This along with your other video on standing up. The one where you say almost feel like your belt buckle is going down towards the ball. Absolute game changer. Hitting the center of the club face and my swing feels amazing. I have been struggling with topping the ball for 4 years ever since I started golf, this and your other video completely changed my swing. Thank you so much.
@@bj146651 what I have found out it’s not a weight shit thing that’s the wrong way to think and it promotes you swaying your body to the left or right. Best way I have found to get proper rotation and to get the left hip clear so the hips don’t get locked up ( which leads to standing up ). Is to push your right foot this leads to your hip loading up ( then in the back swing make sure the hips are pointed towards the target and your shoulders are pointed away, happy Tuesday short on how to set up like a pro ). [Using the ground to push against is very important and leads to a lot of power and ability to replicate the swing again. Best way to imagine it is image one arrow in front of your left foot and right foot pointing forward. This is the way you will be pushing your feet ( pushing your right foot forward towards the arrow, which leads to the right hip loading up behind you. Then push your left foot forward which leads to your left hip getting out of the way to make room for the downswing and leads your left leg straightening up a bit]. Then on the downswing push with you your left leg which will get your left hip to clear and you will no longer have standing up issues or topping the ball issues. This pushing with the left leg will also get you in a better follow through position where when you finish all of you weight will be on your left foots heel and edge of the foot. I’ll link some vids and a collage amateur who said these things that helped
@@bj146651 Happy Tuesday Golf short on how to set up like a pro. Really helped me understand where the body needs to be in order to swing without thinking or adjusting on the downswing. His set up is simple but very effective.
Thank you so much for this. I don't know why I never correlated with envisioning the wall behind but it literally has helped me leaps. It makes it easier to have forward shaft lean and to cover the ball. Your tips have helped me so much! Enjoy and love your content.
saw your video yesterday worked on it at the range. then played and had one of the best ball striking rounds in years. Very simple thoughts and explanation to the drill and method. Can't wait to go out again and try this again.
THANK YOU. I was struggling with topping the ball and getting up or pushing my left hip back was causing me to lose my posture. Just did few swings and THIS IS EXACTLY what i needed to know. THANK YOU
Great refresher and thank you. I've had premature extension (note "extension"...*) for years and now I am busting to head to the range and nail a bucket of partial swings. I've even practised this with my butt against a chair so I can exaggerate the push backwards (still talking about golf). Nice one mate and big thanks from Sydney, Aust - Dave * I generally look elsewhere for help with the other... 😂😁🤣
When I try to bring my left hip back during the downswing, I can't do it without straightening my left leg and and thing with my right leg. Is this ok, and if not how do I fix it?
I stand up too, not so easy to fix you can watch the video all day long. I i’ll stand over the ball saying i need to staydown and still stand up threw the swing.

Do you have any good videos for weight shift? I just started 5 months ago and having a hard time with that.

I just finished playing and used this. THANK YOU!!! I haven't hit the ball like that in 25 years or more!

Excellent summation of the key to consistent ball striking. I just wish I could achieve it!
Great vid and subscribed because of it. I understand the hip moment now so much better. Thank you.
Thank you, just what I needed.

I like the feeling of maintaining the knee joints angle through impact will keep the spine angle through impact.
Great striking mate. So much compression - makes me jealous! Cheers and thanks for the advice - Dave
Does this work for fairway woods also?
Great video
Thanks!
I'm afraid I'm in your second category. Thanks for the helpful advice.
Is it the same feeling for driver?
The gem in this lesson is putting it into full speed is hard to do
I do the same thing by concentrating on getting my right shoulder lower in the down swing
When I try to bring my left hip back during the downswing, I can't do it without straightening my left leg and and thing with my right leg. Is this ok, and if not how do I fix it?

Straightening the trail leg too soon is the cause
How is that ?
I can do all the right things necessary to hit a good shot till the ball is there. I just want to know how to get over that mentally.
When I get my weight over right heel in backswing, I don't come up in downswing.
