I have the 32GK650F and it’s amazing. A few things about this monitor that’s not mentioned in this video is this the imput lag is roughly around 4ms which was huge for me in making my choice, it’s however a little higher at 60hz. This monitor is hdmi 2.0 however can only max out at 100hz over hdmi. The price is a little high at amazon right now I paid around $325 and couldn’t be happier.
I'm a budget gamer because I'm poor. I have $100 or less in each part, I'd never be able to spend more than that on any 1 part. My whole tower cost less than $400 over all to build, closer to 350 honestly. I see people calling $300 displays "affordable" nah bruh that's more than half my whole build cost! I did however find a deal on a Dell 144htz 23in display AND 8gb DDR4 2400 for $150 on facebook market. I also only paid $150 for my Ryzen 5 1600 (that was sealed in box) and MSI B350 motherboard!
try to overclock that RAM (also hopefully you're using two sticks instead of a single 8GB one); it's a pity to use a Ryzen CPU with anything less than 2933/3000mhz RAM

Got my MSI 1080p curved 24" 144hz for $160 on sale a couple months back. Think it's like Optix MAG24OVC. Pretty good monitor, I like it. Changed my case to match the monitor so my whole theme would match.
In my country the only High-end +120Hz monitor that makes sence to buy is XV273K for $900, because AD27QD is $700, PG279Q is $950, GK950F is $1180 and X27 is $2600.
I personally recommend the Acer EB243YU if you're near a Microcenter. It's a 24" 1440p 75hz monitor with Freesync for $140 there. Picture quality is great and it works fine with Gsync compatibility.
Why don’t you mention the Samsung C24FG73 when talking about the MSI, Viotek, and AOC 24” curved VA 144hz monitors? A review for it would also be nice.. it seems to be basically the same panel but with Quantum Dot technology for like 20-50$ higher (at least where I live)
Yea also it has a joystick for OSD instead of buttons and Samsung should be a more reputable company? I think.. And the QLED aspect should give better sRGB performance
So you would recommend the MSI MAG241C over the AOC C24G1? I can't even find a review of the MSI from yourself and I'm not sure which of these to go for. The AOC is cheaper and I think they're probably using the same panel? Anyone can elaborate a bit on this?
I just got the AOpen (sub-brand of Acer) 24HC1QR - a 24" 1080p 144hz Freesync (30-144hz) VA panel with an 1800R curve for £119.98. Really happy with it so far, mine has no dead or stuck pixels, blacks are really deep, colours seem awesome, VA glow is seriously not bad at all compared to other more expensive VA panels I've seen and support is provided by Acer. The only downside is the stand which only offers tilt adjustment, no swivel or height adjustment and the monitor isn't VESA mount compatible so you're stuck with the stock stand. It's literally the same monitor as the Acer ED242QR (which is $149.99 on Amazon).
Can confirm that the LG 32 inch 1440p monitor is fantastic. I've only had it for a month but it has already surpassed my expectations. The true 144Hz experience is easily my favorite feature because it makes everything feel and look smoother. Get this monitor if you're on a decent sized budget and are looking for a bargain.
Very helpful video but I’m still on the fence with the LG34GK950F. Though the price finally came back to earth a couple days ago, LG has a new 38GL950G on deck to release soon but no price point has been announced that I can find. With that being said I’m sitting with a 34gk950f in my cart reluctantl to pull the trigger. I’ve been gaming on a 27” BenQ 144hz for a few years now & built my new rig last winter to advance to higher res but the Price on the lg34gk950f soared right when I finished my build. I just don’t know wth to do at this point! Any advice would be greatly appreciated?? Keep up the good reviews
Tim literally sounds like another person selling out. That compounded onto the flashbacks I got when he said "we love PC gaming" made that one of the worse experiences I've had watching a youtube video. EDIT: seems he was probably sick based off later videos. The ad spot was probably recorded later than the video itself and stitched together. Get well soon Tim.
Thanks for the video. In my country the LG LG 32GK650F and Gigabyte aorus AD27QD goes for the same price. Is it makes the gigabyte monitor better in terms of bang for the buck? I have 1080ti and the gigabyte monitor is Gsync compatible.
The LG may not be certified as "Gsync compatible" but it works just fine with Gsync. I've been using Gsync since nvidia enabled it on Freesync monitors and only had issues with some of the early drivers, and then only in World of Warcraft. I'm also on a 1080ti, so the question you need to ask yourself is if you want the 27 or 32.
