Thanks for the videos. Great perspective on why you chose the school - can tell the fit was right for you and you are genuinely happy with your decision !!
Hey! Thank you for making these videos! I too got in through the REA process :) There are virtual events Notre Dame offers! They are available for both admitted and prospective students who have applied. I believe that there are a few recorded ones as well (not really sure). I hope someone finds this helpful:) !
Go FTT!!! This was an amazing video, Liz - I agree, the people make Notre Dame so special! Also, I’m very honored to be featured in the thumbnail haha 💓💓
You will love FTT, it's a great program! Regardless of if you know your concentration yet, taking the required courses right off the bat usually is a good plan. I am a film concentration but took Intro to Theatre freshmen year (a req for the theatre concentration), and it actually got me a part-time job in the costume shop and served as a pre-req for a lot of cool classes I discovered in later semesters! If you're thinking about the TV or Film concentrations, Basics of Film/TV is a great option for first semester freshmen, and all of the professors who teach it are really good. There is really a lot of flexibility in the department to tailor your schedules to be whatever you are interested in (mainly your concentration or a mix of all three). So excited to have you join our FTT family!!
@@elizabethmaroshick2561 Thank you so much! I was actually going to ask about Basics of Film/TV because there is a lab that corresponds with the class that conflicts with Marching Band during the fall. How should I go about that?
The band directors are really understanding of class conflicts with weekly rehearsals, you just have to fill out a form saying that you'll be missing rehearsals on a certain day for a lab. However, for Basics, the lab materials (at least my freshman year) were also available online, so you didn't actually have to go to the lab in person if you didn't want to/had a conflict. Of course, I realized this after I had been running out of band 15 minutes early every Monday all season, but it is an option lol!! Hope that helps!

Yay, FTT! Do you have any advice for a first-year student like me going into that major, specifically with classes?
