The guy stealing and changing parking spots of his friends car is not only childish, but criminal. I would of most certainly called the police and had him arrested for theft, which is what he is doing. His friend did not purposely park his darn car in the sun. He could not find any shade.
While technically true, there's no malicious intent except for heating up the car, and he willingly gave back the spare key. Escalating this to police involvement would ruin the friendship that obviously makes OP trust the friend enough to drive the car in the first place. Moving it a couple of spaces is wildly different than say taking it to go commit a crime in.
And the person who posted wasn't really in the wrong or deserve it either. They couldn't find a spot. They were probably all taken and thats completely out of their hands. No reason to be an absolute a**hole b***h of a "friend". He's lucky he didnt immediately get punched in the face or even have the cops called on him for what's basically stealing his car.
Story 1OP was having his car stolen on a regular basis. If it had been me, once I found out what was happening, I'd have told him if it didn't stop I'd go to the cops. That would've been "nice" me. "Pissed off" me wouldn't have warned him.
I would have reported it to the police the first time my car was moved. I would have had that "Friend" arrested, never talk to them again, and six months later have someone bust a window or two on his precious car.
If there's no shade there's no shade. I'd have let the guy get away with the revenge once. But once I found out he had my key fob copied, I'd have called the cops in front of him.
The first story The “friend” is a dbag!! OP makes one mistake (which wasn’t really all his fault) and he has to pay for it all Summer? And what psycho pays $300 for “revenge” … this is really scary behavior.
I agree that was a vindictive shithead, not a friend. If someone did that to me, I would make sure it ended long before summer was over and the so-called friend would be on my permanent shit-list. I suspect the OP was actually the "friend", and was posing as the victim to avoid the shit-storm of abuse he would have received on line.
@@michaeldowson6988 I would have stopped it as soon as I knew it was the "friend" moving my car. The friend having possession of a key to my car put me at risk every time he drove my car to move it.
Either the first story never happened (going so far as to make a spare key for $300?) or that "friend" needs a reality check. There's just something not right with a person that fixated on getting "revenge".

The first guy is a major ahole and I would have pressed charges. OP was literally entirely innocent and got treated excessively bad - in an illegal manner no less. Considering those were perverse repeat offenses it's likely that the guy would have gotten a felony charge.

Set aside that he is essentially stealing a vehicle repeatedly there are no even remotely reputable key companies that copy a car key without proper documentation (letter of ownership for the car. something that is not supposed to be even NEAR that car). Some car keys actually can't be copied without contacting the car manufacturer and ordering one. Meaning he must have gotten it from a criminal or at best a halfwit. That or the story is fake. Only those two options are viable.
Revenge has its limits the guy copied his car key with out permission and continues to move it everyday. All because he parked his car once in the sun that’s just being an asshole
