Hi great video, very helpful. One hint though- always take the filler plug out BEFORE the drain. If you drain the oil then find the filler is seized in there, you are screwed! Lol. Can't refill the oil and a empty gearset.... at least if you pull the filler first you're gears still have oil in there. a
haha thanks for that, i think i mentioned the same thing in my last vid on landcruiser differential and transfer case service ( esp re the front diff filler plug...damn torx head ) . i loosen it but i leave the filler in as it creates an air lock and i can direct the oil into my container better. i dont know how many times the oil has overshot my container if i do it your way, and i hate cleaning up oil spills,especially gear oil...thanks for your input helps everyone. cheers
not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all the latest movies and series on Instaflixxer. Have been watching with my girlfriend these days =)

Yeah I couldn’t even get the plugs out of my rear diff, they clearly used some kind of loctite or thread sealer on it, I’m going to have to pay people with more tools than me to get it done

What would cause 4x4 to cut in and out on a 2011 d22 2.5 in sand mainly
hi, some put a switch on the torque converter clutch solenoid to try stop that. cheers

Hey what size/bit do you use on the filler plug?
hi, we try use single hex sockets on narrow head plugs so to try not damage the hex. make sure you push it in hard when you try loosen it, because most people ( incl mechanics ) tighten plugs like they are a tow ball. if socket is a bit sloppy on bolt head, sometimes putting very coarse grinding paste in socket will help take up some of the slop. cheers
