The Siege of Mandalore is by far my favorite piece of Star Wars media. It's such a perfect way to end this era of the story in teh most gut-wrenching way possible. I still watch it at least once a year and mouth some lines along with it.
Timeline-wise: -"The Bad Batch" takes place over the two years following Order 66 -"Tales of the Jedi" ranges all over the Prequel timeline -"Rebels" takes place 15 years after Order 66, covering the years before "A New Hope" -"Ahsoka" takes place 5 years after the fall of the Empire.
In the 501st Rex was captain, since Ahsoka was a padawan she was commander and Anakin general; Obi Wan didn't had a padawan so his commander was Codi. And Obi Wan doesn't get to tell Ahsoka's message to Anakin because when he returns to Coruscant from Utapau Anakin was already Vader I really love the CW series. Some characters from it's arcs also appear on the Bad Batch and Rebels series.
I'm so glad you powered through the first few seasons to get here. _Every choice you have made... has led you to this moment._ This is my favorite piece of Star Wars, ever. It is a masterpiece in storytelling and pays off years of building up the characters. Thank you so much for uploading this, hope we'll get to see your Rebels reactions!
The MVPs of that final arc, Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka), Dee Bradley Baker (Rex) and Sam **FREAKING** Whitwer (Maul) absolutely bringing their A game. Oh, and Kevin Keiner for the score, especially that final piece of music.
At no point before watching episode 4 did Gigii think she’d be here crying her eyes out to Star Wars. It’s fine we all cried as well but now that that pain and trauma is done onto the next part of the Star Wars trauma. See you in rebels. May the force be with you.
3:23 He saw visions of the jedi's destruction (but mostly only him, with the jedi council not beliving him I think) so he comssioned the Kaminoans to built a clone army for the republic and jedi in secret, to defend them. But since he was good friends with Dooku he sadly told him about that army and after Dooku turned dark, he and Palpatine used that knowledge to ironically make the visions Sifo-Dyas saw happen, so he basically foresaw the doom he helped in creating (which is a bit like with Anakin and his viosions which eventually turned him into Vader and made his visions come true, too).
Which is Very much like Lucas who studied the old legends and myths because it is both the Greek myth of the future-seer knowing the future but not believed by anybody, and trying avoid your future put you on the path towards it
Please don’t forget to watch the mini series « Tales of the Jedi », it’s very short, amazing and basically a Clone Wars spin off with some unexpected surprises!
12:11 Btw, there is an entire comic (or story) about Kix and him after Order 66 and what he thinks about it all. You might want to take a look at that. It is pretty interesting imo.
I'M EARLY LET'S GOO Edit: Just finished watching and it's safe to say we all went through the same emotions. I love how this season is full of incredible fights and outstanding animation, but it didn't disregard the political aspect and it kinda painted the Jedi as cops basically. Also, the fact that the final minutes of the entire show didn't include any dialogue and instead relied on pure visual storytelling was awesome. That shot of Jesse's helmet (with the republic symbol) was a nice metaphor to tell us this was the end of an era, the end of the republic. Ahsoka leaving her lightsaber as metaphor for the fall of the Jedi order. The contrast between the snow and Vader was striking. Him igniting the blue lightsaber kinda signifying that there's still light in him. But we also see him trapped in this new identity, hence why they showed us that shot of Vader's mask were you can see Anakin's eyes behind it. It's so sad. Yes, you're right, the bird was Morai! And yes, Maul was a rightful leader of Mandalore. It's funny because Bo didn't accept him because, well, he killed her sister but also because he's Maul. Or maybe she's just racist (specist???) 🤔 jk
55:09 If George Lucas hadn't sold Star Wars to Disney we would have probably gotten the 10 cancelled clone wars arcs from seasons 8 and 9 which were all cancelled by Disney. Those arcs would have happened before the CW season 7 final arc. Screen Rant has a list of 9 of the 10 still missing arcs on one of their websites, with only the arc missing where Plo Koon brought baby Ahsoka from her village to the jedi temple to become a jedi. In that arc Ahsoka almost got abducted and nearly became a Zygerrian slave I think. We also would have gotten Maul as the main villain of the star wars sequel movies and his apprentice Darth Talon, who was a red skinned Twi'lek female Sith lord from the legends Luk's jedi order era. While taking over Disney sadly also cancelled a few star wars games which were in development at the time, one of them being on Coruscant and called "13-13" (one of the planet's levels).
Funny thing is Maul was defeated by Palptine making him the rightful ruler of Mandalore technically. Then 20 years later Anakin killed him, making Anakin not only the chosen one but the last true ruler.
Gigii I discovered this reaction today and believe you like SW enough to continue on the animated journey of SW where some of the best SW content exists. Disney screwed up the live action content but Rogue One is a damn good movie. However, Filoni after his six seasons of learning under George with the TCW we got season 7 done by Filoni and he continued with Rebels, The Bad Batch and Tales of the Jedi. Tales of the Jedi are 6 short videos with 2 arcs, one for Dooku and one arc for Ahsoka and during the Ahsoka arc it explains why she survived order 66 with Rex as we saw in s7 of TCW. TBB has two seasons with a s3 if Disney doesn't renege on their original plans. Rebels will explain content needed before the live action appearance on Mando s2 and TBOF and Ahsoka the live action series which was done recently. Whether you do reactions on any of this content is on you but thought you might want to know.
