Radioactive Ukulele Play Along
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 29 янв 2018
- For educational use. Optimized for GCEA ukulele. Key of Am. The original is in Bm, so this is a whole step lower.
As performed by Imagine Dragons.
There is an existing ukulele play along by Linse Sullivan ( • Radioactive by Imagine... ). I wanted to add a few things for my students.
Video created on the iPad Pro using Luma Fusion. The ukulele chord font is Chordette for Education, available at ukefarm.com.
The colored font matches Aquila KIDS and DR Multi-Color ukulele strings.

Honestly DUT sounds so good with this and is really beginner friendly
Thanks for sharing your pattern.
What’s the meaning of the T?
David Miclette Tap
I just did DD 0.0
I'm playing this song with my sister playing recorder at my school talent show tomorrow. Thank for the great play along. Super easy and fun to practice with
Have fun and do well! I'm glad the videos are a help.
Hey! It’s been a while. So how did the talent show go?
For anyone who wants strumming pattern recommendations, I really liked D DUU D during the chorus and D DUU for the rest of the song :) Happy playing!
Thanks for the suggestion!
That’s what I do!
DDU (Mute) Sounds so good
That is a great solution/suggestion. This song is mostly used by schools with ukuleles in general music class, so the students are usually struggling to play the G and D chords. Chucking is still in most of their futures... :)
The intro goes well with DDU UDU and the fist 2 verses with 2 strums per chord and the choruses with 4 strums like
DDU UDU(intro)
DD(verses)
DD(post-verses)
DDDD(pre choruses)
DDDD(choruses)
Thanks!
@@ukeplayalongs you're welcome
Seems like every song my students ask for is on your channel. Thanks Ukeplayalongs :-)
I had a person leave a comment the other day (I deleted it) that my channel sucked and that Ukulaliens is so much better...clearly not understanding that we’re not competitors and that we’re friends. All that said, positive feedback, especially from people that I count as colleagues, is appreciated!
Thank you for putting this on RUclips it was amazing
You’re welcome!
If you’re able to chuck I’d say you should try D-U-X(chuck) for strumming pattern to catch the drums in the song!
Sounds like a plan!
D DDU sounds kinda cool at the chorus
Thank you for sharing a strumming suggestion.
My music teacher loves to use these songs
On our music class :,D
Tell them “thank you” for me!
nice
Thank you.
I like doing DDUUDU for verses, DDDDU for pre chorus and DUDUDDU for chorus
Whatever fits with the music, keeps to the beat, and works for you. That's what mattters.
can you show how many times we should play that same chord? its because i dont know if we should play it one time. sorry
Not in this format. Watch for when the chord indicator starts to fade...and listen closely to the music. One of the benefits of this format is that you start to listen for the chord changes with repeated practice.
We played this at school, thank you.
Please thank your teacher (from me) for using it!
Same!!!
What does the red octagon mean?
It’s a stop sign! 🛑
i realised that this song sounds like the future lol. an apocalipse of tech!
They definitely have an "edgy" feel most of the time.
Ok so here are the strumming patterns that work well with this song:
DDU UDU (island strum)
DDU
DUU DUD
DUDU D or DUUD U (for chorus ONLY)
or anybody else’s ideas will work too.
:3
Thanks for adding a pattern. I always want to remind people that there isn't one correct pattern, but a bunch of patterns that can work for people. What is most important is keeping a steady beat and changing chords at the same time. Special patterns are just icing on the cake!
i like D-DU
Whatever works!
try DDX down down chuck
Thanks for the strumming suggestion!
What are the strumming patterns
Whatever you want to use and what sounds good.
ukeplayalongs thank you so much
I recommend U DU (Mute)
strumming pattern?
love this btw
Thanks. As always, there is no "right" answer for strumming patterns. The intro works well with D DUDUDU, and the verses work well with DDDUDU.
i use DUT (Down Up Tap) but idk for the intro
Thanks for adding the suggestion!
i think its dduudu
I do Down tap in some parts, then down up down up tap
dd du for the most of it and then dd dc for the chorus 🙃
Thanks for adding a strumming pattern suggestion!
to play the original, put a capo on 2nd fret
But don’t play along with this recording! It has been transposed to match the chords. Or you can transpose all the chords up a Major 2nd and play the actual chords with the real recording.
Remember that these are made to be used in schools in ukulele-friendly keys, so that students can play music they love as quickly as possible.
@@ukeplayalongs are all of your playalongs transposed to not need a capo?
There is one or there are two that require a capo and indicate that; otherwise all the videos here and on similar play along channels show the chords of the audio; I will sometimes make multiple versions.
I use dU
Thanks for the suggestion!
Btw. Using a minor sounded good too!👍🏽
A minor. Oops
Hmmm. You should have been using A minor throughout the song. That's what Am (finger positions of 2000) means. Can you clarify for me?
ukeplayalongs sorry, I meant A. But I was tired when I wrote that. Lol
Okay! I opened up the video to see what was going on and was just confused
what strumming pattern do yall recommend for the intro
Try DD UDU
DDUT
