Haven't even born in the late 90's or early 00's, but I'm sure it is very nostalgic to go back and see that kind of F1 era. The cars, the teams, the broadcast graphic, and of course the screaming V10.
Great video. My childhood nostalgia goes back to mid-late 90s and early 2000s. I'll be attending my first ever F1 race next year at Imola. Whilst I've not got much love for the modern cars, I still can't wait. I remember dreaming of the day when I was a kid.
Hearing Murray Walker while playing the late 90s early 2000s F1 games was just amazing. The Hornet themed Jordan F1 cars, the Jaguar and the BMW Williams were one of my favorite liveries of all time.
I was at the Silverstone museum the year before last and fortunately there was a Mclaren track day on which we could watch - they displayed the Lark liveried F1 GTR, the MP4/22 and championship winning MP4/23, both in chrome Vodafone livery. Pretty special.
I was born in 1996 i grew up with F1 but i didnt really pay much attention... The 90s Rally Games , F1 games , Schumacher in Ferrari in the early 2000s as a german he was Godlike and everywhere ! I was just young and played more with Pokemon and Yu-GI-Oh back than 😂... also the Vettel Era i didnt pay much attention too sadly .. Sure i watched some race and always checked if he won again 😂... years Later in 2014 when the Big Engine change came i started to watch F1 by Myself since than every Single Race! .. i have that early 2000s Era still in my Head the Images, magazines, Posters , the sound is there saved deep in my Head! ... in 2015 i started a Job as a TV technician ... do you know how many "Hobby Rooms" or "Man Caves" we have in germany full of Schumacher Posters ? DTM Posters the 90s DTM ! 190 Evo ,M3 ,Audi ,Opel ... whenever i saw This its like a time capsule ! The late 90s/eaely 2000s locked in those rooms all over germany .. and it Brought back so many Memories
I recognise the game from my older cousin, he was into F1 from an early age. I found F1 boring (Micheal may have had something to do with that) until I saw Button win his first race. Micheal then announced his retirement and I started to appreciate him and had a great introduction to Kimi - he was having a shit.
Not being familiar with them because I'm American, I first learned about Allianz when they sponsored a sort of F1 preview show that would air before a GP and it always featured Williams drivers, mostly young ass Nico Rosberg. The tobacco livery era was truly a GOATed era of F1 livery design.
Despite not being a McLaren fan, my favorite F1 car of all time is the 2007 MP4-22. The chrome red Vodafone livery is stunningly gorgeous and so does the car's design. I prefer the MP4-22 over the 2008's MP4-23 because the I prefer the cleaner and simpler looks of the 22. 23 has that bridge above the front wing and the nose wings which makes it looks overly complex and ruined the car's front looks a little. While 23 is best remembered as Hamilton's first championship winning car, 22 is more memorable for me due to it being the center of the biggest controversy in F1's history, the 2007 spygate, and the toxic rivalry and fallout between Hamilton and Alonso.
Don't ignore the tobacco advertisers. Without them and the large amount of money they put into auto racing and not just F1, the various series would have suffered. McLaren Marlboro of the 80's and early 90's, Marlboro with Ferrari in the late 90's and 2000's. Camel with Williams, later Rothmans, Benson and Hedges with Jordan.Other European brands Tobacco is not a dirty word and ignoring tobacco sponsorships along with the alcohol ones, is attacking history. The Tobacco sponsored cars had some of the best liveries.
Does anyone remember the Sauber BMW driver simulator app? Playing that game on my iPod touch I think was my start to really liking F1 after that I would watch RUclips videos read Wikipedia or check online to read race results. Now I can’t miss a race lol

Not gonna lie, i wish i could watch all of those 2000s in person
I was watching and falling asleep for you, the 2000s had some of the most boring races ever.
F1 was a sport back then.
It has evolved to entertainment nowadays

The Williams that won Brazil in 04 had a conventional nose. They went conventional mid season.

Brilliant video, brilliant era for sure 💕.Totally agree with you x
Netflix led to F1 being one of the most popular sports but also led to true fans to drop-out
Happy holiday, mate !
