Hope you got everything you need to know for traveling to Utila Honduras from my tips and lessons learned!
How to Get to Utila from San Pedro Sula:
By Ferry, Utila Dream Ferry - utilaferry.com/
By Plane, Chartered Flights www.cmairlines.com/en/home/ or www.aerososa.com/en
What to Pack:
Mosquito and Insect Repellent: PROVEN, I love this brand! Comes in a spray or lotion and it’s odorless amzn.to/3zu5CJ9 or amzn.to/3mW2W27
Water shoes: amzn.to/3pSwO10
Transportation Around the Island: If you plan to stay in any place away from the town center, then it is highly recommended you find a good tuk tuk driver and get his whatsapp contact information. A tuk tuk driver can be hired for about $20+ a day (prices have gone up with more travelers) and this will allow you to get a ride anytime, get your errands done and it is a lot cheaper than buying per trip ($7-$15 per trip). For TukTuk Driver and Water Taxi recommendations, leave a comment below.
Scuba Diving
There are ample diving sites all around the island and for the most part, the water currents are mild and safe. Some of the diving companies that operate on the island that you may want to consider include: Utila Dive center, Alton’s dive center, Gunter’s ecomarine dive center, and Parrots dive shop.
Restaurants
The two most recommended places are Mango Tango and El Castillo. Other places to eat include Che Pancho, Mario’s Place, Rio coco Cafe and Hot spot Cafe. Breakfast is usually under $5 and you can have a decent lunch/supper for $10-$15.

Thank you for this insightful video! Seeing about the fun things to do in Utila, Honduras was truly a pleasure. My recent vacation there was nothing short of amazing. Snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs, exploring the charming streets lined with colorful buildings, and experiencing the warm hospitality of the locals made it an unforgettable trip. If you're planning to visit Utila, I highly recommend considering Caribbean Seahawk Resorts for your stay. Their cozy accommodations and prime location will surely enhance your experience without breaking the bank.
I absolutely love Utila! Probably my favourite vacation destination. The people are so friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

Hello, amazing work with Utila :) I was wondering if there was a forum somewhere online or a facebook page to discuss taking a chartered flight with fellow travelers from San pedro sula to Utila and back. We are very interested in visiting and would like to coordinate with other travelers...
Hi there! Thanks for watching! You can post in the “Utila Wannaknow” Facebook page, lots of friendly folks will reach out to you on there with information. And follow @vagabondartist on TikTok for all things Utila!
Neptune is a jewel 💎
Absolutely! Great atmosphere, food, drinks and people!
Amazing video, it's rather informative and nicely shot and edited 😎...being situated so close by to my home country, the entire scene looks oh too familiar. That part @7:36...yeah i think they're str8 bull$h!tting people with that selective cash stunt. I'm guessing someone probably told them to get travelers to hand over fresh bills only or something as no way they'd be acting like prima donnas having the option to pick and choose as though they're royalty or something 😒....Fun video overall this was though, another nice one done here 👍
Yay Thanks! I Wanted to switch it up and provide some more details for other travelers!! Lol the cash thing is super frustrating but as I understand it, the banks won’t accept the bills
that are torn and creased because they assume it’s drug trafficking money.. so in their attempt to “discourage” that kind of stuff from happening they basically just won’t recognize old dollars as real money and so the locals won’t take the money in fear that the banks won’t accept it 😕 it’s pretty sad.
@@GowithRo Always a pleasure 🥂 and I see. That cash fix sounds nuts but such is life over there i guess 🤷🏽🤷🏽
When are sand fleas more prevalent?
Typically after rainstorms. Or at dusk and dawn.
It is cheaper to fly into ROA from Miami and take the ferry. Doesn't cost nearly as much as what is showing on the video. more like $275 and a $30 ferry per person.
Flights vary depending on destination and time of year. Thanks for watching ✌🏽🙌🏽😘
Que mulata mas linda
I'm more of Roatan, Honduras person because they have more Bars, night Clubs, and Restaurants 🤔
I visited Roatan on my last trip and I have to say it was a completely different vibe! Very fun and way more selection of bars and restaurants
