I miss the days when producers were hella secretive about the sounds and samples they used. Lol.
Hard to do that with who sample. I love finding samples when im on my own dig. haha alas, time be movin, unless you go super deep into the crates, the internet gonna kno
Hailmary is lightening in a bottle. Hurt-M-Badd will always be a legend for that track alone
He was on the Me n My Girlfriend beat too. What a classic
Great in-depth interview. I like these behind the scenes outlook of how Pac worked the studio
Just sitting here listening to Starin' through my rearview and after all these years, I had to look up who produced this track to give credit where it's due. Song is pure nostalgia and bring back good memories and sad ones.

This channel is important, so many gems of information in these interviews
REALLY GOOD interview, thanks for this 👍🏼 That album is in my top 20.albums on all time.
Keep up the good work
Jmix Exclusives... don't sell out.
Hold Ya Head is my favorite song off the album. Tupac pulled greatness out of those producers.

@Castor Troy yeah man. Pac was going somewhere else with his sound. Definitely a departure from that Cali party vibe

My Favorite Pack song next to Pain..
Hold it ..yea pac was on one
Yes my favorite too
Great Interview with Hurt M Badd...Pac recorded his best work on the Makaveli Album
Twizo Buckley I love 7 Day Theory, but to me, even 2Pacalypse Now is amazing, beginning to end. It was so fitting have that as his debut, and 7 Day.. as his final piece
Me Against The World was his best
Makaveli SHAKUR
Yeah, even 2Pacalypse Now is masterpiece too. However, too bad that the production of all track in 2Pacalypse Now isn't really great but Pac style based on his flow, lyrics, message and delivery were incredible in 1991. Moreover, they remove all of their numerous additional tracks which they already have more than 10 unused and unreleased tracks that already made by Pac which most of it were even dope and deserved to be released together with the 13 official track. If only They weren't removed all of the additional track and just released with the 13 official track, the track listing on 2Pacalypse album would be more than 20 tracks and should be the first Double Disc debut album ever made by Pac before All Eyez On Me. Perfect. Beside, 2Paclayspe Now would be the best debut hip hop album ever if the production did a good job with put the dope beat on it plus with the beat would following with Tupac style and if the album is the double disc.
That's why 2Pacalsypse Now is actually the best debut album if the production did a good job and if they let Pac released the additional track. Beside, that's why Pac work ethic were so incredible than any other rapper. Since his early career, Pac already have made more song even for his debut album that could be all of his album be the double disc. Could be better than Illmatic and Ready To Die which these two album are most overrated debut hip hop album ever while 2Pacalypse Now is most underrated. Even 2Pacalypse Now could be the Double Disc too before All Eyez On Me because Pac already make more than 10 unreleased track for 2Pacalyspe but all of it were removed.

Yo bro if you see this I'm proud of you man I remember when you use to battle on the west side on wells and Montclair man you doing it bro
Saw this video "TOO MANY YEARS LATER" today and found it inspiring for myself because I´m a lazy musician. But NO MORE!
Chi-Town!!!
Smart business move to cut those tracks from makaveli. This enabled them to stretch the material and use it for another project(s) and make more $$$. As a fan I would've loved to hear them on DK7- but it makes perfect business sense.
Jmix who's song is the what's my name song if it's pacs how can I get it
28:54 Respect I can relate.
Where in the wold is... chi-town jesse!?
you rang 😁
I've always been interested to know how the intros, skits, and interludes on Makaveli came about. Any Intel on that?
John Hajduk Great question
I wonder if the intro to Blasphemy originally came with the beat or is that something PAC wanted added? Where did Tyrone get that sample from? How was the energy during the "me and my girlfriend" skit with the female & gunfire? How did the intro before toss it up come about, and was that one of the first tracks recorded? ( only time he mentions snoop on the album) Who actually performed the reporter part of bomb first?( To me it actually sounded like Kevin powell) but you know, shit like that.
John Hajduk Great questions! I have had all those same questions as well. Go to making of the makaveli album on RUclips and you will see 2pacforumchannel. And he interviews the engineers and producers and they go track by track from bomb first to the last track and they describe how every thing came out and the vibe and the samples from Malcolm x on hold ya head. Every thing you will enjoy it.
Cool, I will check that out.
John Hajduk Blasphemy... Hurt-M-Badd did that beat completely... Me & My Girlfriend, that girl was the receptionist at Death Row. The gunfire sound effects were mixed in after Pac laid his vocals... Toss It Up was done by Darryl Harper. I think him & Tommy D (engineer) added in the Street Science interlude. If I'm not mistaken those are audio clips from a local radio station, possibly 92.3 The Beat... Hurt-M-Badd produced Bomb First. I don't remember where he got the reporter's voice from. But if you keep listening to his interviews between J-Mix, Bomb 1st, and 2PacForumChannel, you'l eventually find all of your answers. Bet. 💯💯💯
Nice interview.. but the trap sound originated in Memphis in the early 90s.. research it. Still his sound was original and great.
Gangsta Pat?
Dj Squeeky, DJ Paul Juicy J, DJ Zirk, Dj Sound
Is he alive? Does he have Instagram or something?
Hurt m badd
The best
Great comment on genres and generations.
I'm constantly bashing this new wave of 'mumble crap' wondering what the fuck has possessed this latest generation
Shawzy 187 corporations took over..its the kinda rap they always dreamed of..bullshit music!!!...its what their signing now.
Hail Mary was fire...didnt know that was Pac until I watched Baby Boy...Came to bring the Pain by Devante Swing and Pac sounds like a trap song too

Makaveli is the goat album ever
Everybody knows he was talking about Pac came and snoop was jealous of the shine on pac
18:33 Blasphemy
LIES! Hurt m. Badd is a liar! He didnt produce any of the Makaveli album.
@Jalen X Blair Lmao! He didn't sing on Hold ya Head. Did you listen to the music or are you sheep? There's a lot of sheep out there. There are clues. You just listen to the beats. That's it! Hurt M. BADD did NOTHING on the Makaveli album. Trust me!
This comment section is trash asf 🤦♂️
