of their pants.

Get an arcade branded elastic belt and take the pants to a seamstress to hem the bottoms of the pants.
@PeterGlennSports thank you
