I’ve been using this mod for awhile now- btw they have all the ivas now. I can sincerely say that it deserves to be in the stock game not only because it’s balanced but it fits perfectly into the ksp dynamic
Oh boy, this mod is so much better now in its current state. I hope you do some sort of 'revisiting' of the mods you featured. Some of them have greatly improved since.
Was hoping for a bit of a tutorial on how to land these things because hooking up modules on a moon or planet is very difficult. But oh well, it was still good. I really like this mod. This, with station science and Remotetech make KSP extremely good fun (and some mods that give me bigger fuel tanks, engines and boosters).
+Lennart Just take Kerbal attachment system and inventory system and use an engineer and a power driver to attach them. You'll find little concrete foundation blocks that came with the mod. Pack everything up in a big 5m storage container. Kolonization mod is great for this as it has loads of freight kontainers and storage boxes of various sizes both in-line and radially attached. You want a couple of buildings, a few batteries, solar panels etc... Pack it all in a container during the build and send it up with an engineer and two random kerbals for lifting duties. It takes 3-4 kerbals all within a few meters of each other to lift certain heavy parts. Just use the [ and ] keys to get your kerbals in a group on the surface next to your shipping kontainer. So anyways, get to the moon, get your kerbals on the ground, use the engineer to unpack two concrete slabs, (or 4 if you prefer one in each corner of the building) and attach them to the ground using the H key. Then using the engineer with the other 2 kerbals in range for lifting, unpack a building module from the kontainer and once you've highlighted you're desired place, (over the blocks you've already attached to the ground), just attach the building to the concrete slab attached to the ground. Boom, a stable section. :D You don't need to attach every piece to the ground by the way. Corridor connectors are fine as they are just attached to the next piece but certainly the habitat, greenhouse storage rack etc etc... EDIT: And don't be shy about using struts. With a few well placed struts, it can actually add to the over all design look and feel. Again, use the kerbal engineer to attach any extra struts post-landing once your main buildings are in place.
you save me man i was looking for options to go on duna for my first time and i wanted to make a small base to stay there for some time and now this mod is a treasure for me xd
New Mod Link (The old one doesn't work.): www.curseforge.com/kerbal/ksp-mods/kerbal-planetary-base-systems Also, the IVA is now available, with a lot more parts, ie. garage, Science module for the modular storage, base wheel, etc. I could made a vid about it.
Now imagine having this together with the Kerbal Inventory and Kerbal Attachment System mods, keep flying parts to the base and keep expanding from there, bringing more and more Kerbals over there and making a Mun City.
Hey Kottabos, I discovered your vids about 2 days ago, and I must say they are simply great. I enjoy them immensely and you've made a sub out of me. Keep up the great work.
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a mod that lets you move around in Iva so you can interact and admire the parts of Iva you normally can't see but I'm sure it would take years to do that I think like my comment to inspire people to make the Iva mod that allows to you to move around your Karbala on the inside of your ship :D
מה קורה חזכלענזכרכ no he think about MOVING in iva (ex.: in this mod, you can walk inside that base, walking through that gangways.. siting in that habitat, walk to greenhouse...)
Kinda but I'm talking about it in general like you can walk around the cockpits like the default science lab or move around in a large cock pit and climb ladders if available
+The N0o_b game r :3 It's take a long time, MAYBE squad might be able to do it, but however they'd have to be one giant piece. Maybe you could move to different parts of the base in the future that's connected to the part you're in, but walking would be majorly difficult.
I wonder why Scott hasn't covered this yet, it looks amazing. Thanks for covering it Kottabos. The one thing I think is missing is a larger 2.5 m version of all of these. 1.25 is a bit small if you want to build a big beefy self-sustaining base.
This looks pretty awesome. I'll consider it when I can get around to finally getting a build running for the whole Minmus Space Center idea I've had. The existing IVA's are a bit dark, nice but dark.
The comment i posted did have a link showing a screenshot of the deployable/jettisonable wheels that come with this parts pack, but link seems to have been scrubbed. anyway, point is: it's no difficult to build a base and we dont go the mun because it's easy anyway :P
Lloyd hembury I've actually wanted to do a heavily modded series but just haven't had the time. it's the problem with this being my hobby I have limited time to record between work and personal life so sometimes I just can't make all the vids I want.
