  • The Bible is all about...babies? God’s original plan for humans centered on us growing, flourishing, and populating the world. But Adam and Eve sinned, and it was both a moral and governmental fall. God’s answer? He promised to send a Baby-the Baby-who would grow up to become a Man and win back the world, not as God but as God in man, to give it back to man.

I live in Tennessee 6 years now. A long time ago, don’t ask me how, but the Lord told me that I would be going to Tennessee: so I told my children, “one day I was going to Tennessee!” I really thought it was going to be for a visit. 🤦‍♀️
But I was homeless at the time.
I was taking Amtrak’s, across country, trying to find a place to live. There weren’t any in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I was homeless. So here I am-stuck in Tennessee. I did happen to get into low income housing (three times in three years). Although, now I have enough money to move, but it’s like $1500 or more just to have a place to live. when you’re on your own that’s a lot of money to have a roof over your head-It’s not really worth the move. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I understand you feelings (high humidity & ALLERGIES 🤧.
I can’t stand it here (with a passion). Not to mention I live in an apartment complex where we are all connected together building to building. 😢
I just thank God that I live in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Where everything else is also is kind-of close together: that part is not so bad. Just don’t get on their (small towns) bad side, because they are close knit here-if you aren’t part of the family circle-they could possibly resemble-children of the corn.👨‍👨‍👧👩‍👩‍👧‍👧👩‍👩‍👧👨‍👨‍👧‍👦👩‍👩‍👧‍👦-😮

Wondering if others find the description of God as a delegator a bit uncomfortable. It seems to me that the character of God is to share and possibly that is what Ty means when he says "delegator." What works for me at this time in my Biblical and emotional development is that God invites humans to be co-laborers with Him. Ciuld God have said, "Here is this beautiful world I made, teaming with life, here are the two of you with limitless potential and I want to share the experience of perfect benevolent care for living things. I share my new creation with you."
Would they depend on God for guidance, wisdom, advanced knowledge as the entered into His invitation, His calling? You bet. In this way the shared joy of "rulling over" i.e. serving what God had created was in perfect harmony with his eternal laws of His realm.
When the serpent deceived them and they took action laced with doubts about God's goodness, the Accuser became co-regent with humanity. In essence Adam and Eve chose another to be their guide as care takers of this planet.

I like your elaboration on the role created for us by God. Perhaps some might understand a delegator as one who gives a portion (or all) of a responsibility to another, but it is not unreasonable at all that a delegator is still interested in an outcome and even available as a consultant and/or a provider of resources - which is how I believe God to be. I liked Ty's comparison of our being created in God's image and our role as parents. A good parent's goal is to raise independent children, but a good parent is always interested and willing to help in any productive way!! God is so good!!!

How can I live without Him? Victory was his and now that victory is for us. We are his and he is ours. He didn't abandon us how can we abandon him? We have to say" here am I Lord " and obey him in love and the freedom he gave us.

21:30 Just an observation. Jesus said that when the Devil “speaks a lie” (John 8:44), the Greek contains the definite article. It literally reads “THE lie.” On the same note, Paul, in 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12, speaks of those who perish because they did not receive the love of the truth and wind up believing “THE lie.” I think the term “THE lie” goes back to this original insinuation about the character of God and really is the first lie found in the Bible, not expresses as a statement (You shall not surely die) but cleverly disguised as a loaded question.

Fantastic. This is an exact antithesis of the usual Jesus-less sermons given by arrogant SDAs pastors. When there is a strong connection to Jesus, it made it worth it. Thank you, pastor Ty!

Can we build people up without tearing others down? Or else we become like them. Edit: (They may call us “arrogant” as well).

@@GoodMorning-uz4xz never meant to tear anyone down but just a reflecting a surprisingly big contrast. Anyone who are offended should look deeply into why our SDA church tend to disconnect Jesus when talking about deep doctrinal talking points, when we should know that without Jesus none of these matters. He is a pinnacle of God's Love.
