Only claymores that survived are Diluc, he’s mostly decent dps (but xiangling is leagues above), razor (Tfurry is funny and very good) and chongyun (used for Shenhe cryo infused dpsers)
As a semi Deyha and ULTIMATE Xinyan main, I’m use to making “bad” characters as op as possible. I’ll have fun seeing how much power I can squeeze out of him. Also AMAZING video, very informative!
Usually the dps itself isn't worth much unless you put buffs on them. There's 3 types of buffs currently in the game Mechanics,reactions,artifacts and character buffs. MECHANICS : depending on enemies, they have less resistance like ruin guard has physical resistance, but future mobs in Fontaine isn't have much. Reactions : any dps so far rely on reactions, people generally just don't like dps that doesn't rely on reactions (like klee for example) , and then there's debuffing reactions too. Artifacts : set pieces that can boost anything from hp to def to even crit rate and spd. Character buffs : atk bonus from benner and bloom dmg increase from nilou are examples.

He'd be much easier to use than Layla in terms of application, even though she's got the one and done shielding. Plus, based on his kit, I kind of want to use him for the on fielder for Thoma burgeon.
Hoyo really seemed to have shot themselves in the foot by releasing really busted 4 stars early on i.e Bennett, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Sucrose and Fischl; and now have to go in reverse by making new 4 stars shitty to not power creep. Then again power creep doesn't even matter when Spiral Abyss is the hardest game mode in this game.
I really like his character design, AND his kit design is interesting too, PLUS his exploration passive. Like why couldn't they at least make him Heizou level or something 😭

The last few times they did that, there was riots. Unforthnately the toxic part of th playerbase made the bed for us. Edit. Off the top of my head, Kokomi, zhongli, Yae Miko, Raiden, Shenhe for not being all had drama for having different kits to previous characters. (some bigger than others, and some extremely disturbing)

The most disappointing aspect about him is the leaked banner that he's going to apparently feature. Paired w XINYAN AND NOELLE. If it wasn't for that, I could try going after him regardless of his numbers
That banner leak was fake, it's just random people speculating and claiming for them to be leaks, we don't have actual leaks on 4* at the moment for 4.1. Edit: meant 4.0 not 4.1, thanks to lostblueboy for correcting me
Going from Qiqi's rapid attack speed straight to a claymore sounds like a huge shift. I remember Keqing suddenly feeling slow after I played Qiqi for a long while when I got her.

Also, Dehya's abominable kit mechanics, the long drought between 3.4 and 3.8, HSR having all the QoL that Genshin needs, and Lyney's kit not being a reaction based kit has finally broken the community and thus CC's aren't able to function anymore. In a time like that, Zajef is still making content. I think that's quite some mental energy he got there.

I mean if you read the leak it clearly that you can brute force them. Pneumousia just made them hit less hard, it doesn't decrease your DMG (Coppellia has 35% all RES in climax, but it's just 35%). So I think a lot of people definitely overreact here.
I get the feeling that Freminet suffers from Dori syndrome, where he might be given out for free in 4.2 or something. And because he's being given out for free, they might be testing out new mechanics on him since a lot of players will be using him for the exploration passive.
I love his design and I’ve been waiting for a character that utilizes shatter!! Idc if he’s not that good compared to other units, I love him and his little penguin buddy! I’m just glad that he’s on zhongli’s banner cuz I need him too. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR PULLS EVERYONE!
Speaking of off-field physical dmg dealers, it would have been a neat idea if he used his ticky, mech penguin as a summon that ticks around and does small aoe physical damage (Sort of like a physical guoba but maybe with the penguin wings instead).
@homudark Even if Mika can’t buff the off field unit, it’s dmg on top of the on field unit’s dmg. Plus, superconduct provides 40% phsycal shred for the on field and off field unit to abuse. 1+1 equals what Luv? Also, Bennet won’t be BIS in superconduct teams. Especially if the on field is a claymore user bc of stagger making it very hard for you and the enemy to stay in Bennet’s circle. Also with an off field phsycal DPS the team would consist of the on field DPS, the off field DPS, Mika and the last slot has to be an electro unit to activate superconduct so either Raiden or Fischl. There’s no room for Bennet.
As of right now he seems like a personality pull but I can really see new physical supports throughout Fontaine coming out that will bring a breathe of life to physical at least a little.
It feels like the only good characters will always be either Archons and safe characters, Lyney is a very safe character, very rare that he' ll have a random power spike like Xiangling or Fischl, Freminet is actually unique, so they make him shit so he doesn't have a chance to become good EVER Kinda "lazy" of Hoyoverse that never takes an actual risk bur it' s whatever
Similar to Zajeff I love weird characters in Genshin so I'm definitely pulling and building him but knowing myself I'll probably need to watch a few more vids to understand how he works and how to build him
His kit makes my eyes SHINE because it looks so damn cool having a character so versatile and that could make less used reactions have a more solid niche usage And then hoyo makes sure you aren't able to play the new 4 stars and we go back to all the just use xiangling bullshit I'll likely build him if I manage to snag some copies from the Tortellini banner, my Yanfei was lvl 90 9/9/9 talents before my xiangling was even ascended past 60 anyways. It's not like spiral abyss is even worth the headache LMAO

