    Thanks for the video. We camped on that site (not a good site) and walked up and down. Took 6 hours. I found it very tough going. It was over 30C heat and I was 69 at the time. A great and memorable day. Fabulous part of the world.

      Glad you enjoyed your climb, it’s a great route with some fantastic views, especially at the start looking back towards Wastwater. We’ve stayed at the NT camp site once and found it pretty good. It was quiet though being February but thought the facilities were very good. Thanks so much for watching, appreciate it 👍

    Nice content. Do we have to book ahead of time if we want to pitch a tent and how much is the rate

      Hi and thank you! Yes, you would need to pre book to guarantee a spot. Not sure of the exact prices and they would change due to season. In any case with it being National Trust they’re very competitive and the camp site is really good 👍

    So you made the whole trip (up and down) in just 2 hours and 4 minutes ? Amazing ..

    • @TrailRunningCouple
      @TrailRunningCouple  Год назад +1

      Yes, would have been slightly quicker if we hadn’t have faffed about on the summit! We didn’t intend to run down, was planned to be a walk up and down after we had ran hard a couple of days prior but sometimes you just can’t resist the technical downs! Appreciate you watching and taking time to comment. It’s a lovely way up and down from the campsite 👍

    That's a very good time seeing as you walked up. What was the split, 1:30 up and 35 mins down?

    • @TrailRunningCouple
      @TrailRunningCouple  Год назад +1

      Thanks, your estimation of splits is pretty much spot on. This was after a failed Bob Graham attempt so just went up with the intention of walking but once on the summit felt the need to run down!

      Thanks - I saw your Bob Graham video. You still got a lot of ground covered and probably still covered a small Ultra 😀
