The game was an eye rolling disappointment - all the flaws that haunted them this year were on display in this game. Holding the ball too long, taking sacks 30 yards behind LOS, no commitment to running the ball, and so on.

    Overall a very successful season

    • @DreLBrown529
      @DreLBrown529 4 дня назад +2

WAKE UP! Colorado loss had nothing to do with Shedeur and your assertion that he was holding the ball too long, because that wasn’t the case. Colorado loss this game because they didn’t have any type of run game. BYU knew this and they took advantage by playing off the line and zoning the hell out of Colorado leaving Shedeur damn near nowhere to throw the ball. BYU only needed a few guys on front line trenches to rush Shedeur, while the rest stood back protecting against the pass. The only way Colorado would have been able to get them out of that zone, was to do something that they have been incapable of doing all season; and that’s run the ball. You are not going to beat any good defensive team with a one dimensional offense, which is what Colorado has. Deion won’t be winning any BIG 12 titles let alone playing for national title anytime soon until he addresses and fix his run game.

@ Well that’s on the coaching staff to address that. If Deion is allowing this, then it’s on them for not pulling Shedeur’s coattail. Again, this game shows that Colorado has absolutely no run game. So they are a reliant on their passing game but when they can't run then teams know that they're going to pass. Also BYU played an exceptional game. When you kick an onsides kick in the first quarter, that means that you are ready to play.

They have a run game, it's just that Shedeur runs rpo actions on every snap and he rarely hands the ball off unless it's a lazy zone-read hand-off up the middle. The RB totaled like around 10 carries. That is not even trying to see if you can run the ball.

What’s impressive about BYU is they can’t-and will probably never - get high 4s and 5s. Their foundational culture is blue collar, lunch pail, OG football. Their staff schemes, develops and coaches the lasts drop out of their players. They have to be very calculated, they can’t have lapses in any phase; they’re never going to beat a team on pure athleticism. That said, they weren’t playing a top team last night. They played a team that was overvalued by media propaganda and that have the same problems from their first game. The Buffs were unable to correct them-the trenches are average to poor. The Buffs are better than last year and are going in the right direction as is BYU.

      4 years ago isn’t “forever”.
Before playing in the Alamo Bowl this year,
CU played in the Alamo Bowl in 2020 & 2016.

I think BYU's two loses put a chip on their shoulder to play a solid game.

    • @jkh2180

BYU's two losses are really not as bad as people make them out to be. They outplayed Kansas that whole game. It was their own mistakes + a fluky quarterback pooch punt that bounced off a BYU defender that lost that game on the scoreboard. And then they fell like a yard short in a 5 point loss to an 11 win CFP team on the road.
ASU was their only game all year where they got outplayed. And it was only slightly.
They beat another 11 win CFP team on the road (SMU)
BYU is a really REALLY good football team. They should've been in the playoff convo even with those two losses. They were severely underranked at 17.

One of Coach Prime's faults in his leading the Buffs Program is his need, thirst for attention. This Hollywood Thang?..... What other College team goes to Seaworld and Mall shopping before a Big game? It is hard enough trying to keep the Team locked in and focus. You take them to SeaWorld and task team to exchange gifts before a game? Oops! There goes what little focus they were carrying. Keeping your Team on edge and hungry. Too much silly playing. I had BYU being up by 10pts. They surpassed that. Being "Old School (70yrs) I can't agree with this logic. You get what you ask for!

CU guys were tired and BYU was older with years of bowl experience. Shedeur told his dad to stop all those events. Hill-Green was missed. And the Travis "elephant" distraction, Jimmy focused, and mental fatigue got the team.

Yep. BYU had 3 wins that were better than any win on Indianas resume. Now they have 4.
      BYU's best wins
11-2 SMU by 3 on the road
9-4 Colorado by 22 nuetral site
9-4 Kansas St by 29 at home
8-4 Baylor by 7 on the road
      Indiana's best win

Nothing ugly about BYU's coaching, that was near perfect for the whole game. CU should have spent more time on prep and coaching, and less on big mouth talk and bling.

lol - Dude is blaming the time off before the bowl game for his sorry team. Colorado was a Jr. Varsity team that played a ok Varsity team. Now imagine what would've happened had they played a real top 10 team. But at least the media got you the Heisman trophy.
