  • The AMX-13 DCA was a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun developed in France in the late 1960s. Built on the chassis of the successful AMX-13 light tank, it featured a two-person turret with powerful 30mm automatic cannons and Oeil Noir 1 Doppler search and tracking radar, significantly improving its air combat capabilities. However, it inherited the weak armor of the AMX-13 light tank and did not have any defensive weapons such as machine guns. While it had good versatility and achieved parts interchangeability with the AMX-13 light tank, it did not participate in actual combat and was retired in the early 1990s. This relatively obscure piece of equipment played a role in the French military's development of armored forces in the post-World War II era.