Hi Tim, you recommend the msi mag241c for best va 1080p 144hz outside of the us, but you haven't made a review of it and i can't find any other serious review. How's the response time compared to the Viotek GN24C, how about the colors and how do we calibrate it without the patreon profile?
I wanted to get one of those fancy Ultrawide LG monitors, but spending as much as an Apple Monitor stand for a monitor is too expensive, so I settled for the MSI MAG341CQ and couldn't be happier. It's great!
I snagged an AOC G2590PX second hand, for 150 €. It's 250 € new and even for a TN, it looks really good, although naturally not as good as my IPS second monitor. Plus the 144 Hz, Freesync and LFG, slim bezels, VESA mount, awesome included stand... Overall, maybe the best I've experienced in that price category. It's exactly the same panel as the Acer KG251QF, so check their review for yourselves if you're not convinced
I spent all day looking at monitors, they are a tad bit expensive but when you can find 4K 60hz freesync monitors below £300 in Uk it’s getting better. But the juicy 1440p 144hz costs a little bit more.
Amazon reviewers are idiots; "My son hit the ring with a hammer and it broke!!! one star...", I'm paraphrasing but this was an actual review I've read...
Love the video. I have the MSI MAG271C but I don't really notice any issues with pixel density. Maybe it's because I'm blind, or maybe it's because this is the best monitor I've ever had. Either way, I'm happy that a variant of my monitor made it on this best value video.
I recently got the ViewSonic Curved 25 inch 144hz monitor...mind you my CPU is an 8 core i9 and 8GDDR6 GB RX5500M GPU. I can handle 1080p at roughly 150-170fps. I lock it at 144 on my new monitor and yes it works there is some picture glitching...maybe its my DVI to DP cable going bad but then I lower the frequency clock of the monitor to 120hz and GOD DAMN ITS A CHAMPION! Smoothest 120hz/fps gaming experience I have had. I got the monitor for $180...best money per value I spent this year on computer parts. That said I still want to try the DVI to DP solution as it was the only way to unlock 144hz. HDMI 2.0 cables do not unlock it.
I just got the PG279QZ and I'm loving it. GSYNC, 144Hz (haven't OC'ed to 165Hz yet, though it is capable of it), and the colors are brilliant (I'll never go back to TN after seeing what a decent IPS display looks like). I did have to play around with the color settings to get it looking right though, as it was pretty far off out of the box. I might actually get a calibration tool at some point if I decide it's worth the price, but overall I'm thrilled with this new display and games and movies look absolutely gorgeous on it (I have a laptop with a GTX 1070 [2048 CUDA Core variant, boosts to nearly 2000MHz] and a 7700K OC'ed to 4.6GHz all cores/4.3GHz cache at -100mv on both the cores and cache, no overvoltage). Going from a 1080p 60Hz 15.6" display to a 27" 144Hz 1440p display was well worth it, even though most content is still at 1080p (or less) resolution.
@@autronic9306 because the res is low compared to the size the pixels are getting stretched out which gives a pixelated look hence why I called it a pixelfest.
@@autronic9306 might be okay-ish at 4x dsr (4k scaled to 1080p through gpu), albeit slightly more blurred, at that point you do require a beefy gpu, which at that budget a 1440p panel makes more sense.

I'm definitely buying 2 or 3 more in time for big screen project cars 2.
What is it with all the mentions about VA monitors? Are there people who genuinely cannot see the horrendous dark smearing you get with them? And for the AOC G2590 , have you used that? Every review I’ve seen mentions it has serious problems with pixel inversion/interlace artefacts but no mention of that here.
Those artefacts appears for me only if overdrive is set to strong. Leave it on medium or lower and its fine. Unless you mean something else, which I have not been able to spot (G2590PX)
With the AOC, it isn’t so much the overshoot you can get with too high an overdrive setting. I can’t remember if it was TFTCentral or PCMonitors that mentioned severe interlacing artefacts on motion. Like if you have a block of solid colour, if it moves on screen it momentarily breaks up and you see almost a crosshatch pattern on it until the movement stops. It’s apparently one of the worst monitors for that particular problem.

