The one & ONLY time I ate at a KFC I immediately got food poisoning: a miserable headache started less than 1 hour after eating their product, then I spent the night with one end hanging over the tub, vomiting, and the other end... you get the idea. I was really, really SICK! Fortunately, my body ejected all of the offending materials & I did recover. Less than 2 weeks later we stopped at a completely different fast food place (Mexican food) & I ordered a chicken enchilada. Just ONE WHIFF of the chicken in that enchilada and it was obvious that it, too, was bad. My husband, although his sense of smell has never been as sensitive as mine, confirmed that the meat "had turned." I returned it to the server, untouched, & we left that place. I haven't eaten chicken from a fast food restaurant since then, & that was over 20 years ago. Just thinking about that episode makes me a little bit queasy!

It's genuinely disturbing how many psychologically dysfunctional people there are in positions of authority.
i had a boss like the crazy voice recorder boss, only he went ballistic when casio stopped making the scientific calculator he liked. i even called office depot and staples home offices to have every last calculator in stock sent to us. we got 9. he wanted 12. we suggested trying to find a texas instruments model that was comparable. he threw a calculator and screamed he never wanted to see any texas instrument product in his building and stomped out. best part, that boss was my ex father in law.
I don't really get people with such loyalty to an item...
I was a minor working at DQ when a customer went irate on me for not serving coke, like I could magically change our vendors. It was clear he wasn't going to buy anything and another customer walked in when the guy finally said something that reminded me of something I learned the night before:
" Coca-Cola has been an outstanding soft drink from the beginning!"
"Did you know that the reason it is called COCA-cola is because it originally was a cocaine teaser," I asked pleasantly.
He got mad and the customer behind him agreed before the angry man stormed out... The nice customer then informed me that Pepsi has the same origins, to which I was not aware of at the time.
It baffles me to think something so closely related can spark so many wars
The first one made me think of Ace Ventura saying FiHired the same way he would loser.

Employ uses Documentation. Is super effective.
Higher ups used illegal termination. Is not very effective.
Employ uses sue, is super effective.
Higher ups fainted.
Greed is the WORST thing someone can pull on employes. It makes you forget laws and comes back to bite you WAY HARDER than you think.
Employee wins a lot of $$$. Gains good life experience.
In the food service enterprise to cut corners, some managers try to use up the stock just as it expires to save money for the store and themselves even if it's against store policy and food service safety regulations.

i grind my teeth at night and just clench in general. i had surgery on my disks in my jaw because I dislocated them and scar tissue built inside (nasty 5 years and very painful). i grind my teeth so much I cracked two of them recently. its not fun.

They never, ever learn. Food service? Shady stuffs with dates? REALLY, don't piss off the employees that know about that, it won't end well for you. Better yet, suck it up, and obey the law. After all, it might just be your family you give food poisoning to. Or the local Sheriff.