the difference is that chongyun is a burst dps who can use other good characters like xiangling, rosaria etc while freminet is a main dps with shit damage so you'll just have to run him with a typical hyperbloom team
Normally I don't go for 4 stars, but I'm very happy he is on a banner with a 5star I want but won't be too sad if I miss (Childe). Hopefully I get at least one of them. I really wish the siblings had some more synergy, I'd love to run a team with all three.
i do disagree with the 2pc 2pc options mentioned in 16:12 The 4pc PF just offers additional 18 percent attack compared to 2pc 2pc which is conditional after doing 2 skills
I doubt Hoyo primarily made the alignment to sell units for abyss. Most players don’t even interact with abyss lol. It’s just a new flavour mechanic for the expansion’s exploration
People like you tend to forget that players that actually spend money on the game do interact with abyss alot , sooo yeah it is quite relevant for hoyo to sell new chars.

we already have restricting mechanics like elemental shields, bow user requirement for ruin drake, electro for asimon, and pneuma/ousia will likely be the same way, as in you caaaan theoretically brute force your way through, but having specific characters would be much easier

Sadly gonna skip the banner most likely since I don't wanna risk a 4 star incident moment, but good luck to those trying or have been waiting to get one of the 5 stars. what you said about hyperbloom is the reason i didn't pull for eula despite really wanting her the entire time ive played the game. the shatter reaction is so useless and the downside of removing freeze is so bad that any cryo claymore on fielder is automatically garbage with any team using hydro. also unless im misunderstanding the gauge theory, if you play a fridge team and cause shatter aren't you literally stealing hydro at that point? it literally makes the team worse than if you just played 3 units
The thing with the hyperbloom Eula team is that it is more about playing an effective Eula team, rather than the best hyperbloom team you can play. If the team lets you clear the content you want to clear, play the character you want to play, and have fun doing it, why wouldn't you play it over a team that you find less fun but is technically "more efficient"? As someone once said, "If given a chance, players will optimize the fun right out of a game." Which just goes to show that people are dumb, because for the vast majority of us, games are an activity we do for fun. That's what you should be maximizing.
Thats so upsetting. Out of the new characters his design is my favorite and a character that can actually utilize a shatter is really cool guessing I gotta get on some Dehya main copium
He's very interesting but he's with Zhongli and Childe, which I both have. Also, despite the fun, rise up a character really costs a lot of mora and books, doing it for these kind of character really feels underwhelming to me. Can't wait to watch mr Zajef farming Pale Flame for him and having fun, hope he gets it soon without wasting primos on zhongli or childe.
That's odd honestly considering Ganyu is obviously an on field dps, but people still remember she _can_ be played as a burst support, but yea, Childe, no such thoughts.

I'm not a big user of phys. carrys myself, but why on earth 21k from the weakest attack became bad for a 4* c0 without ANY buffs? It's half of a standard abyss dps-check of 40k dealed by one character
I really like how his attacks look and I’m curious to see his teams. What I’m thinking is pairing him with raiden/kuki, xingqiu/yelan and then a flex slot. This is interesting to me because to make a shatter team that also has superconduct you would also have good aoe with electro charged.
Can't we just stack a lot of elemental on him and then use him in a similar way you can use sayu to shatter things for about 18K damage. Too bad shatter is a quadratic right.....

I mean if you read the leak it clearly that you can brute force them. Pneumousia just made them hit less hard, it doesn't decrease your DMG (Coppellia has 35% all RES in climax, but it's just 35%). So I think a lot of people definitely overreact here.

I get the feeling that Freminet suffers from Dori syndrome, where he might be given out for free in 4.2 or something. And because he's being given out for free, they might be testing out new mechanics on him since a lot of players will be using him for the exploration passive.
I love his design and I’ve been waiting for a character that utilizes shatter!! Idc if he’s not that good compared to other units, I love him and his little penguin buddy! I’m just glad that he’s on zhongli’s banner cuz I need him too. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR PULLS EVERYONE!
Speaking of off-field physical dmg dealers, it would have been a neat idea if he used his ticky, mech penguin as a summon that ticks around and does small aoe physical damage (Sort of like a physical guoba but maybe with the penguin wings instead).
Physical off field dmg dealers are definitely coming in Fontaine tbh.

