Using the shapebuilder tool might help fill in those shapes easier. Good tutorial. Very clean design.

Did you know you could also just input 360/8 in the angle box. Illustrator will do your math for you without the need for a calculator. Nice work on the mandala.

@@aryashubhan6602 it's on the Transform Effect panel, under Rotate. This works for many of the boxes in Illustrator however. You can add, multiply, subtract... etc.

how do you remove the lines after you are done creating the mandala ? even if i hide the original lines, the lines from the tranform are still there, thanks

I had the same issue. I kept trying and found the solution. Using selection tool just selects the lines and change the stroke to no fill

I recommend using the new method in the video because it is easier to draw and color
