Of course, I'm sure just about everything today is "edgy" to a person whose understanding of the world is literally the same as that held by ignorant desert peoples over 2000 years ago.
I'd just like to point out, that I've always interpreted the protection of religious liberty to BE the utter protection of all ideas.
If unprovable, faith-based random ideas of the supernatural cannot be infringed, that sets a lower bound for how crazy of ides are still protected. If you can't persecute someone for a religious idea, you can't persecute them for any idea.

There is a difference between Trump and Obama. Trump is like being hit in the head with a jagged rock, where Obama was more like being hit with a nice smooth river rock.

Looking retrospectively a few years on, this song is tremendously unbiased and correct, whether it is Obama, trump, or Biden in the US. Or whether it is Blair or Johnson in the UK. All national leaders are exactly like this, no matter what policy's they put in the manifesto you can guarantee they will do everything in this song.

@@ragingfred Much of what you seem be describing the Bush jump was actually Obama jump because it didn't hit until almost the end of Bush's time in office. Bush's deficit increases were mostly in fact the wars (i..e 2001-2004) and his insistence on cutting taxes when we just had the budget deficit taken care of.

There's basically no data - no matter how good or bad Trump is as a president, we don't know how bad H. Clinton would be. We only know they were both bad choices even before the elections and, according to the results, Trump was the slightly less bad - for voters, that is.

I don't think Remy was necessarily accusing Trump preemptively of doing these things, but rather mocking the people who were clutching pearls about Trump and the hypocrisy of their hyperbole regarding what Trump might do in office while they ignored that the Obama administration was already doing them.

IDK what rock I’ve been hiding under but so far Remy is fanF*CKINtastic. When I reached this Cohen song, I immediately thought, “Oh no!”
The song is described as tragically funny. It think of so many covers like Jeff Buckley (whose end was heartbreakingly grim, as was his father’s).
It’s magical yet its brevity is haunting. It’s sad that it’s just too short. If you add all of this up, it’s a work of art. ❤️

I can't believe it took me so long to find this!!! Big Trump supporter over here, absolutely despise Clintons for 20+ years, thank God every day she didn't win, but for some reason I can't quite explain I loved that little song at the beginning of SNL after the election. Something really spoke to me with the lyrics and everything. Every once in a while I go back and listen to it again (and again and again . . . ) and noticed this video today. PERFECT!!! :D

I was certainly in this camp at this point, but he was mostly fine. He created far more peace than any other president in at least decades. He wasn't ideal, but he wasn't Obama, Biden, Clinton, or the Bush's.

Policy wise Trump wasn't bad. As far as the debt, if other countries continue to allow use to borrow in negative real terms, what do we do? At some point, you have to take advantage of the system.

Trump was the only president in a while who didn't start any new wars. He is not conservative sadly but I prefer him to the alternative any day. At least he loves the country and is not ashamed of God . I think Trump did a great job as president all things considered.
