I just bought a 68 f-100 4x4 from California. Rock solid. She's gonna be the nicest rig in Massachusetts. Probably not. Keep it up your truck looks killer. Inside and out.
I also have a 71 F100 4x4, broke the driver side spindle. Paid alot more than i should have for new spindles (decided to replace both). If you are watching this video, probably yours broke too.. but if not, strongly suggest inspecting them. Not much holding the wheel on once spindle breaks, basically just a snap ring.. I was lucky, mine popped while parking at work.
Thanks for this video. My daughter broke the spindle on her '74 F100 and it broke in exactly the same place as yours. Looks identical. Quick question - @8:08, the castle nut has a small pin, and it looked like you installed it with the pin pointing in. Is that right? I thought the pin was supposed to lock in one of the many holes in the lock washer that goes on next. Thanks!

The newer ones have a different spindle lock you’re correct.

I sold it a year ago. I would like to buy it back but he’s asking way too much..