Since this comment is in 2016, the mod has done everything right, you can see kerbals outside the craft and see Iva views without even iva-ing and every single module has a I a now! Kottabos check the mod out and see how much have changed!!!!!!!
Im barley Decent at KSP but i think the reason your Shuttle was Flipping was for two reasons. your Aerodynamic Lift was In Front of your Mass (i cant confirm that as i dont know the mass of the new objects) And the second was a Seeming Lack of Control Surfaces
How do you land it on the mun or some other planet without hyperedit? Like how does the creator of the mod expect us to get it up there? Would love a response.
I think it would be nice if there was a small mover that could move the modules and attach them. How do you connect them if you bring them as separate modules?
" Fifth Safest " :-)))) I do enjoy the Kerbal sense of humour. I haven't killed one for months although I do have three of them stranded in Kerbin and Mun orbit at the moment.... This mod looks amazing, are their any other colony type mods available ?
ThatZommy I have and when I was looking around inside those module you may have noticed a few chairs in the same area. those are where additional kerbal go. none currently in the bedrooms, but who know that may change.
Is it technically possible that there is a mod/ ksp be created that the Kerbans can walk inside parts we put like gang ways and through docking ports/ air locks. Basically first/3rd person roaming. We really need an update or mod like this
I bought this game when it was beta..alpha..either way it was long before public release. Not once did I power it up to see what it was all about. I'm exploring this game now and I'm hooked, even stopped playing SH4. Could or do you have a listing of the mods you are using?
I LOVE the internal views in this mod. I'm really, really picky about IVA, and this IVA is up there with the ALCOR capsule. Anyone know any other mods with great IVA's (preferably orbital habitation modules)?
now you can grow weed on duna
noice
Red Weed (I wonder if anyone will get this reference)
LoneStarWolf Entertainment I get it.
and there are no cops to catch you
Its Mig don’t forget the space force
Oh jeez. these gangways are reminding me of the Subnautica "builder" menu.
I mean, not that I don't like Subnautica; I love it!
Dracos vatrouna
Yeah me too
I thought the same thing. I love Subnautica. And of course KSP.
Subnautica is what happens when you manage to crash into the ocean on Laythe and live xD
Image how long it would take for the Aurora to explode on impact. It would take my computer a year!
I’ve been using this mod for awhile now- btw they have all the ivas now. I can sincerely say that it deserves to be in the stock game not only because it’s balanced but it fits perfectly into the ksp dynamic
9:09 You need to regulate the speed limit, the Kerbals are driving crazy.
literally
*starts video*
"one minute of intro!"
*sin counter dings*
XD
Next step: inflatable bases that fully deploy. Get some The Martian style stuff going.
Oh boy, this mod is so much better now in its current state. I hope you do some sort of 'revisiting' of the mods you featured. Some of them have greatly improved since.
pahlavi5312 YAS
Fuck no! Stock KSP is beautiful!! NOT MODS!!
GO TO GULAG
**cries because of mods hurting her soul**
Derpa 123456, GO TO GULAG
What a time to look at this. I'm just planning my first moonbase
*munbase
+Jorgan Morgan™ actually Mimbus.
+MWPD officer trainman oh okay
The possibilities with this mod are endless. Ever wanted to make a interstellar colony? Now you can. A city on the Mun, Earth and other planets!

Old, but i was gonna say, kerbal attatchment + inventory mods are a must
Great set of parts, hats of to you for spot-lighting it and another hats off to the guy that created this art for extraplanetary base building!
you save me man i was looking for options to go on duna for my first time and i wanted to make a small base to stay there for some time and now this mod is a treasure for me xd
13athanatosgr13 glad I could help
***** That crappy little shuttle? Duna Shuttle now =D
+KottabosGames The hilarious part is, try using the vessel mover plugin by BahamutoD with a fully flegged out base, It's damn hilarious.
+KottabosGames The hilarious part is, try using the vessel mover plugin by BahamutoD with a fully flegged out base, It's damn hilarious.
huh... an airlock named HAL. How can it go wrong.
Maybe we would have a odyssey in 2001?
I'm not sure it's a good idea. Dave.
I wonder if it has pod bay doors?
Even if it does, they probably don't open.
+blueskiN9802 I'm sorry, I'm afraid you can't comment that.
Finally a base mod that isn't outdated
Hehehe! Trying to fly that thing with no elevons and no tailfins is a nice way to mush some kerbals. Great video!
