Thanks for watching, I had a family tragedy happen recently so I'll try to make videos but if I don't make one as soon as I usually do, that's why. I'm trying. Anyway enjoy.
Sorry man, take your time It’s always worth the wait for your vids, hang in there it’s a tunnel not a cave
I hope everything ends up alright ❤️
Hang in there man!
Do what you need to do! You are a human being before you are a youtuber and anything else. We'll be here when you come back. Take all the time you need to process.
Thanks guys.
Would also explain why Shep can also resist object rho which everyone else was indoctrinated by. It would also explain why his crew is always safe from indoctrination since he’s influencing them. And it also gives more weight to indoctrination theory.
If BioWare was smart, which they aren’t anymore sadly, they’d run with IT for the next game.
Yeah it would explain why his squad is never indoctrinated either, almost as if there’s like a wifi blocking indoctrination signal emitting from Shepard protecting the crew.
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏻🔥
Exactly what I was thinking in terms of the indoctrination theory. He doesnt get indoctrinated because his own empowered brain waves are influencing others, and its not until the finale of 3 that the reapers break through after all that time. I really dig this theory.
Incredible observation. I can see how this might be an unspoken element to the story by BioWare. Shepard’s probability of success during various missions via EDI’s commentary only further bolsters this theory. Mass Effect 3 may be the biggest indicator as he was able to influence the entire galaxy.
Exactly, how else could Shepard convince the Quarian fleet or the Krogan & Salarian’s to work together? It would only make sense. Not only that but you can convince TiM to kill himself just like Saren, again as if Shepard’s indoctrination power overpowered the power over those two and freed them. I think it works!
I've always wondered about the morinth scene
Possibly the Prothean’s beacon did something to Shepard brain! We’re know so little what the protheans can really do
The Prothean's transferred wealths of knowledge instantly with their technology, so it would make sense.
@@EndymionTv The mission to acquire Javik confirms the Prothean beacon altered his brain. He’s able to perceive Prothean data in real-time. It shows as static noise for everyone else on that mission. If you bring Liara on that mission she speaks on it.
@@lexomoniyi very much so! Good recall.
Y'all think the benefactor of Andromeda could be Miranda's dad?
Damn that’s p freaking cool. Never really acknowledged that. Just saw it as a mechanic and not any deeper but this has opened my eyes
That’s what I’m here for 🤙🏼
I think the fact of paragon renegade not been there at the start is because it shows up when he made a spectre
Great point, as soon as you started the topic, the pieces fell into place for me. Can see that he may have a smidge of indoctrination power
Thank you for watching 🤘🏻
You can punch the one scientist when he is freaking out after the first encounter with converted humans and also the port workers. It would be cool as well. But the leviathans may have tried to implant each cycle and it stuck with Shepard and they became intrigued but couldn't grab him until mass effect 3 with all the minor pushes to get to that point
If it was the beacon that did it, mayne some protheans got it at the end of their war, and that was part od the beacons warning, something to help whoever finds it resist the eaper indoctrination.
@@BigShaggyUnsungHero oooooooh smart I like that
I always assumed that the Paragon and Renegade powers come from Shepard's iron will and his reputation.
The one point against this theory would be that Sheppard never could influence the Council.
It should be mentioned that during "Leviathan" the Old Ones mentioned something about Sheppard being different. As they say (I'm quoting here - ruclips.net/video/lEqlG6bhZ80/видео.html&ab_channel=animalruless at 8 minutes aprox.): "your victories are more than a product of chance". That line always bothered me, implied a force unseen. It could be the one you mentioned.
I think it’s just hinting that they’re surprised that Shepard’s done so well, without actually having such, outside the Prothean beacon SOS, and the cipher. Remember, Shepard’s an N7, an equivalent to SAS special forces, the best of the best humanity has to offer - militarily. He earned everything he can manage to pull off.
You say no Paragon/Renegade until after Eden Prime, but in non-remastered edition, you can put points into Paragon/Renegade and get Persuade/Intimidate options when exploring the smuggling ring side quest on Eden Prime, which gets you some extra upgrades, grenades, etc. and pretty much makes it clear for me that Shepard simply has a strong personality depending on how players role-play and it’s made clear how influential he is simply at the beginning based on Pre-history backgrounds and his psyche profiles each being unique.
Sure, the Prothean beacon implanted the warning against the Reapers, but that was all it was.
As for the Ardat-Yakshi argument, I would argue that’s a usage of willpower; if you have Shepard not choosing Paragon/Renegade options when in Morinth’s flat/apartment, you can’t resist her melding of your nervous system, and you literally have no choice but to parrot her, only being snapped out of it when Samara saves you. I think that if Shepard chooses to resist via persuasive/intimidating mindsets, they’re resistant enough to not be powerless, but in not so, is effectively putting faith in Samara or just pretending she has the upper hand and underestimating her power.
Also, fun fact: If you go the route where you’re powerless to Morinth, you automatically side with Samara, and don’t get to choose to betray her to side with Morinth.
I'm always amazed by what my subs know lol thank you
Love the theory! Kinda gives a context to Shep accomplishing the "impossible" + in my opinion makes Shep even more badass! Shep just casually shrugs off 99% of attempts to indoctrinate him bc he/she's like: "B**** Please, you tryin to indoctrinate an indoctrinator? Good luck" My only question would be how it applies to Synthetics like Legion and the Geth, but it gives a reason why in the 1st game Shep can't communicate with the Geth. Then in the 2nd game Shep gets their synthetic upgrades via the Lazarus Project allowing for Shep to be the only organic to influence synthetics in ME2 and ME3. Just an interesting thought.
