This brings back memories of when I carried mail back in the East of the US in the winter. Some days the wind would be so strong, it would be very difficult to walk into it. Add some snow or icy rain, and it felt like pins and needles hitting my face. It would be so cold and windy that my eyes would begin to freeze shut. A lot of things would be going through my mind. Like, "Why am I out here in this torturous weather, is this job worth the risk of frostbite? My exposed skin would begin to feel like plastic, as the top layer of my skin became so cold that there wasn't any sensation or touch. The weather was so terrible that barely anyone would be outside. The void of any human or animal activities made it feel like some sort of apocalyptic scene in a movie. But I pushed on. Often into evening hours as it began to get even colder. All that would be out there was me and the howling wind. With seemingly an endless load of mail yet to be delivered, I would think that if I survived today, I would be faced with yet another day, week, and months to come. Now, in retirement, I often dream that I am out delivering the mail in such extreme weather. As in dreams, it feels like there is no end to the suffering. Nearly 50 years since I became a City Letter Carrier, or mailman as the public referred to us as, I now suffer the aches and pains, my mother told me would be the result of working in extreme weather. Having a small pension and all of my children had what they needed growing up at home, was it all worth the pain and suffering? Could I have done something else? I actually don't know. It takes a special kind of person to do that job. Maybe I was that person.

Look up a musician named Glen Campbell, he had a song about me and you and a dog named blue, that should be your theme song. Keep up the good work buddy.

Great video! Thank you. Your videos normally make stormy weather feel cosy. But this looked tough. We'll done. Your videos bring us all on an adventure. 🙏
I'm jealous. You got to have one of those "next door to the fearsome outdoors "!!! Nothing that my brother Bill and myself liked better than to be in the middle of a blizzard or thunder storm that is RAGING around us and us safe inside a tent or leeward side of a fallen tree or rock formation. So much great fun. Sure do miss those days. I'm 77 and stuck in bed for the rest.... I rely on you and Jarl to put me inside with you (and Blue) when the.weather turns WONDERFUL 👏 P.S. I still can't figure out why those other RUclipsrs will advertise "Fierce winds, Storm of the Century, Blizzard, Hurricane force, etc., etc. Then they say goodnight and leave you "hanging" till morning and tell you what a fantastic storm it was and what a "time of their life" it was !
Hi Al , Happy New Year Another great vid ,I was up there myself over the New Year to bag more peaks but she ( Mother Nature ) didn’t want me there lol .70 mph winds the rain felt like being pelted with stones , was wetter than an Otters Pocket ! Bagged a couple but didn’t want to put myself in trouble and having the mountain Rescue out .Safety first can always go back .Hope blue recovers soon because we miss him too ! Look forward to more of your adventures this year .👊👊
Only your supreme fitness got you through that, us mere mortals would have perished, or been "gone with the wind". So glad you recorded that and shared it with us.

