This is awesome I love these learning videos beast style is 100% responsible for my kills last year. Had I been passive I would have never got that 10 pt
A new stand has been developed and is now patent pending which will revolutionize how guys hunt CRP. Im a CRP hunter and honesty, nothing beats the new stand. Im able to hunt in places others can't where deer feel safe. This changes the game. Good luck everyone!
Another great video guys. You know what really sucks right now.I bought myself a saddle set up and sticks for this year.Well I am 63 years old now and have developed arthritis in my wrist, elbow and shoulders and also purchased a new Elite bow.I am working on trying to use all this.
We all knew The Beast Stand was going to be the ticket with stands. I had reservations but a friend and I got one each and I’m very happy. This thing is put together right and lighter than I thought, if that makes sense...It looks heavy but it’s so light. Now that I got it, it is great quality and I’m planning on it lasting forever. I have two young boys, it can only get handed down to one of them 😔 I am going to have to get another just for that reason and I have a daughter that likes to hunt with me too, lol! I’ve used it with a saddle too, lol! Let me just say that’s it’s so much easier to turn around in a full size stand and do it quietly, than it is on a saddle stand. And sometimes you really do need to sit or stand with your back against the tree to blend in a lot better. I feel like while saddle hunting you have to have a lot of cover which produces less shooting lanes. A full(er) size stand answers that so it has to be strong and super light IMO.
Great video Josh! I have a field with a spot exactly like you walked us through. Every time I pass it I think I ought go in there, but haven't. I really gotta go walk it after seeing this. Good hunting next season!
Hey everyone, I have to apologize for the audio discrepancy from the commercial to the educational portion. This is 100% my fault and it won't happen again on my videos. I bought a new set of nice headphones and was using them while editing this video and it was super loud on my end so I turned it down. There isn't much I can do at this point other than learning and move on. I hope you can hear it well enough to get something out of it and it's not too big of an inconvenience to watch.
Thanks Josh for your insight, one thing though, Dan usually lines up his stand to reduce skylighting, big deer are smart and your analysis of the area is excellent, wouldn't want you to get busted by a biggy because he picked out your sillouette. Thanks again, from a big beast fan.
I completely understand that and do the same practice. If you look in the tree there is a huge limb sticking out on that side of the tree. This tree will have plenty of cover come October and with deer coming from the left side I won't have to stand.
I see the Stand & Sticks are Sold out . I hope some are available for next years Michigan's Bow Season 2023 . I am very impressed with every aspect of The Hunting Beast. Thank you ALL very Much (Y)
I live in Southern Indiana I have an 80 acre field of CRP (rolling hill) on my farm it sits in the middle of my property and its also the highest point on my farm it has been in CRP for 16 years. I haven't mowed it for 10 years and it has 20 to 25 6' pine trees growing up in different area's. Here's a few things I can tell you about my field. #1 any path that I make with my tractor the deer will use to move in it. All animals use it, including me. #2 any tree that makes shade will have a deer bed under it, it might not be used today but there will eventually be a deer under it. My CRP gets 5' to 6' foot tall by August. #3 80% of the bucks on my 640 acres use the CRP field, most just inside the edge along the hard woods. ( less than 100 yards in) I have 4 places that some kind of bamboo has sprouted up and they fill about 20, 30 feet squares, all 4 have buck rubs inside and beds. Because it's hilly its hard to hunt, but I make trails and ambush them coming and going. I love CRP, everything on my farm uses it. It's getting chopped up and mowed next year to improve the habitat for quail rabbit's and turkeys. But it will always be a grass field as long as I'm here. I haven't hunted it for 5 years and I've seen some boomers this summer.
very nice video! Have you ever hunted CRP in very step hilly terrain? if so where do you find bucks would be in that? Seems like they like the tops so they can look down with wind favoring them
Hey Tanner yeah over the years we've killed a few in that CRP field. It depends on the year and bucks in the area how hard I hunt it. I missed a nice one there on the ground this season.
@@beforetheecho gotcha jus curious about it I have had some good encounters in the cro grass but never found that it’s a primary spot for them to bed thanks josh
@@justintanner7020 I have found one spot that has a half moon shape elevation of about 7 or 8 feet in the middle of a dip in a crp field. I ended up finding out that bucks were pushing does up against it during rut and bucks were bedding there at the time. Seems to happen every year and it’s an overlooked spot. It’s still hard to not spook them and I ended up taking two smaller 8 points out of that spot over the years but the big boys are always there too! A couple 10’s and 12’s and big Michigan 8 points! It’s a good spot during rut but almost impossible to not get winded when they come in or spook them if they are already there. I don’t go to that spot much. I’m afraid of ruining it and it’s one of those spots that they have every advantage with sight and sound and wind and thermals and no trees. It’s super frustrating but those two smaller 8’s felt like a huge accomplishment.

Does it get any better than watching Dan to some stringed instruments??!! Love it!

Starting to gain trust in you!!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge I’ve been saving a whole year for a beast setup
Awesome intro
Love these off-season videos Josh.
Great intro fellas!

We release more a lot... They sell out fast. Best thing to do is sign up for the email list on the sight so you get notifications.
These guys are the real deal!
Everyone on here complaining about the volume. Im almost completely deaf . the captions work great
Dan is da man! Great commercial intro and good stuff from Josh... just turn up the sound
Great video, I’m telling you in Michigan I’d get picked off immediately in that first tree. Maybe not early season but after leaf drop 100%

It’s a shame the audio is horrible the video started so good
Sound is off, not very loud. Had to turn up volume to over 50 in order to half way here what Josh was saying.
Enjoyed the vid Josh but I had to put the volume on 95 to hear you...
When the bucks are bedding in a lower depression like that I figure they are using movement against the skyline for a good visual advantage
very nice video! Have you ever hunted CRP in very step hilly terrain? if so where do you find bucks would be in that? Seems like they like the tops so they can look down with wind favoring them
Leeward side hills
Josh are you hunting that 1st spot in the morning? Also are these spots not really rut spots?
What kind of man shares all of his hard earned secrets about hunting?? A giant among men a real Gentleman!!!!! Dan Infalt n all his friends that’s who
Can't hear you buddy
Josh have you killed a giant from that spot??any spot you showed

The sound is to low to even hear.
Dont understand what this video has to do with CRP fields..seems to be more about "fingers" in any kind of field.
According to the hunting public if you ain’t using a saddle you ain’t doing it right
That into is bad to the bone... go beast gear.