Also, that's horrible man! As someone who's suffered through many of those incidents throughout my life I'd completely understand a delay/time off for making these amazing theories. And I think everyone else would too. So please don't worry bout us, and feel free to take your time during this rough period.
Thank you for the kind words.
Third time Shepard isn't in control of himself: Project Overlord. Shepard gets hacked. Though, that's through cybernetics inside his body. He can't really fight against those, but even then -- he managed to shake it off pretty quick.
In what way is he hacked? I cant recall.
@@BigShaggyUnsungHero he's deactivating some relay/comm station and Overlord hacks him through contact with those controls. Which leads Shepard to the bossroom.
Interesting theory
Roadhouse
I have a theory.
What is true IRL: BioWare made Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. They passed on the sequel to that game to Obsidian Entertainment. In KOTOR II, part of the story was about how the main character subtly, unknowingly, but significantly influences their companions to follow them.
Theory: KOTOR II was a very well received game, and I almost wouldn’t doubt that BioWare could have lifted that story element from KOTOR II and put it into Mass Effect, which went into production around the time that KOTOR II launched, but by the time they finalized the story, they probably just left it in as a mechanic for “put points into winning your arguments”
Actually prior to the additional cut patch day1 edition pc edition you could actually import your character from me2 where you backed Cerberus and kept the station. If you remained paragon throughout talking to the illusive man , you could turn his view back without shooting Anderson, this is where the Illusive man realise his mistake and that he realised he was being controlled, thus taking his own life with the gun without shooting , this had to be a bug as after he shot himself anderson still slumped exactly like he had been Shot however without the scene it felt like his injuries prior to arriving on the citadel was the reason behind his collapse and death . I only ever got this to happen prior to installing the prothean dlc , which ea offered as part of the peace deal after the backlash to Origen customers of just two possibilities at the end , after that I never saw it again
Think shepard having gained some supernatrual power would honestly ruin the story. Throughout Mass effect 1 humanity is the newcomer on galagtic scene and it being shepard who earns the race its place on council and in Mass effect 2 harbringer put it best ”we’re nothing but insignificant dust strugeling against cosmic malestorm, but we have become an annoience” to which shepard replies that ”humanity may face the inevetable, but we dont back down from a challenge and if this is our end we go down fighting”. I may be paraquoting, but meaning is essentially the same. In Mass effect trilogy shepard is essentially just a soldier regardless of what weapons be they guns biotics or tech and it is his will to keep fighting that ultimatly lets him suceed in these impossible odds and why others follow him, regardless if shepard is a ruthless psychopath or altruistic messiah he empodies the best of humanity and in a trilogy where main conflict is facing the inevetable unknown that surpasses our capability to understand it, having shepard be best of humanity, but not above it is what makes the story and more importantly its theme (tho bioware shoulda concepted the whole story beforehand).
It’s not really supernatural, it’s based in evolution & all that. But I get what you mean
When it comes to this theory, I'd say that Shepherd having an indoctrination ability given to him by the beacon actually doesn't make sense. The beacons were created by the Prothians, but they didn't have such abilities. The Leviathans also couldn't have tampered with the beacon as they never made contact with anyone since the creation of the Reapers until Shepherd found them and forced them to join the war. As for the charm and intimidate bars. I'm pretty sure those only expand once Shepherd achieves Spectre status.
But I do think it is possible that the beacon could have made Shepherd immune to indoctrination. The Prothians had been fighting the Reapers for centuries and it is possible that they could have found a way to counter indoctrination.
But I think its just more likely that Shepherd just has some insane will power. The guy literally said no to death twice
it comes true when u think that we couldnt convince jenkins to not do somthing stupid
Thooo one hiccup in this Theory is that it implies the Illusive Man is stronger than Reapers in Indoctrination, who's already under Reaper control btw, unless that whole scene is inside IT
In Indoctrination Power Level, I'd say
Leviathan > Reaper > IM > Shep > Ardat
Mate if you use leviathan as a base for a theory relating to ME1 and ME2. it wont work, leviathan is a retcon used in an attempt to fill in the holes made by the ending.
I think the official reason would be short exposure when it comes to Reapers and such, and perhaps an initial willingness to let morinth in when it comes to that. Does make for an interesting theory that could still work, though.
Great vid! can you do a video about the DC1938 aliens mentioned in Cerberus daily news?
I will look into it thank you
Dominate can be used in Mass effect 2, And she is called Mor-inth, not mor-nith
Yeah you get the power if she joins you, which is why this is a theory video. And thanks
Would explain why "paragon/renegade" is not in Andromeda.
OH. MY. FUCKIN. GOD. you're a genius
The beacon did unlock something within Shepard and so this theory is not that far off.
Nah, he just has 18 charisma
I always make my characters in any game good at speech, it’s too useful
Has anyone else attempted to purchase and upgrade every gun, mod and armor in ME3:Legendary?
Nope
@@EndymionTv absolutely tedious, done now though.
What is the ambient backward music?
The usual song I use is "Dust and Dreams" by VELDA. The second song is "Another Sunday" by Ealot.
