The irony that a JUNKION is the first non-tear-apart-to-transform weaponizer is not lost on me.
I love that he can transform normally even though he does come to bits
Apparently the plan is to make the Junkions so that limbs end up in roughly the same spots so they can swap parts around and still fully transform.
I like that while he is a weaponizer he still transforms like an average transformer, though I personally don't mind the partsforming though of the other weaponsizers
It is a nice touch. I too don't mind the parts-forming of the weaponizers, but the fact this guy does both is pretty awesome
I wonder how many Legacy Junkions we'll get and if they'll have an official combined form like the Fossilizers.

Well if i remember well we will get around 3 or 4
I noticed Scraphook has a port on the inner side of his shins which wouldn't be usable in vehicle mode, and wouldn't be practical in robot mode. That's probably gonna be for a combine mode.
@@AJLord The way his feet transform from the front of the vehicle mode and those long heel panels makes me think he might be able to form a combiner leg...
Oh man. This is easily a contender for the most interesting transformation of this series.
He is so much fun, plus the transformation without partsforming is really well done.

I love the alt-mode. Every time I see it, I think it's the Terrorcon who's going to be in Rise of the Beasts.

Yup. The mean-looking vehicles of two of the three Terrorcons in the movie sure are redolent of the Junkions. I lament that I can't find Studio Series easily anywhere... most of my Walmart and Target stores are just now getting Legacy Voyager figures.
@@companylovesmisery1463 I found Scourge and Battletrap online, but have yet to get them. I don’t have a Target, so I have to check my local Walmart, which as of now only has the Earthspark figures. But I did see Studio Series Airazor and the new Studio Series Bumblebee while I was there

I'd like to imagine every time he throws the box, he just leaves it there, and now he just has a large pile of boxes for every figure Emgo has ever reviewed.

The headsculpt looks like it could be repurposed for rodimus unicronus just paint the facial hair black then use kingdom rodimus as the base body painted black and purple

The vehicle mode looks like something reminiscent of Mad Max.
You don't mess with Scraphook or he will scrap you with his hook.
Very cool! I like the different covers/armor for the headlights and the eyepatch for his robot head, makes it look like a true Junkion that nothing is quite symmetrical and he's basically a walking collection of robot parts!
although the scale with Wreck-Gar and Junkheap kinda makes sense if you consider they're Junkions, not designed to be scaled to human proportions, so it makes sense that Scraphook would be small enough to ride wither bike-bot in their alt-mode. 🙂
I like your review of this guy. I'm glad I have him on preorder. 3 junkions is perfectly fine with me. To edit this: um, the parts forming...shhhhh....is going to be used on other Junkions only ha ha.

This guy is awesome. I can't wait to get him. Great review! I wish Hasbro would make some vignettes in G1 style animation that center on Cooter here, tarn, fossilizers, etc. just to introduce them into the line. I'd watch 'em.

Wait... when did Junkions become Autobots? I understand Wreck-gar in 1986 had the insignia because there were only 2 back then. If I recall, the new one and Junkheap don't have insignias.
The thing about the Junkion transformers is that all there parts are snap on and off like in the G1 transformers movie and series.
I done remember this guy but he is awesome in that 80’s Road Warrior/Junkion way. Must have! 🤓😎
Honestly, the weaponizer mode is pure "lets put this here" in the worst way usually, but it fits a junkeon so well.
Works better as shoulder pads than 90% of the other weaponizers.
Scrapbook looks good
Giant sized bikes is the only reason the scale on the Junkions doesn't bother me like it does on other bike figures.
Sold me on it, getting him with Crashbar right away. The colors would go great weaponizered on Bludgeon when that toy comes out.
Because of that phil swift reference, you get a seal of approval from me and I will be getting scraphook at some point because he looks really cool.

Based on the thumbnail, I thought he would transform into a crane.
He looks awesome. Originally I had an issue with the scale, but he actually works just fine with the rest of the car bots, it just Wreckgar and Junkheap that are HUGE. Kinda strange they made them so big compared to everyone else.

He DOES look like a tow truck from Mad Max! And I think all Junkions should be remade into Weaponizers, whivh'd fit their repertoir.

I ordered this guy on a whim but it's looking like this might be one of my better "new transformer" purchases lol
Got this guy plus battletrap and bumblebee from rise of the beasts on pre-order.
The fact that he's a Weaponizer that has a normal transformation sequence is impressive all on it's own but that's just the beginning with this guy. Original character made for this line? Oodles of custom painting potential (seriously he's basically a blank canvas and I want to paint him)? Absurd amounts of playability with other figures? Awesome Mad Max looking truck alt mode who ALSO becomes Mad Max armor for other figures? Damn, I went from "eh" to "OOOH!" super fast on this guy, he looks like he's got tons of customization options (display-wise and custom paint/weathering wise). Suddenly he's a Must Have.

I just used scraphooks pieces on bulkhead and they don't look to bad I used the arm pieces on bulkheads calves and I used scrapbooks feet to give bulkhead leg extensions and even though it adds more backpack I was able to put scraphooks torso attached to bulks shield/backpack
His alt looks like a lot of the new villain in ROTB
Since they showed this figure off I've had the feeling he's what will be used as a Generations Lockdown. He's literally perfect for a fresh take on the character IMO, maybe just give him a way to replace the hook with his hand by making the right one attach with a 5MM peg.

Really missed an opportunity by not having any kind of fold-out peg somewhere on the torso chunk. It's not like there isn't space to fit one SOMEWHERE.

Noticed multiple cut points during the transformation. Hope that's not becoming a thing. You usually do the transformation in one take, and I always appreciated that cos it's easier to follow. Heavily edited transformations screws my brain up.
It’s becoming a thing. Trying to streamline things a bit more and not have to make you all watch me readjust the camera a hundred times lol.

I love the weaponizers honestly, I'm totally in agreeance that they add tons of playability and customization,but for me their biggest and only flaw is that on a lot of them not EVERY section is usable. For this one it's the mid section, for (I think the name was this) skullbash it was his torso, some of the other fossilizers had parts that couldn't be used. Or there was the issue with a few in my opinion that just felt they kinda slapped the pieces on another figure and called it a day. Again don't get me wrong, this whole line of gimmicks is awesome and unique, better than any we've had honestly. I just wish there was more to it I guess...I don't really know or anything but maybe if there were a line of them that could combine with each other to become an all new transformer, kinda like those "unofficial" fossilizers combinations everyone posted for a while, but like an actual one to that concept yknow.
Also, one of my buddies and me were going back and talking about some of the figures we really liked from some of the installments of lineups, and we both agreed that there should be a rodimus prime figure that gets a sort of "upgrade" to work like the ultra magnus and Optimus prime figures from seige. The whole having the base figure that gets a bunch of armor pieces to attach to it from a trailer section. We know there wad that one weird figure I think from the early days of kingdoms or "maybe" war for cyberteon, but we both felt that figure had tons of issues to say that the idea was properly executed. I remember only a few iterations of toys and comics that made rodimus prime a truck instead of a car, but I think a truck hot rod that could fuse with its trailer to be rodimus prime would be amazing

I got 2 & the elbows on both are a sin. Added to very tight bicep swivels, its a pain to move them at all. 100% disconnection. Love the design & alt mode but pins were overlooked & they are necessary.
Seems like all the reviewers are oddly sleeping on the new Jinbao Devastator upgrade kit. Odd as it is a great alternative to TW Constructor; both more robust and less than a third the price.
