Arresting anyone for going 2mph over the speed limit protects NO ONE!
They want to make the guy sit in jail because it’s the Holiday with several days to hold him over an alleged speeding infraction where he was 2 miles above the limit. I hope he files a huge lawsuit for kidnapping and false imprisonment if they hold him over the holidays. They just couldn’t stand that he questioned them and so they immediately go to their favorite abuse of power-retaliation. Totally wrong and they must be held accountable for taking away his rights over a traffic citation.

When you sign for your drivers license, you are stating that you are going to produce it when a cop asks for it when driving. Driving is not a right, you have to show proof of a license to drive. They can stop him for the minor infraction and ask for the license. He was probably popped for not showing proof of a drivers license, not the 2 mph infraction.

Police hit my dad with a mag light in the 90s over a disagreement. And a fight ensued, my dad defending himself. Later they got a warrant, and broke our home, and pointed shotguns at my mom who was in a night gown. Lucky us kids were there crying behind her and they dropped their weapons. They nearly killed my mom and dad on the same night.

The problem as I see it is that if you don't comply with their order, they will elevate the use of force until you have complied or are dead. This is not hyperbole. Cops do not have the ability to decide if the juice is worth the squeeze. They cannot walk away from a jaywalker (that runs his mouth) because it's not worth the trouble. Don't believe me, then watch the video of the cop that pulls a passenger (not the driver) from a car that failed to use a turn signal and shove a taser up his butt in front of the victims family. This is no way to enforce traffic laws. Put up cameras and send citations in the mail.

In Ohio pulling someone over for 2 miles over has been declared unconstitutional because the majority of people do it. It leads to profiling and in this case they profiled someone for what they believe.

I have never really been a fan of this but after seeing this and a couple others I am now. Ridiculous how they act when someone dares to NOT bow down to them. The vindictiveness to arrest someone on Thanksgiving for 2 mph over. Really?! It’s as if everyone was beat up in school.
In general, I think auditing is necessary, though I feel a lot of these people are needlessly confrontational which causes more harm than good for the cause. But we're getting to a point where that is irrelevant. SOMETHING needs to change.

I would love to work as a cop watcher with all of you. I am inspired as an American every time i see my fellow Americans standing for us and ours. Some Americans employed as police are decent or even good, such as the ones who help save the kidnapped child, woman or man. But, the ones who abuse their position over other Americans have damaged my and many others view and relations with police.

There are lots of consequences for a cop being wrong -- the cop might be forced to take a multi-month (even multi-year) paid vacation for starters! And in severe cases, after their paid vacation they might have a strongly worded letter placed in their file -- the horrors!
