Last time I was able to afford a leaf’s game was back in 85 in Maple Leaf Gardens. Btw at least I saw the last Stanley Cup in 67 Tho I was 9 yrs old I celebrated in Black n White lol

Hey guys, great Channel and amazing episode as always. Rosie, what about this perspective? I think the Leafs know that they have f***** up over the last 4 or 5 years. Perhaps they thought that an over-the-top intro for the home opener was inappropriate, since they haven't delivered. Not sure that was ever spoken in the dressing room or if it was ever a thought, but it could be the case.
I'm not sure I would like to see the team that f***** up royally last year, the year before, the year before that, the year before that and the year before that be all hypey and showy in their home opener.
It doesn't matter, because no matter what they did, somebody would s*** all over them.
Also, I don't think we would care at all, had they won that game.
It's all about winning. End of story.
Super simple.. I grew up going to games at the Bell Center.. Toronto needs an entirely new building! The upper bowl is cut in half by box seats. It cuts the crowd in half. Stopping the wave, and making the crowd quiet. The upper bowl is supposed to be the rowdy section. The loud section. In Toronto, it's silent! Too much focus on the lower bowl. It has nothing to do with it. The building is garbage! Build a new arena!
Not to mention, Scotia Bank is built in the banking sector. Totally the wrong type of fans. They should rebuilding the arena closer to the 401.
Ban business suits and cell phones from games.
Its like leafs fans aren't proud to call themselves leaf fans anymore because of how embarrassing its been latly. Everyone is too used to the disappointment so it feels like nervous energy not excitement.
Lower ticket prices
Have a hype man. Don't get me wrong, Rossy is a great PA guy but have someone on hand to get the crowd pumpin

Have players who look like they give a damn

Exactly! I watched a few of the Blue Jays games this season, but not many. I was so pissed off from last year and the fact that everybody at head office seems to be the same. Atkins, Shapiro and all of the rest of them have to go. We've had MLB garbage for the last 10 years, and I think we are better than that.
What's more, we have the same problem with the Leafs. When the f*** are we going to get rid of Brendan Shanahan and do something other than run back the core four unsuccessfully, again, and again, and again...

@@ryanc9888 you gotta be kidding . Maybe trying for Ohtani could count but Gausman has been hot and cold and both Springer and Varsho are below average offensively. It’s not a balanced “team”, even if you sign one superstar.

Maybe somebody could show them how to not choke in the playoffs. That would enhance the experience
For starters, win a couple rounds in the post season. Otherwise, they need to hit more and protect each other when other players take liberties. Fans like a physical game and players who care. Sorry to say, that ain’t Mitch and Willie.
