I have a more modern-ish version of Gunkan March, would you be interested in it Danjori? Edit: Just a note, this version isn't seen as much in the internet, and so far I only know it from one video since the other one was taken down a year ago.
Uh, after some digging I realized this version was played by the West German Navy band, I have no evidence of the time or date they played it, other than this version is made by the Bundesmarine/Deutsche Marine. Edit: Just to correct myself
It was the Imperial Japanese Navy's march, used for background to Japanese sequences in the the 1952-53 American TV WW2 documentary series "Victory at Sea," probably not this particular recording though. Does anyone know if it's still in use?

This version (the recording) was actually the one the Japanese used in newsreels in the war