Totally loved your reaction and the love-hate attitude to the show. I'm excited to see you continue on towards Tales of the Jedi, Bad Batch and Rebels as well as Ahsoka. You deserve 100k subscribers my girl!
Who was the Jedii who was responsible for the death of the Martez sisters' parents? Green skin woman. There is only one candidate. It was Luminara and Barriss was probably right next to her. Luminara never listened to anyone, she was a fanatic and must win. Who normally pursues armed criminals in crowds of people? Only Luminara, who will put absolutely everyone at risk to complete her mission. Barriss cared about the lives of others and if she was there and saw it, this would clearly be the next step for her. With such a master, everyone would end up like Barriss. Well Luminara definitely deserved Order 66. She Failed as a Master and Failed as a Jedii.
@@gigiiiswatching Ahsoka in Season 7 has Barriss logic. As for killing. Barriss had war trauma and she improvised under the influence of fear. No one helped her for 3 years so personaly I can't blame her. It's a shame that in The Clone Wars she has so little screen time, considering how important she is. Well meybe she will be in Tales of the Jedii.
This is something I would like Filoni to explore in Tales of the Jedi. Barriss' descent towards the dark side wasn't all that different from Dooku & its hinted that her proclamations, regarding the hubris of the Jedi council, at the trial left an impression on Ahsoka.
At 3 am (the moment the finale released) with my friends on a zoom call we watched the last episode of our childhood show, the reason we are as big of star wars fans as we are.
Should Yoda have let Dooku execute Padme, Anakin, and Obi-Wan in Episode II? That was the alternative to fighting the Clone War. Of course, if they had got Dooku at that time, they may have avoided the rest. But, he got away. Yoda's fear of letting those good people he loved be executed "cloud his judgment." In season six Yoda gains the wisdom that he has that fear and it is inevitable.
51:43 In case you didn't know already: Disney took over Star Wars in 2013 (I think) and cancelled this show after its 5th season. The show's creators were able to release the remaining episodes, which they had already finished, on Netflix, so these episodes became CW season 6. That's also the reason why season 6 only has 13 episodes and not 20 or more, because they were cancelled mid-production. Dave and his team finished 12 out of the (about) 52 unfinished Clone Wars episodes in season 7, but there still exist (around) 40 unfinished episodes aka 10 unfinished CW arcs to this day. The scripts of the 40 still unfinished episodes were already finished, as far as I know. You can look up these stories which we still could have gotten before the finale of season 7. I really hope that they will finish more of or all of the 10 arcs/ 40 unfinished CW episodes and release them on screen, one day. We would have seen on screen what happened with Maul and Sidious, Mother Talzin and with Ventress after the season 5 finale, for example, not "just" in comic or book form. We would have also seen more of the affects that Ahsoka leaving had on Anakin and even a very short encounter/ fight between Sidious and Ahsoka. We also would have seen the beginning of the creation of the 1st Death Star on the planet Utapau and an arc about a very interesting and powerful alien race called YUUZHAN VONG from the unknown regions, and they were really important and a huge threat to Luke and his people in the Legends Star Wars extended universe later on. There was also supposed to be an episode that showcased why the Jedi were clouded by the dark side. Apparently the Jedi temple was built on top of a Sith temple, and Palpatine would go down there to practice Sith sorcery. There was also supposed to be an arc about Cad Bane vs. kid Boba Fett and his crew.
With this about half the 501st Legion's soldiers died. Not to mention the losses during the Siege of the Jedi Temple. The 501st did survive into imperial times, being re branded into "Vader's fist". Sadly what remained of the 501st was all but destroyed during the battle of Yavin, when Luke managed to blow up the first Death Star.
Wow, your reaction to the Siege of Mandalore was WOW! The buried clones scene with the helmets - Jessie! - no!, my heart! I loved your reaction and cried all over with you, great job! Now you MUST watch Rebels! Tissues are also required, believe me!
I know a lot of people probably disagree with this but the clone wars as a whole is probably my favorite star wars thing in general it's my favorite era and how much it adds to the prequels wich I wasn't a big fan of with the exception of Revenge of the the Sith but it made that my favorite era and now those are some of my favorite characters and story's it's amazing what they did with that show and I didn't start watching it till after season 6 came out I thought it was a just some cartoon for children but became one of my all time favorite shows
She left only one saber. Consider that a light saber, unlike a blaster, can be used for attack and defense. Consider which one she left. Consider who she received them from and what that metaphorically means in terms of the symbolism of a sword. They are seperate. Unlike mauls which is double ended. Effectively having to still choose between only attack or defense. Cannot do them at the same time.
Great reaction as always Gigi! ❤You describe this show perfect some boring parts and great parts. I think that's why the prequels fell flat with me cause we just got the boring political parts of the clone wars. I also think it's a slight resentment Ahsoka have for Anakin cause he didn't leave with her after the Jedi treated her so terrible. Can't wait for the next one...
Seeing the evolution of your relationship with the Star Wars franchise is incredibly bizzare but also wholesome at the same time.

Jacen would be even younger, wouldn't he ?

Now you've got to watch tales of the jedi, rebels, and the bad batch ... in that order ... then ashoka
