I replaced my starter motor 2yrs ago on my e46 m3, truth be told it sort of beat me in a way one bolt I couldn’t get any purchase on at all, had to draft in my my mate who’s handy with the spanner’s etc and he managed to get it undone. I was intrigued to watch you do it, I was thinking if he doesn’t mention the bolts and ease of access then I’m fuming 😆👏🏻✊🏻

Finally! The wait has been too long for E46 M3 content. I recently did an adaption with INPA, really cool stuff what you can do with a laptop, all by your own. No need for a BMW shop :) Did you check all the other values with INPA the Pump pressure, build up time, duration etc?
Indeed especially with the coding such as the airbag modules on the e92 M3 I did previously! great kits available for £30 👍 Yep all came back fine, really odd 🤷♂️
Still on standard transmission mounts, it’s a road car and to be honest the engine mounts on mine were not shot I just wanted an OEM+ upgrade without horrific cabin vibration 👍 My Clio runs Vibra-tec solid mounts and it’s pretty awful for road use 😅

Yea it’s fiddly job, those two bolts the first time round took ages to wind out with the corrosion and minimal access so you were not alone 😅

You can push-start smg, and it is like a manual car so it's not strictly true when you say it's game over when starter motor dies.

👍 I'd have an e46 m3 over the new one if offered either..... for free of course 😂.
The e46 is timeless.. although I do like the new M3 including the grills 🙈
