*Awesome impact **MyBest.Tools** Takes tires off in a second. Plenty of power for what I’ve used it for - rotating tires. Using it on 3rd setting for removal and 2nd setting for tightening lugs.*
Yep, very strong and portable
I used ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4ynqaujg7rZKFapA8s29kTpRszJGa3-K this for the first time today to replace the front wheel bearing on my rwd 98 dodge dakota. This had absolutely no issue removing or reinstalling the lug nuts and it took off the axle nut without any struggle. Sounds like it's got some muscle to it. Time will tell
Surprisingly not tool heavy just need the space to store it
Most people seem to just put on lugs on their semis and lorrys with an air gun on full blast to save time, props for actually using a torque wrench.
Thanks, don't want to be that guy on the side of the road
@@tradesmenlife never let a shop use torque sticks either, they are wildly inconsistent and not usually accurate
@@nomercyinc6783 more like, make sure they use the CORRECT torque stick. There's nothing wrong with them.
I have this and it is a great impact wrench. The torque claim by Ridgid is higher than what it really is. The Torque Testing channel has tested this and the highest is 791 ft/lb.
It's got power, let's see how long it last before something breaks, and warranty service
I’ve got the same one.
Yes but the test torque test channel said to use the Octane 3 amp battery because that's the battery with 21700 cells the other batteries have 18650 cells 👍
With regular battery you'll lose power. Try again with the 6 or 9AH Octane battery and report back on what you find!
So I know this was two years ago, but what torque test channel measures can be quite a bit less than breakaway torque, which can’t really be effectively measured. I’d say the breakaway torque figure probably isn’t too far off
I bought a harbor Freight gun case to put my Ridgids in with and charged battery an sockets. Always in the truck, sometimes I'll stop to help change out a tire for a woman or helpless kid.
Very nice! Good Job!
Kudos for taking time to become familiar with your equipment and you are right about putting oil in the space between the flange and the nut. Should be done before you install the nut though as the oil permits the nut to turn with less resistance once the flange has made contact with the wheel.
The 3ah battery uses the 21700 cells, rather than the 18650 cells used in Rdigid's standard batteries. The 21700 will put out more amps to the tool than 18650's will. I THINK the 3ah battery is the only one using the 21700's, but admit I could well be mistaken about that.
Yep, bigger batteries more power
Actually not mistaken about the 3.0 ah octane battery that's the only one currently right now that has 21700 cells the new Max output 6.0 ah and 8.0 ah coming out in a few months will have 21700 cells
@@tradesmenlife - Bigger batteries do not give you more power (as in watts). What It gives you is a less of a voltage drop in the larger battery when tested alongside the smaller batteries over a period of time. Power is a product of volts times amperes (in a DC circuit).
@@tradesmenlife not always, because the 3.0 OCTANE battery gives your tool the most power out of all Ridgid batteries
I’m pretty sure the whole Octane line of batteries (3, 6 & 9Ah) uses the 21700 Samsung 30T. The 30T has a max sustained output of about 30-35A. So the 9Ah Octane could in theory have an output of 105 amps! At 18.5V that’s 1942w! I mean, they may well have limited the current seeing as the standard Ridgid battery contacts may not be able to handle 100A. Still, the Octane is a chunky line.
those damn tires shops just hammer away with the 1 inch impact , they dont even torque to specs , just assume hammer on them break studs
Very True!
I work at a trailer/truck repair shop. I have this impact and for me it hasn’t worked too well because of this issue. I think they get way over torqued with the 1”.
Well, if you have a wrench that TTC dyno'd, and knew how much torque it puts out after so-and-so seconds of hammering(or have a wrench that literally could not make more than 500 ft-lbs), I presume you'd still be more accurate with those lugs than the boys at Mavis Discount.
I always change truck tires wearing flip flops, because I hate my toes.
And you talk crap because you hate your mouth?
@@tradesmenlife that was intelligent. Nothing stops you from making videos showing unsafe working practices that OSHA would shut you down for, but you shouldnt be surprised to get called on them.
Amazing 🤩 it’s better than the Milwaukee the ridgid. New version it’s weaker than this one ☝️
Trying to get my hands on one now. Selling my mint Ridgid Mid Torque for this
@@PaulRudd1941 Don't worry I got mine new from Facebook marketplace 😁 We're living dangerous!
I love my RIDGIDS I HAVE ALL THE OCTANE TOOLS EXCEPT PLAINER AND THAT LOL 🤣 IM GETTING IT TODAY INDEED 👍💯🇺🇸
Hey man I'm not calling you a liar but those wheels didnt seem be tightened down to 450 because my dads friend who has a RV gets his tighten down to 450 and when my dad a 1/2 air ingersoll rand it struggled to take the wheel off
Yeah this drill makes it look easy, it's definitely 475lb of torque, if not the wheels would come off on the Highway
@@tradesmenlife ok yea I could believe that
Torque test channel has Dyno runs on this unit at 738 ft/lb at 10 seconds in reverse so not remotely close to lying.
Boy lol you better believe what you see .that impact take all ten tires off my semi .and put them on trouble
@@aldainsmith1866 question how many seconds does it take for the impact to break free your semi lug nuts
Big ass wrench for a big ass truck
Highest output 1/2 pistol grip right? Nice one Ridgid
only with the Octane battery they don't make anymore. Probably because the parent company TTI also owns Milwaukee and it outperformed the equivalent Fuel 1/2 impact, and the new batteries put it behind the Fuel impact
Love ridgid
Very nice tool to have!
Yes Thanks for watching
75lb. Torque, got it.
Love this drill
Got 2 high torque love mine too
Seriously does anyone really think that impact puts out 1500ft lbs of torque, I'd honestly be impressed if it could do half of that. They all lie, though some are worse than others.
It doesn't, at most 700-800
Go to torque test channel They let you know What's what with all the Torque wrenches
They do!
Here's Hercules Ultra Torque doing 2000ft lbs

Love this tool
Thanks Johnny
299$ in Canada best bang for your $$...!!!
That Lug was definitely not 450.
Is that the high torque or mid torque wrench
high, mid would struggle
Mid would take it off.. Couple it with the Octane 3 or 6AH battery and off she goes
@@mike_t_007 True! My mid torque removed a rusty lugnut on a 500 ft-lbs trailer that was sitting for years.
@@404notfound..... I bet it ripped off that bolt like it was nothing too 😁
The 4mah will give you better results.
I like the idea of what he is putting down but have to call b.s. Because 450 I really don't think so, he torqued this just too easy I've torqued diesel wheel so !?
I make it look easy, don't get mad 🤪
No BS. Look at the length of the torque wrench he's using and the leverage you would get out of that is impressive. I think someone said if you gave him a long enough lever he could move the Moon. Maybe the guitar player from The Who said it???
@@tradesmenlife i trust you more than these keyboard mechanics!
Stupid pointed caps, which are dangerous as Hell.
They are just plastic, keeps crazy drivers away, and keeps my nuts clean and tight.
Always keep your nuts clean
Looks a little much for a tool truck wheel but there functional, nobody likes dirty nuts
In reality it’s an orange Milwaukee
Old Milwaukee was the best
@@tradesmenlife the 2767 is still the top of the market for price and warranty
It was until this came out

It has the same thing I hate about my Milwaukee, the freaking light placement, I have to keep covering the light to see when changing the modes