Wow, excellent video!! Great to see how it all comes together in such a comprehensive tutorial, thanks dude! :D
Everybody gangsta till actual gangstas come through the gangways
the end of the video was very wholesome
I'm getting this mod just because this video was awesome. Thanks for the showcase
I need this... That service bay could make a swag rover lander!
I hope this makes it into the game like the space plane parts and reskins did. :D
If I were to add anything to the game, this would be it.
New Mod Link (The old one doesn't work.): www.curseforge.com/kerbal/ksp-mods/kerbal-planetary-base-systems

This is my new channel to come to for KSP mods. I don't have the game yet, but I will soon. And I want this mod in my game. Defiantly subscribing.
Now imagine having this together with the Kerbal Inventory and Kerbal Attachment System mods, keep flying parts to the base and keep expanding from there, bringing more and more Kerbals over there and making a Mun City.
I feel this mod has expand enough to warrant another video
This makes the game even cooler
Hey Kottabos, I discovered your vids about 2 days ago, and I must say they are simply great. I enjoy them immensely and you've made a sub out of me. Keep up the great work.
RedIsDead45 Well thanks for the sub my friend, I hope you keep enjoying the vids
This just got added to my must haves Keep finding these gems!!
***** ya it's on my must have list now too, and with the amazing modding community this game has I'm sure I'll find plenty more.
I love this so far. Once the parts have IVAs it will be even better. Downloaded it yesterday
Ryan Evans ya and I can't wait to see those new IVAs
I think this is going to be one of my favorite mods!
There's raster prop, and I think squad would add that In da future
מה קורה חזכלענזכרכ no he think about MOVING in iva (ex.: in this mod, you can walk inside that base, walking through that gangways.. siting in that habitat, walk to greenhouse...)

+Prominator123 I would love that we can walk inside the vessel. Go at the forum KSP "Suggestions & Development Discussion"!!
I wonder why Scott hasn't covered this yet, it looks amazing. Thanks for covering it Kottabos.

PTNLemay He may in time, this mod did only just come out a few days ago so it is still pretty new. and oh my yes larger sized parts would be cool
You are an GLORIOUS RUclipsr! ;D
Furry Fox Thank you my friend
This is exactly that was i was looking for! So cool!
My heart
Awesome mod keep up the REALLY GOOD reviews :D
I've downloaded this mod for 1.1.2. It's easily one of my favorite mods currently.
Yay new mod review
Thanks for uploading!
Gangway, Gangway, Gangway, Gangway, Gangway, Gangway, Gangway, Gangway, Gangway, Gangway, GANGWAY
Starting a warp drive test needed base for duna and just found this vid, THANK YOU!
Sean Bush Quest not test
This looks pretty awesome. I'll consider it when I can get around to finally getting a build running for the whole Minmus Space Center idea I've had. The existing IVA's are a bit dark, nice but dark.
The Nuker ya kinda agree with you on the darkness, would be nice to see them a bit more lit up
most awersome IVA's EVER. they really feel like how it should be.
LeroiPaddi completely agree, I've looked at a lot of IVAs with all the mods I've checked out and these are my favourite.
that service bay will be perfect for rovers
The gangways have been meshed up so now it's all of them in one
This mod still works perfectly in 1.10
This is a really impressive mod!
PSquared1969 indeed it is
THIS. NEEDS. TO. BE. IN. STOCK. KSP. Maybe just a LITTLE less gangway things. I mean we have that quad thing.
I downloaded the mod, and it was so freaking cool!
The Martian meets KSP... Amazing.
I will be playing with this.
I built a Mun-Base with the station parts redux mod. The Kraken was hungry.
12:34 lol at those windows. Glass windows bent at around 80 degrees. You don't see this every day.
I just found your channel today. Subscribed!
They should add an ore refinery module and maybe a landing pad module (with some way to dock for fuel or maybe just use KAS)
First vid I watched on your channel: subscriber!
At about 4 minutes it became clear that this mod was designed for hamsters, NOT kerbals. Jeb is not amused.
this looks very nice. but what a mess it would be to assemble it on the mun
+911gpd it would appear this had occurred to them
Hyperedit :)
TrisTechUK sure but i was talking about making it in-game
Oh yea good luck with that ;D Call me in 2017 when you've done it
The comment i posted did have a link showing a screenshot of the deployable/jettisonable wheels that come with this parts pack, but link seems to have been scrubbed. anyway, point is: it's no difficult to build a base and we dont go the mun because it's easy anyway :P
Dude, crust an idea, make a series in sandbox showing off what you can do when you put all your favourite mods together.....
