It's been this way for a longggg time!! I was in the student section while I was a student at Bama, when Van Tiffin kicked the 52 yard field goal to beat Auburn. The game was down to one minute, and Auburn was going crazy, thinking that they had won the game. But Mike Shula, Greg Richardson, Al Bell went all the way down the field. Van kicked the ball and we won, and the Auburn players and all their fans were as quiet as they could be! They could NOT BELIEVE what had just happened to them!🤗 Meantime in the student section, ice cubes, liquor was flying out of cups, and we were screaming and jumping in jubilation!🥰
As a Michigan fan, Milroe finding the throw to the only guy with one person on him and then throwing the perfect pass to give them the chance and THEN to just walk off the field as if it was nothing is DAMN scary!

I remember that missed field goal for a return for Auburn. Glad to see Auburn fans get their Alabama moment like that finally.

Fr bro. When Michigan and Ohio State say their game is "the game" I'll ask them where these moments are? The run in the mud. The kick 6, Bryce Young driving from the 1 yard line to a TD with no timeouts to send us to OT and eventually win. And of course the Nightmare in Jordan O'Hare. 3 of these moments in the last 10 years is crazy.

It was 4th & forever. To complete that pass for a TD was a miracle! I am forever grateful for Jalen Milroe...And we had a TD after that which was called back. 3 TDs called back in this game & we overcame tremendous adversity to win. Roll Damn Tide!

The player did NOT go out of bounds. I’ve watched it several times they took our last touchdown away. That’s OK we’ll get it next year.

They got a taste of it in 2021 when they dominated for about 58 minutes before Bryce Young took Alabama on a 97 yard TD drive to tie the game and then won in OT. The TD throw to Brooks in the last minute was in the opposite corner of the same end zone as Milroe to Bond yesterday.

I never counted Milroe out. Even when Saban benched him after that game. It was his first year, he’s still working out the kinks and getting into his groove. But I NEVER question the things that Saban does. He’s the all time winningest coach of all time for a reason. So I certainly wouldn’t call him dumb for benching him after that game. So whatever Saban did worked. He has only improved with every game.

Watching at .25 speed, it looks like Arnold's right toe touched the sideline between the 8 and 9 yard line on the return and taking the last score off the board was correct. If the replay official could get that one right you'd think he would have given Burton the catch when his foot was clearly in bounds.

I was there, in the stadium. My first iron bowl game to attend…I just knew I didn’t want to leave there without Alabama winning & when that happened my friends & me went crazy. A night to remember forever for sure!!!
The thing is, it wasn’t 4th and 31 as in 31 gets you a fresh set of down. It was 4th and score or lose the game with 31 yards between you and that goal. Insanity! This team has found a way from week 3 on. It’s amazing, the way the rankings have been I’m afraid the committee won’t let bama in if they win, winning against Georgia will be the toughest task by far and it will take a full 60 minute perfect game.lf bama pulls it off and bama and Georgia don’t get into the final 4, it’s a sham.

There were 2 positive things that came from the missed field goal return 10 years ago:
1) 40 years of the nauseating repetition "punt Bama punt were over.
2) Saban decided to scholarship a place kicker.
Saban always had scholarship kickers. Some of them just weren't very good. Cade Foster and Adam Griffiths were both on scholarship in 2013. As for Punt Bama Punt, Auburn lost the next 9 Iron Bowls after that. I attended Iron Bowls at Legion Field during that stretch and the tailgating Auburn fans playing tapes of the Auburn radio broadcast of the '72 game became kind of pathetic after all those losses.

This was a 4th and 31…had we not scored, Auburn would have taken over on downs and game over. I’m so proud of Milroe and the rest of the offense…that win was sweet. 😂

Black magic. I'm tellin ya. From the very first game in jurdan hair in 89, I was in 5th grade and feeling great. This was the first time since I was able to realize what was going on that Alabama was undefeated and headed for a NC game. I had heard all about how great it was to watch championship Alabama from my parents, and for the first time I was going to be able to experience it. And we go in to this freaking building and lose. To 5-6 Auburn. They built this place on top of an indian burial ground or something. If you bury a cat at midfield, it would come back. Just not the same. There is something in the freaking air. There's something in the freaking soil. I don't like going there. I'll never go back after the kick 6. But we overcame. We had some magic of our own. Roll Tide!

Jalen Milroe released the ball with 37 seconds left. Isaiah Bond caught it with 34 seconds left. So 6 seconds before releasing the ball and 3 seconds in the air. Not bad at all. And they stopped the clock 2 seconds after that. What a great ending.

It was 3rd and Birmingham on the previous play, but 4th and goal on the 31 yard line...had to add a few miles to it.