Love my new Dell S2719DGF - 1440p 155hz TN panel. Colours are right there with my old QLED with much better pixel density and sub pixel rendering.
just got one of these as well and I'm very happy with it. Got it on sale for $527 AUD and it feels worth it to me.
AOC C24G1 is the best value 144Hz monitor imo
180€ in Estonia
You mean that Curved VA monitor with alot of ghosting? If yes, then in lithuania its cheap too, 180€
@@Saigonas have you owned a C24G1?
I only saw ghosting at strongest "overdrive" option in the monitor options menu.
Owned one ... but now have an AOC AG272FCX6 which is better, but not worth the price difference IMO - about 100€
I have had a lot of TN, VA and IPS 144Hz+ monitors, have you, Saigonas & uP-Andre?
@@Tan3l6 Ma ka Eestist, mis monitori soovitaksid siin osta max. 200€ juures? Võiks 144hz olla
@@purje7 oleneb, mis paneeliga - kas VA või TN ... TN on veidi nobedama reaktsiooniga, VA parema kontrasti ja värvidega.
Ise võtaks VA paneeliga AOC C24G1 mida alguses mainisin.
Kui TN siis näiteks AOC - G2590FX (mida ka siin videos mainitakse kogemata G2560FX-na)
@@Tan3l6 Olgu, tänud vastuse eest. Eks mul tuleb otsustada kumb olulisem enda jaoks on.
Got my MSI 1080p curved 24" 144hz for $160 on sale a couple months back. Think it's like Optix MAG24OVC. Pretty good monitor, I like it. Changed my case to match the monitor so my whole theme would match.
Come on Tim, stop holding out on me. Where is the Acer Nitro XV272UP 1440P 144Hz review!!!
Whats up dude it's me Jeff
@I'm Super Fat okay sir
ShoZk My name jeff
In my country the only High-end +120Hz monitor that makes sence to buy is XV273K for $900, because AD27QD is $700, PG279Q is $950, GK950F is $1180 and X27 is $2600.
Watching this on the Pixio PX275h right now. Thank you for confirming my good buying choices lol
It's a great monitor for the price!
I didn't want to spend a ton, as I think in 5 years OLED will be a feasible thing for gaming monitors.
Would like to know this too. In my region the Samsung C24FG73 is even ~15€ cheaper than the MSI Optix MAG241C.
Yea also it has a joystick for OSD instead of buttons and Samsung should be a more reputable company? I think..
And the QLED aspect should give better sRGB performance
You guys deserved millions plus plus subscribers 👍
So you would recommend the MSI MAG241C over the AOC C24G1? I can't even find a review of the MSI from yourself and I'm not sure which of these to go for. The AOC is cheaper and I think they're probably using the same panel? Anyone can elaborate a bit on this?
Still got my viewsonic xg2401, viewsonic monitors for gaming are awesome.
Can you say.. Teleprompter? 🤔
Thanks for the info
32 inch is too much for 1440p. Almost same ppi like 1080p 24 monitors.
Agreed, 27 inch 1440p is the sweet spot
Can confirm that the LG 32 inch 1440p monitor is fantastic. I've only had it for a month but it has already surpassed my expectations. The true 144Hz experience is easily my favorite feature because it makes everything feel and look smoother. Get this monitor if you're on a decent sized budget and are looking for a bargain.
Too bad that LG 1440p 144Hz VA Monitor is much more expensive in the UK - over £500
Very helpful video but I’m still on the fence with the LG34GK950F.
Could you please add alternatives to viotek because europe guys like me gets very little value from this vid.
My LG 32GK650F arrived in the post today and im already very impressed
Tim literally sounds like another person selling out. That compounded onto the flashbacks I got when he said "we love PC gaming" made that one of the worse experiences I've had watching a youtube video. EDIT: seems he was probably sick based off later videos. The ad spot was probably recorded later than the video itself and stitched together. Get well soon Tim.
I bought a Samsung C49HG90 a month ago. Very happy with my 4-foot wide monster.
If those two are the same price the Aorus is more packed with features, is an IPS, and has HDR which is not offered on the LG.
Hi Tim, you recommend the msi mag241c for best va 1080p 144hz outside of the us, but you haven't made a review of it and i can't find any other serious review. How's the response time compared to the Viotek GN24C, how about the colors and how do we calibrate it without the patreon profile?
Does the MSI 1440p Ultra wide work well with G-sync?
I recently got the MSI MAG241C. Brilliant monitor. Can't recommend it highly enough.
