16388. What a noob! My mobile i7 from 2014 almost reaches 3000. POWA! On a more serious note, yep Beelink have a winner here. They just need to continue supporting this and have more Mini PCs in the future that are capable of connecting with this. If they do then this dock becomes a must IMO. Not only that, but since it will only work with their mini PCs, it's a good way to keep customers buying from them. Very good review, thank you for sharing.
I really hope they continue supporing this, but in any case I think the Docking station is a steal nonetheless... right now they have 3 Models that support it already. 16388 isn't bad of course, though the CPU isn't the fastest they could have used, but as we saw it's quite fast enough nevertheless. For now ;)
They should have flipped the GPU around because the Mini PC is taking in all that hot air from the GPU. Plus, that also gets rid of the size limit for GPUs so, you put the extra-chucky 4090 with this if you want.
Nice concept, but they really, really need to improve user accessibility to the hard drive and RAM slots for upgrades. Looks quite a tricky job with the current design.
Nice review. I just saw another person complain about window's 11 and having to reinstall it. Did you have any problems with windows or wifi problems? Thanks
awesome review. I just wish you tested games without DLSS or FG to see better how the actual hardware performs, not those technologies. The concept is fantastic. Makes me question why it's almost never done on laptops. I mean look at those 1% lows. Clearly mobile GPUs are more than capable of full desktop gaming experience. i9 12900h could handle 4k gaming with rtx 4090 with ease.
Hey Tabaluga, I actually used DLSS and FG for two reasons: 1. I personally use them myself, I like them 🙈 2. I wanted to push the CPU further with higher FPS to see if it becomes a bottleneck (which was not the case, and is good) 3. I also tested some games without it and the results where identical aswell, it doesn't skew the results in favor of the beelink using them.
@@Hubwood I see. A little correction to my comment, I meant mobile CPUs of course, because desktop 4090 isn't present in laptops. Well, FG works best when CPU is a bottleneck, so it's not a good test if you want to see whether CPU would be a bottleneck or not, quite the opposite. Since most people don't have RTX 4000 series GPUs and most games don't support it, I think it would be a better test to see results without those technologies. Either way, the video is awesome and proves that laptop CPUs are more than capable of high fps in games.

You actually just got my attention to mini pc's and the possibilities they can offer. You just got a sub my friend. Really good review!
Thanks mate :)
Perfect review, i was waiting like hell, great job thanks again !
You're welcome :)

Can't argue with that 😅
agreed. no idea why they didn't do that.
do you know which way the wind blows?
I like the dock. The real home 'computer' should be just a backbone, and you snap in whatever you want to use.

Yes absolutely... with some patience it's doable, but it's quite tricky... maybe I'll publish the full opening process...

Does the PC have a ReBAR option?

Yes you're absolutely right, I was refering to DLSS with pushing the FPS further. :) not FG. Sorry. Understood that you didn't like BOTH of them.
I want to use the Beelink EX dock with a PCIe Gen4 extender cable and my Minisforum MS-01. Can it work?
Uh no idea to be honest 😅