😂😂😂
Great video! Thank you. Your videos normally make stormy weather feel cosy. But this looked tough. We'll done. Your videos bring us all on an adventure. 🙏
😂 it definitely was a tough night
I'm jealous. You got to have one of those "next door to the fearsome outdoors "!!!
Nothing that my brother Bill and myself liked better than to be in the middle of a blizzard or thunder storm that is RAGING around us and us safe inside a tent or leeward side of a fallen tree or rock formation. So much great fun. Sure do miss those days. I'm 77 and stuck in bed for the rest....
I rely on you and Jarl to put me inside with you (and Blue) when the.weather turns WONDERFUL 👏
😂 well I always mean storm if I say it. I’m sure you have some great memories mate.
Yet another fantastic outdoor guide to wild camping
Just missing Blue 💙
I hope Blue is okay by now and that he is 100% recovered
You can endura the big wind and snow, how amazing!😀
Love the sound of rain on a tent roof keep falling .asleep hope you’re wee dog makes a speedy recovery 💚🏴☘️☘️
I do normally 😂😂😂. Cheers.
Hi Al , Happy New Year
Another great vid ,I was up there myself over the New Year to bag more peaks but she ( Mother Nature ) didn’t want me there lol .70 mph winds the rain felt like being pelted with stones , was wetter than an Otters Pocket ! Bagged a couple but didn’t want to put myself in trouble and having the mountain Rescue out .Safety first can always go back .Hope blue recovers soon because we miss him too ! Look forward to more of your adventures this year .👊👊
It’s very exposed up there for definite 👍. Cheers Jase
Only your supreme fitness got you through that, us mere mortals would have perished, or been "gone with the wind".
So glad you recorded that and shared it with us.
😂 fitness definitely helps in most aspects of life 😉👌
FANTASTIC, as always. If i feel down, I watch your videos on repeat!
😬 that’s awesome mate I’m glad I can bring some positive energy to you. Always keep going mate as those times are always temporary 👊
Wow. What an adventure. Thank you for sharing it with us. I hope you're feeling better now.
Still feeling rough but I’m alive😬
We were with you, worried to death for you! It’s a good job your fit and have all the gear! Hope Blue Boy is feeling better. X
The right gear definitely helps👌
Would love to wake up to that view every day.
Another great adventure..... a challenging camp but so impressed with the tent, a quality piece of kit!
Hope Blue is OK by now, I bet you missed him on this one!
Yes that tent has been through a lot with me and always stands up even when a bit wavy at times😂
Best camping content on the ner, by far.
ANOTHER EPIC VIDEO ,,, TWO THINGS THAT AMAZED ME, HOW DID YOUR EYES HANDLE THAT WIND WITH NO GOGGLES .ALSO HOW DID YOUR TENT STAY ON THE GROUND , I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO SEE ANOTHER SCENE FROM THE WIZARD OF OZ AND YOUR TENT WAS GOING AIRBORNE AND SETTING YOU DOWN SOMEWHERE ELSE... LOL .. LOVE THE VIDEOS MORE PLEASE .. ALL THE BEST TO BLUE I HAVE A FEELING WHEN YOU STARTED HE FELT THESE HIGH WINDS AND SAID YOUR ON YOUR OWN MY FRIEND FOR THIS ONE,, I'LL CHILL IN THE CAR...LOL ..
😂 it was definitely getting to wizard of oz territory. It wasn’t too bad on the eyes as not much snow was getting blown around.
You are my favorite person to adventure with I enjoy and learn from you Best regards🌪🌪
Thank you my friend

Mad dogs and English men indeed. Nice one lad. 64 now so no more of those for me. But when I was much younger I loved mad weather and loved to be out in it.
So happy you were not flown down! Bestto Blue and thank you!!!!
Another terrific video mate! So therapeutic warning it from a cosy room with a fire. Hope you enjoyed yours after this exhausting one and that Blue is OK.
It makes you appreciate the calm times in life😂😂😂
Awwwe hope Blue recover fast with no hiccups.
I think Blue dog feigned injury when he saw the weather forecast! Fantastic video. Shows how good the tent is! X
😂😂😂 he’s not so daft
Blue is one smart dog, he saw the weather forecast and learned how to limp, You fell for it. Great stuff.
Tell me about it 😂
Hey Dude! I just wanted to say a huge thank you for keeping this amazing content coming I truly love chilling out at night watching your amazing RUclips Videos as I find it gives me the encouragement, Enthusiasm and inspiration to get out their and in the wilderness to really clear the Mind and Soul and hit the Reset Button like you always say! I am about to purchase a new Drone being the Mavic 3 Classic with the New Controller that has the inbuilt screen on it so you can see exactly what your doing once the drone is in flight! I can’t wait to get back out there with it and film some amazing landscapes and beautiful scenery! I am gonna get more into the RUclips thing this year and try my best to get a channel going and flowing with more content and hopefully build up a good subscriber platform! What camera and drone are you using at the moment? Also what editing software are you using to edit your videos! I love the camera work in your videos how you get the nicest of sunsets and how you document your adventures just stunning! Keep the good stuff coming dude and all the best to yourself, Blue and the rest of your family! Hope this brings you all much happiness and plenty more amazing adventures! Can’t wait to see more content from you over the next few months! Peace out ✌️ 😂😊
Thanks mate and definitely keep getting out on your own adventures. I film on a GoPro and edit on LumaFusion (there are several). 👍👍👍
Loving the real wild weather videos, I'm sat here with covid so your adventures are great to watch. Miss Blue, hope he better soon. Keep up the brilliant moral for us 27:48