@homudark Even if Mika can’t buff the off field unit, it’s dmg on top of the on field unit’s dmg. Plus, superconduct provides 40% phsycal shred for the on field and off field unit to abuse. 1+1 equals what Luv?
Also, Bennet won’t be BIS in superconduct teams. Especially if the on field is a claymore user bc of stagger making it very hard for you and the enemy to stay in Bennet’s circle. Also with an off field phsycal DPS the team would consist of the on field DPS, the off field DPS, Mika and the last slot has to be an electro unit to activate superconduct so either Raiden or Fischl. There’s no room for Bennet.

As of right now he seems like a personality pull but I can really see new physical supports throughout Fontaine coming out that will bring a breathe of life to physical at least a little.

It feels like the only good characters will always be either Archons and safe characters, Lyney is a very safe character, very rare that he' ll have a random power spike like Xiangling or Fischl, Freminet is actually unique, so they make him shit so he doesn't have a chance to become good EVER

I'll likely build him if I manage to snag some copies from the Tortellini banner, my Yanfei was lvl 90 9/9/9 talents before my xiangling was even ascended past 60 anyways. It's not like spiral abyss is even worth the headache LMAO

I built a usable Chongyun out of spite against people saying he was bad, and I will do the same for the new cryo dps boi. We're going to try and get him to do nutty numbers
the difference is that chongyun is a burst dps who can use other good characters like xiangling, rosaria etc while freminet is a main dps with shit damage so you'll just have to run him with a typical hyperbloom team

Normally I don't go for 4 stars, but I'm very happy he is on a banner with a 5star I want but won't be too sad if I miss (Childe). Hopefully I get at least one of them. I really wish the siblings had some more synergy, I'd love to run a team with all three.
i do disagree with the 2pc 2pc options mentioned in 16:12 The 4pc PF just offers additional 18 percent attack compared to 2pc 2pc which is conditional after doing 2 skills
I doubt Hoyo primarily made the alignment to sell units for abyss. Most players don’t even interact with abyss lol. It’s just a new flavour mechanic for the expansion’s exploration
People like you tend to forget that players that actually spend money on the game do interact with abyss alot , sooo yeah it is quite relevant for hoyo to sell new chars.
@@felipemendes5336players who spend money likely have enough invested characters/team comps that can brute force their way through. I doubt they'd make the abyss completely unplayable if you ignore the new alignments.
@@felipemendes5336the vast majority of the player base does NOT interact with the abyss. That’s the exact reason why hoyo said they won’t add more end game content in their GameStop interview saying “Not everyone is interested in Musk Reef”. They have the data to back up that statement.
we already have restricting mechanics like elemental shields, bow user requirement for ruin drake, electro for asimon, and pneuma/ousia will likely be the same way, as in you caaaan theoretically brute force your way through, but having specific characters would be much easier

so his kit basically🔊:1-Long CD on E(ele.. skill)so he can't apply enough cryo in melt teams 2-For Physical his multipliers aren't that good& there isn't enough good physical supports 3-While in his burst mode,the CD of his E will be 3 sec
At least overworld enemies are weak enough that I can probably pretend he's good against them

what you said about hyperbloom is the reason i didn't pull for eula despite really wanting her the entire time ive played the game. the shatter reaction is so useless and the downside of removing freeze is so bad that any cryo claymore on fielder is automatically garbage with any team using hydro. also unless im misunderstanding the gauge theory, if you play a fridge team and cause shatter aren't you literally stealing hydro at that point? it literally makes the team worse than if you just played 3 units
The thing with the hyperbloom Eula team is that it is more about playing an effective Eula team, rather than the best hyperbloom team you can play. If the team lets you clear the content you want to clear, play the character you want to play, and have fun doing it, why wouldn't you play it over a team that you find less fun but is technically "more efficient"?
As someone once said, "If given a chance, players will optimize the fun right out of a game." Which just goes to show that people are dumb, because for the vast majority of us, games are an activity we do for fun. That's what you should be maximizing.

He's very interesting but he's with Zhongli and Childe, which I both have.
Also, despite the fun, rise up a character really costs a lot of mora and books, doing it for these kind of character really feels underwhelming to me.
Can't wait to watch mr Zajef farming Pale Flame for him and having fun, hope he gets it soon without wasting primos on zhongli or childe.
He'll be able to strongbox for the Pale Flame, so that'll help with that.
I think you are underestimating the power of normal attacks at 13. 14 with Childe, everybody forgets he can do that and be an off field burst Hydro.
That's odd honestly considering Ganyu is obviously an on field dps, but people still remember she _can_ be played as a burst support, but yea, Childe, no such thoughts.

I'm not a big user of phys. carrys myself, but why on earth 21k from the weakest attack became bad for a 4* c0 without ANY buffs? It's half of a standard abyss dps-check of 40k dealed by one character
I really like how his attacks look and I’m curious to see his teams. What I’m thinking is pairing him with raiden/kuki, xingqiu/yelan and then a flex slot. This is interesting to me because to make a shatter team that also has superconduct you would also have good aoe with electro charged.
