    Never had codfish cakes without baking powder and egg and I'm antiguan...I make annatto oil all the time...I'm going to try your way

    Never seen anyone using this but those fritters sure looks good. I'm just getting back my appetite after mourning my father's death the past 6 weeks. I'm eating everything under the sun 😭

    Hi Jerene, I believe you live in my region. Can you tell me which grocery store you got your annatto seeds from please.

      I get them at the west indian stores

    Salt fish tastes much better when you soak it for several hours instead of boiling it.

      I do either. If I wake up in the mood for Fritters, there's no time to soak so I just boil. Either works for me based on the situation.

    Has my whole life been a lie!? I thought the yellow color from fish cakes was curry powder 😭 I've not heard of this oil (...calls her grandmother...)

      @@JerenesEats Ah kk! Phew! btw, my grandparents got their first tablet and Internet access as a holiday gift. In addition to their fav pastors and Jamaican news channels, my grandmother specifically wanted a Jamaican cooking channel so I gave her yours last month 😉
