Aerobatic competition seems like a challenging and scary sport to get into however it is probably the only sport where you can actually do it with someone else, helping you out.
When getting started in Aerobatics, you will generally start with a safety pilot and so there is no need to worry about messing up because not only will you be fine, but there are so many pilots who will be willing to help you get better at the sport.

The Giles 202 is a different beast... it is a fully +/- 10G capable fully aerobatic airplane that's capable of unlimited aerobatic competition.
My Story:
Ever since I can remember I wanted to be a part of the “Red Bull Air Race” however that was unattainable.
The new World Championship Air Race is set to add a more F1 style setup whereby teams take on pilots to race for them and as such more talent can be pulled into the sport.
Adding to that - World Championship Air Race is also hosting academies where a keen pilot can be tested and taught in order to achieve the license for entry into the SP-1 class.
My goal is to continue competing in the New Zealand Aerobatic competitions. This would add to my experience for the upcoming academies in 2022 which I have already applied for.

My first and only Areobatic flight was in a Pitt Special in 1992. It was an awesome experience, I finally got to Fly like Dad used to in his Tiger Moth

You still need to try and Fly Dads old Tiger one Day. You need to come down to the Deep South lol
I loved flying our S-2C. My poor husband had to act as my safety pilot for insurance reasons - brave soul, lol.
