Sometimes I watch these videos and feel disappointed because I already knew everything in them. And then I remember how frustrating it is to receive spreadsheets from colleagues who _don’t_ know these formulas, and I feel grateful you're teaching so many essential but non-universal excel skills! Thank you!
Thanks for this video for Finance & Accounts (F&A) persons like me. Excel has been the BEST FRIEND of finance & accounts people. Actually use of any formula depends on the data type, the data size and need of the situation. Excel is so vast that there are more than couple of approches to do the same thing. One with which the user is comfortable is to be adopted. In my work area of financial compliance, SUMIF, SUMIFS, COUNTIF COUNTIFS, XLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, FILTER, UNIQUE, TAKE, IFS are good enough to handle most of the situations. Thanks again :)
Thanks Mynda, i confirm using most of the ones mentioned here 😊 and would like to add one more very powerfull function - the OFFSET function, which in combination with SUM and MATCh function will do amazingly well to agregate data for MTD, YTD, QTD or FY figures, controlling it through slicers. MIN and MAX can add flavour as well here ...Very powerfull for financial statemets and variance analysis...😉
Thanks for sharing! Great points about needing to aggregate data by periods. OFFSET is popular for this, but also volatile. As an alternative, you can use INDEX in the same way you use OFFSET i.e. to create dynamic ranges. I cover this in my INDEX video here: ruclips.net/video/pP7AMLJa0Vc/видео.html
Hoped for more advanced modelling like forecasting headcount in best way with the values changeing alot during periods(and similar thing). Hopefully you Will do more advanced world applicable excersises in the future! Thanks!
Great tutorial as usual, with easy explanations. How do you use index and partial match, if for example the first two characters of the unique number are replaced and rest of the unique number remained the same?
Thank you! I'd use XLOOKUP for partial matches. You can use -1 in the match_mode argument as explained here: www.myonlinetraininghub.com/excel-xlookup-function
@MyOnlineTrainingHub okay. My template will isolate key time series segments that you can later apply forecasting templates to as per the video you have posted.

Same 👍😎✊
Excel templates with formulas pre-programmed based on task are the way to go.

You made my day. Never laughed so hard... Sum(63,000, 5000 etc...😶
Thanks! I use IRR for checking lease transactions while auditing.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your insightful videos. Can you please explain how and/or if SUMPRODUCT can be used to calculate tax payable if we provide the tax slabs?
I'd probably write a LAMBDA function for this, as per this example: www.myonlinetraininghub.com/excel-lambda-function
another excellent tutorial Mynda
Thank you so much 😊
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub absolutely

Many thanks, I am going to use try it.
Thank you! This is great :)
Glad it was helpful!
Looks interesting. Does it include time series segment analysis and forecasting capability?
Not time series segment analysis, no. You can see my video on forecasting here: ruclips.net/video/9zFQrRRwpl0/видео.html

Yep 😉
Excellent video as always, but....where can I buy that t-shirt???
😁 I got mine from Microsoft, but they don't make them anymore. I think you can get some 'copies' from Redbubble.
