interesting product. I have a Macbook and this might be nice for me to organize and listen to my music. I see you have a couple more videos I'll just have to work my way through them
Audirvana is nowadays the best sounding software out there! I use the Origin version, not the Studio version with streaming services inside. It sounds definitely better than Roon imo.
Thanks for the video. I have a question. I am now comparing audirvanaropieeexl on raspberry pi using upnp, with a free volumio trial (which has tidal connect). Someone told me tidal connect would be 'better' since no compressing/encrypting takes place. Do you have an idea if a upnp solution is different than a tidal connect one, soundwise?
UPNP form Audirvana is bit perfect while Tidal Connect and Volumio are not. I use the UPNP function in Audirvana frequently as it is easy and sounds great. Tidal connect is nice because of the number of devices that you can connect to. I hope that helps. Thx.
@@OldGuyHifi Thank you. I am comparing and am a bit even on the audirvana tidal connect, yet I do feel i prefer audirvana upnp over mconnect upnp soundwise. Yet only now i discovered it is a monthly fee that is necessary not a lifetime subscription for audirvana. That is a bummer. I rather either get a nice free or once pay for life proper audio program combining my raspberry pi. Or I give up and buy a streamer with tidal connect suppert so you have proper sound but not monthly fee. Any thoughts on this? Would foobar / jriver / moode be maybe last options before i give up the raspberry adventure (Which was harsh but fulfilling:)
@@richarddodeman9460 Those other software schemes, i.e., Foobar etc. are quite good. I use Audirvana because in my comparison a few years ago it was by far and away the best sounding option. Also, I use Tidal & Qobuz and Audirvana allows me to make playlists that combine both services in one listing. There are lots of good choices so I am sure you can't go wrong. Audirvana just happens to fit my needs best. Let me know what you decide. Thx.
Hi there, my stepdad has Audirvana and he'd like to stream tracks from Tidal in quality higher than 16/44,1. He has the correct subscriptions and in Audirvana settings we've got Max(HiRes) option chosen yet still no songs seem to have quality better than 16/44,1... Is it possible? I've read some forums and they were of not much help.
Audirvana doesn't have any influence on Tidal's bit rate. Only about 10% of Tidal's library is higher than 16/44. Look up some of my playlists. There are hi-rez files there.
I am a new audiophile. My understanding is that you are using a mouse for navigating and selection. I like to lay back on my chair or lay in bed when choosing songs to listen to. Is there a way I could do that by using a remote or my phone as a remote?
Yes you can use a tablet/phone. I did a video on Audirvana Remote. I use a Logitech wireless keyboard with a track pad to control it from my easy chair. Let me know if I can help you on your journey. Thanks for watching.
Ed, where does the PC come into your system? The DAC? If so, do you have to use USB? I’m asking because my J2 does not have USB as I do everything wireless using Wi-Fi and the WiiM.

Seven, Please let me know if you have any questions about Audirvana. Thanks for watching.

I agree with you. Thx.
