Who the heck wouldn't like this?! Even if you don't go for this genre, the musicians are phenomenal.
I love the way Wayne pulled the starch out of the mandolin on this! :)
When you work on the railroad this song just hits way different!
Russell Moore has the most powerful voice in bluegrass. That's how any experienced vocalist would describe it.
Good solid bluegrass. The right way it should be played. I like this band, makes me feel good.
I just started my new job at the railroad so I had to listen to this again lol
Always loved that band an their musical style keep on picking guys.
Quite possibly one of the best songs ever written. My personal request at every jam session ever. Side note: I love the sound on this video. You can really hear the nuances of the vocals/instruments.
Correction: one of the cheesiest songs ever written that was done with class by the Bluegrass Album Band, which made it great
@@matthewskipper2732 why is it cheesy?? Wtf?
NO. BODY. sings like him!!
Damn these boys can play! Brings a tear to my eye.
earl blankenship they visited my grandfather on his birthday to play, it was expensive
Straight up good... rock solid bluegrass... nothin' added for flash.
Great stuff fellas!
These boys have always been tough. I played a show with Russell in Canada in the mid 1980's and he was tough then. I'm going to get this CD today.
always enjoy listening to you guys
Fantastic band..!!
Unless these guys just started, why aren't they a lot bigger? Big talent here.
They’ve been around 25yrs I’d say
You need to check the facts. Multi award winning 20 year old group. IBMA Male vocalist of the year for I believe 5 yrs. 7 year entertainiers of the year. One of the top vocalists in the business.
Really great .... thanks!
Y'all are awesome!!
Super bluegrass band :-)
Big Bill Johnson is my name!
Exactly what I was looking for 😀
I love to hear them sing Bluegrass Gospel.
just wonderful :)
Solid banjo playing. Best banjo version I've heard. Wish I had the banjo tab for this one!
Eli Gilbert has a pretty great one on RUclips explaining how JD Crowe play's it.. check it out!
No one plays it as good as JD sorry
@@MrMattroc01 couldn’t have said it better! CROWE is GOD!
He’s playing simple notes when you watch the video. What makes it sound so great is his playing with that rock solid right hand he has.
@@clawhammer704 Along with the specific roll patterns he's using.
Awesome!
Excellently done I have seen this group in Cayce , Southern Carolina !
I love their music lol it puts Mumford and crap in their place
Yup
I know this is an old post, but I'm just curious why you compared this band to one that wasn't even from the same genre? Doesn't make much sense, like comparing Bach and AC/DC, it's not comparable.
Joshua Caleb Americana is basically untalented bluegrass, that's why
Ok then,so it should be easy for you to go write and play songs of Mumford and Sons quality and post them here on youtube. Go on, I'll wait.
Joshua Caleb me? I'm a banjo player, and a good one at that, but it'd be difficult for me to post a video, cause I don't know how to work youtube and I don't have recording equipment. but I'll try my best.
How could you possibly get 3 thumbs down on this video????? I loved it.
i agree

To the idiots who thumbs down Russell has worked his ass off a LONG time in this business. He has forgotten more than you will ever know.
Just enjoy the music.
Great job on an old time standard.

Note for note from JD Crowe, Doyle & Tony R Bluegrass Album Band
Russell has a great voice in this tune, but you want to hear a voice? Just check out an earlier tune on here called Blue Yodel #3.....DAMN! What a VOICE!!!

Good bass player Edgar Loudermilk
Hey everyone brand new to banjo here. Practicing my rolls in order to get up to this style of smooth rolling but I can’t seem to find any kind of tutorial or lesson to playing like this man. If anyone has anything to help me out I’d greatly appreciate it!
paráda

Do you sell anymore, sweaters. Maybe in another three months I'll stop by there. K... later
Tain't bad, Magoo.
Can anybody tell me please if there's a band in this restaurant i really want to know please tell. I never been there before so please tell me.
No the restaurant(s) are generic, pre cooked chain garbage!!
But they have a cool little store in the front!!!
Big Sparks Hairdo

Soyons heureux entre homme mais avec une arme à feu usa et après l'église pour le gode.
I'm friends their friends Nathan arrnett
Play big iron
A lot of this, solos included, is note for note from the Bluegrass Album Band album.. which is cool, but also disappointing/lazy to hear a solo played nearly note for note from a popular album, especially in a genre like this that affords room for improvisation.
Wynn Benson is the best
no 5 chord on the chorus boys shit
Great music but the blue jean and gothic button up shirts w dress shoes ruined it for me. They look like they just got back from a local acdc cover band show at the town bar. They should wear suits…. All bluegrass bands should wear suits hahaha
