Kampf has been decent value imo . Always raises his game in the playoffs . Can play on the penalty kill. I’d keep him
the slow footed, slow thinking, slow reacting Bertuzzi was no loss.

I love Bobby Mac and I think he had a great breakout last season, but I would like to see somebody on the line with Nelander who can battle in front of the net. I know Tavares is decent at that, but I would like to see someone like vintage JVR on that line, just because of how creative of a player Nelander is and his ability to get zone entry and get the puck to the net for those who don’t remember JVR was in front of the net.
I see Tavares swapping with Domi at 2/3 Centre. Agree as well, too many holes in Forward Lineup. D looks good, G looks good as long as they stay healthy. I know for SURE the back-end has strengthened WAY more than last year, so that should help a lot.
The Atlantic is a tough division. Who got better who got worse? We have enough to be top 3 at least in the div up to the trade deadline. Let the youngsters compete for it up to the trade deadline then hopefully all you need to add are experienced rental fwds w playoff pedigree.
That liljegren deal is really bad. By this point in his career we know what he is. We know his potential. We also have lots of players now that can fill that spot. My team looks different than what they have right now. I can see Tre making 3 or 4 more moves before the season starts.

I think everyone is going to be surprised at what Easton Cowan will be able to do. All he's ever done is succeed and he's so hungry, that will be the difference and why he'll make the team

Forget waivers. We need to move fringe players and get something in return, albeit a 6th rounder for example. Let's hope the new director of scouting has a few more picks to work with
Good coaching can fix a lot up front. Try Robertson with Marner and he could snipe in 30 (And let Marner earn his contract by creating stars, no more free cookies with Matthews). Knies looked good and more mature on the third line as a play driver. Marner at Centre could also make us very deep up the middle with Tavares as 3C and domi with Matthews.
Marner isn't a centre......we tried willy there too and that didn't work.......they're wingers not Centre's lol
Marner earn a new contract?? Can't wait till he and JT walk. That's 20 million or so to spend alot wiser.
Next year they're salary cap will have massive space for some solid 2nd & 3rd line forwards. I highly doubt Marner & Tavares will be on the team after this year.
A couple of questions : Why are the hosts citing the daily face off for any basis of accurate information?
Why do people keep saying MLSE is only interested in money and not winning. That’s counterintuitive. Don’t you think the further into the playoffs they go, the more home games they get, hence the escalating ticket prices each round will bring in a boatload?

It'll be interesting to watch Cowan. He had a D+1 year that is comparable, tho not as impressive, as Marner's D+1 year way back when.
I'd be surprised if he doesn't make the team and get, at the very least, his 9 game audition. Hoping for more than that, tho.
It would be awesome, I don’t think Cowan has much left to prove in the CHL. Too bad he couldn’t split his time in the AHL and NHL. He needs to play second line if he’s makes the NHL, start on left and switch with Domi at 3C at times so he keeps up playing centre as well

The percentage of the Leafs not making the playoffs is the highest in years , everyone is expecting they will make the playoffs however the chemistry with new coach might not be as good as everyone expected in the regular season

MARNER ISNT A CENTRE lmfao Jesus christ. Marner had some of his worst Stats while playing Centre in the OHL....he's a winger always has been and always will be. Nylander was Supposed to be a centre....he was a centre a majority of his career, Plated centre with the Marlies and We tried that and guess what...IT DIDNT WORK. So naturally Let's try Marner there, a guy who's Clearly not built to be an NHL centreman, the guy is softer than baby shit and you want him going to the front of the net? Lmfao. Marner at centre would fail harder than Nylander at centre and Nylander was Predominantly a centre before he was an NHLer....marner was far better as a winger in Junior. Trying marner at centre is stupid. It's not going to work just like willy didn't