@8:56 I can see the ghosting happening on both of the ultrawide models, it's good to know.
I wanted to get one of those fancy Ultrawide LG monitors, but spending as much as an Apple Monitor stand for a monitor is too expensive, so I settled for the MSI MAG341CQ and couldn't be happier. It's great!
what about the Acer Nitro VG271U at $329? I feel the 32" is a little big...
I bought " LG 32GK850G " one month ago. This Monitor has G-Sync support and has amazing quality. I recomanded if you have good Nvidia GPU :)
why didn’t you put the Dell S2417DG? 165hz 1440p G SYNC for 370$??? that’s a steal
Theres a 1080p 165hz for $170
I snagged an AOC G2590PX second hand, for 150 €.
I would love to get something that will be fine for gaming but good colour reproduction for Lightroom edits. Any suggestions?
nice, that 32" lg is just the kind of monitor i was looking for. flat for life!
I apologise, I forgot to thumbs up when I viewed this.
I came back to fix that.
I was actually researching monitors just yesterday, it's like you guys read my mind :) , awesome!
Hardware Unboxed uploads, you best believe I unzip.
Nerdgasms fa days
I spent all day looking at monitors, they are a tad bit expensive but when you can find 4K 60hz freesync monitors below £300 in Uk it’s getting better. But the juicy 1440p 144hz costs a little bit more.
love how you're recommending monitors with 2 out of 5 customer ratings on Amazon lol
I loled at that too
Amazon reviewers are idiots; "My son hit the ring with a hammer and it broke!!! one star...", I'm paraphrasing but this was an actual review I've read...
Love the video. I have the MSI MAG271C but I don't really notice any issues with pixel density. Maybe it's because I'm blind, or maybe it's because this is the best monitor I've ever had. Either way, I'm happy that a variant of my monitor made it on this best value video.
wheres the 43-49 samsung 144hz?????
No mention of the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q?? That's the best 1440p high hertz monitor available!
ikr! i been using the pg276qr rite now
@@San-jose-Ruussh how you like it?
@@antoniostyles Its nice! gsync is a must tho in my opinion....havnt experience freesync yet
@@xyz360400 Nice man! didnt know about that model might have to go with that one....how much of a percentage difference do you compare ips & tn?
I'm enjoying my refurbished 24" Acer 144Hz monitor. Only downside for me right now is the fact that it is a TN panel. But that's a pretty minor gripe.
I can't afford 27" 1440p 144hz.
My question: does 27" 1080p 144hz that big of a difference?
1080p at 27' is a pixelfest
@@ferhat3111 what does this mean?
@@autronic9306 because the res is low compared to the size the pixels are getting stretched out which gives a pixelated look hence why I called it a pixelfest.
@@ferhat3111 thanks
@@autronic9306 might be okay-ish at 4x dsr (4k scaled to 1080p through gpu), albeit slightly more blurred, at that point you do require a beefy gpu, which at that budget a 1440p panel makes more sense.
HP 25x. 144 Hz, G-sync compatible (works without any issue), 24.5", 1920x1080. 280$. Amazing!
disappointed no mention or review of pixio px 277h
359$ 1440p ips "hdr" 144hz & freesync2
uhm its 95hz I think, still not bad
Do a video about best upcoming monitors
I'm still waiting for those 24'' 144Hz IPS monitors to hit the market.
WOW for the 4k catagory I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Monoprice 4k 32inch Freesync/G-Sync Compatible monitor. Its beet $400 for some time now. And has the best VRR range of all 4k monitors (30hz - 75hz)
Best Gaming Monitors USA edition, in comparison in EU price suc*s
And no sweet viotek monitor either :/
I would argue for a best competitive gaming monitor selection as well. I guess that is kind of covered by 1080p to some extent though, but it would have vastly different parameters for selection.
You want a BIG monitor with proper HDR? Buy a samsung tv with 1440p120 support.

OK so I got the 32inch LG1440p 1ms 145 hz monitor factory renewed for 280 off amazon. been using it for a month and while I haven't used the speakers, its been everything i hoped it would be. a good, cost effective 1440 p monitor with decent frame splitting software.
I'd never go above 27 inches for 1440P/144hz DPI is perfect and sharp. I bought the first IPS/G-Sync panel to be released at 4ms I love my Acer XB270HU