11:35 Starship Troopers, Kerbals vs the Arachnids, it would be slaughter
Would be epic if while in the habitat module u could get up and walk around even into other modules.
9:13 Drifting!!! to the left
That's pretty cool!
You dinot pass Katyusha's Favorite base
they need to make it so you can walk around inside it
WE NEED MORE PARTS IN VANILLA!
..I also wish I had the $40 to buy KSP...
When you get that $40
Buy it
You should do this mod again as it has been updated and there are lots more bits
this is my favourite base mod. download TAC life support, then you will get around 20 more parts
Im barley Decent at KSP but i think the reason your Shuttle was Flipping was for two reasons. your Aerodynamic Lift was In Front of your Mass (i cant confirm that as i dont know the mass of the new objects) And the second was a Seeming Lack of Control Surfaces
You said earlier in the video that there wasn't an iva for the greenhouse or habitat, but you showed them later
great mod ! :)
Kottabos, i dare you to make some kinda giant mobile base in ksp with this mod!
How do you land it on the mun or some other planet without hyperedit? Like how does the creator of the mod expect us to get it up there? Would love a response.
have this with the civilizations mod and life support and bd armory and the orbital docking bay to make the ultimate let's play series
I didn't know that there was a multiplayer mod that sounds fun
I don't know how to install the mod, got everything to work but the parts. XD
13:08 I think that note is meant to be a reference to the Martian but I haven’t watched the movie in forever so correct me if I’m wrong
good job but why you didn't make vtol to the north pole on kerbin
I think it would be nice if there was a small mover that could move the modules and attach them. How do you connect them if you bring them as separate modules?
" Fifth Safest " :-)))) I do enjoy the Kerbal sense of humour. I haven't killed one for months although I do have three of them stranded in Kerbin and Mun orbit at the moment....
This mod looks amazing, are their any other colony type mods available ?
I want to build a train colony with this!
god damn i love this mod
This is a reat mod i'm definately downloading this mod!
Have you checked to see if there are more views when you have multiple kerbals in the modules? I'd love to have a view from inside the bedrooms.
ThatZommy I have and when I was looking around inside those module you may have noticed a few chairs in the same area. those are where additional kerbal go. none currently in the bedrooms, but who know that may change.
***** Ah. I suppose it is easier to just use the community sitting area, though.
Is it technically possible that there is a mod/ ksp be created that the Kerbans can walk inside parts we put like gang ways and through docking ports/ air locks. Basically first/3rd person roaming. We really need an update or mod like this
KSP DA BEST right
we need a inbuilt drill system
I wonder if I could get those parts to attach to the topside of a ship somehow...?
sooo hard to get this onto the moon xD still havent figured out the best way to do so
There is no more gangways :(. Wish they still had them. But they have multi point connectors!
I bought this game when it was beta..alpha..either way it was long before public release. Not once did I power it up to see what it was all about. I'm exploring this game now and I'm hooked, even stopped playing SH4. Could or do you have a listing of the mods you are using?
How often would you expect such a structure to be hit by meteorites in real life?
many zeroes... But, if you have luck pass, and fate walk...
Everything with IVA!
for me Jeb is best kerbal of world ;)
Jeb for president!!! lol, I love jeb too!
+MWPD officer trainman not in a gay way.
No homo
Can you please make a new video about this mod since it got updated for 1.3 and all the new parts please
I LOVE the internal views in this mod. I'm really, really picky about IVA, and this IVA is up there with the ALCOR capsule.
Anyone know any other mods with great IVA's (preferably orbital habitation modules)?
***** That one doesn't have its own IVA's though. It's a great mod and I love it, but its IVA's are a work in progress I guess.
How can you dock parts on uneven ground? Does the "Flexible corridor" part in the mod (Which you skipped!) has to do anything with that?
How would you get those parts up into space and then connect them on the ground?
Just keep trying
Do you install this mod differently than others? I copied the gamedata file to ksp's gamedata file and it's installed, but the parts aren't there.
Gorgeus
Wait so what I am getting is that hyper edit can make me put creations ANYWHERE? Could you maybe send a link on how to install this mod? Thanks
