    Sir, you should start using the left (-) paddle shifter, its not a transmission shifter nor is it strict to sport mode. It acts as a mild brake, slows you down without braking with the brake pedal. Works as regenerative braking, it helps recharge your EV battery. I use it on mine quite often and I mostly use it to coast to a stop before hitting the actual brake pedal. It goes back to normal within 2-3 seconds after you accelerate again or come to a full stop.
    Also I'm guessing you're on 19'' rims, try switching them down to 17''s, you'll see a significant improvement in your MPG.
    My 2019 Touring with 15k Miles on it is serving me well, bought it at an auction house in the US, shipped to the UAE :) I'm getting around 38-39 MPG during the hot summer with the AC blasting non stop. I get around 42-44 during winters. Our winters are like your Spring time in the US, lowest temp we get is around 14℃.

      I might just try using that paddle shifter more. Thanks for the info.

    • @MrNinjaops
      @MrNinjaops 8 месяцев назад +1

      The paddle shifters 100% help with the gas mileage and also with the wear on the breaks. I normally get about 45 mpg, but if I drive like an npc I can get about 50 mpg lol. That's half city and highway. I went on a road trip last week did about 42 mpg overall, average speed was about 75 mph. 1750 mile trip. Only time I get below 40mpg is when i drive it like a race car tbh. But live in Florida flat roads 😅. Just hit 32000k miles and love this car.

    I got exact same 2022 Honda accord hybrid sport, same sonic gray color car, but mine with only 14k miles. Bought during pandemic, paid way too much. Sits in garage, so low miles. Wanted to trade it because don’t commute anymore, but only got 24k offer from dealer on trade, so actually negative equity. Shocking, that I still owe more than Honda will offer me.

    • @justbeingmeyoutube
      @justbeingmeyoutube  5 месяцев назад

      I paid over too during the pandemic, which in my opinion was price gouging. They should be refunding all of us who (HAD TO) pay over MSRP for basic cars, or at least deducting it from what is owed. But I'm sure that will never happen because people have become too greedy nowadays. Plus it is suggested MSRP, so I assume the suggested is where they are legally able to price adjust to whatever they want.

  • @MarkD.-wb3yg

    34 mpg is appalling, check your tire pressure. I’m getting 44-47 consistently, but mine has only 14,250 miles. Exact same car. To be frank, I don’t like my hybrid sport because it has zero frills, no luxury features and i paid full msrp at the time, which was paying way more than I should have.

    • @justbeingmeyoutube

      I get like 39 to 42 in city, and only 34 to 37 ish on highway. I average like 36.5 all together. Most of my miles being highway. And ya, tbh I am over my hybrid sport too. The whole reason I bought the car was because I drive a lot almost every day and I figured 40 plug mpg was going to save me a lot. But I am disappointed on the mpg. @@justbeingmeyoutube the weird thing is that I’ve watched other videos where they test the gas mileage of this model and the get more than 40 miles a gallon. Do you drive in sport mode all the time?
      Also, yesterday I sat inside one of these at a dealership and I turned on the AC. The air would not get cold at all. I let it run for a while and still warm air. I thought it was defective so I walked away

    • @justbeingmeyoutube
      @justbeingmeyoutube  9 месяцев назад

      @Blackhawk556. I never have driven in sport mode. I always drive in econ or regular. And yes I've heard others bragging about the milage but most dealers and sponsored people I believe. Or maybe people that only drive a few miles in the city. Maybe people in more steady climates etc I don't know. Also I've never had an issue with the AC, so probably good you walked away. I've owned this car brand new in 2022 drove off the lot with 7 original miles on the car, and now I'm at 151k. I'll be doing another video here shortly on my experience. So far it's been a pretty positive experience and I'm happy so far overall. A tab bit disappointed over the miles per gallon being the only reason I bought a hybrid. At first I did get better gas mileage but I'm noticing over time it seems not so much. I seem to lose like 3 to 7 mpg. And I've had my battery checked and it's still in great condition so that's good. But I think it would be fair to say 29mpg to 34 mpg highway, and 37 to 40 mpg city. My highway are also 70mph, so take that in note. Overall though I have more much positive thoughts about this car than bad. Only bad I can say is the mpg has lacked. Other than that this car has been a great car.
