- Since Cold Steel was purchased by GSM some of the former people have started new companies like Ric Valdez, who formed the new company Ocaso Knives. In this video I check out some of the first models the Strategy from master knife maker Mike Wallace, and the Solstice from Tri-ad and Espada XL designer Andrew Demko. While Cold Steel is known for their massive murder weapons Ocaso knives focused on every day carry and Gentleman's knives.

For the hair I'd recommend looking into oils. I use a mix of rosemary and peppermint oil. I put it in a little spray bottle and spray it onto my scalp every morning and night. My hair is a lot fuller now after 3 months.
One issue with the oils is that they can cause rashes if you have sensitive skin.
14C28N would have been a better choice than K110 in my view. The Solstice is slicker and less bland, especially in the red Dark Matter cf. Thanks for the info on the new stuff.

I miss the old' phosphor bronze washers. They seemed smoother and had less things to go wrong with them.

Lifting the clip with the fingernail is me on a few knives , haha. Some clips are really nice but the fingernail ones hold best for shorts like the bugout . Sometimes too good and I pull out a rabbit ear with the knife hanging 😂.
The solstice kind of looks a high tech switchblade, like a cold steel for cyberpunk 2077.

My guess on how a guy goes from carrying EspadaXL to carrying a smaller knife(which is every other blade on the planet) is that while seated, he dropped his EspadaXL between his legs&chopped off his manhood. So someone new joined the other day… and for several years I’ve just been adding names- and rarely removing them. But I decided to just list the ones that are currently active and clean it up. For several years I usually average 95 ish… and this is that. I’ll probably let it coast again for a while but it’s been something I’ve been meaning to do for a while. You mentioned the Cold Steel philosophy when discussing the pocket clips. I don't think you are allowed to mention the Cold Steel Philosophy on any knife with a blade less then 5.5 inches in length, you may want to consult your lawyer.

Finally one of these new companies doesn't make their knives in China! Taiwanese production quality is consistently much better. Plus you get to support a free people rather than a slave state. Although I guess just like Demko it's only CS offshoots that are able to find connections in Taiwan...

Okay, the following has nothing to do with this video, but I need to get it off my chest!
I don't like half stops very much!
Just recently I cut into the side of my index finger because I closed the knife with my thumb (small slipjoint Barlow) and it just WHACKED into the half stop and right into the side of my index finger!
Very unsafe!
But besides that the snappy go choppy is fun to play with, it's just not very save though.
I rather have that regular slipjoint that just snaps into the handle and not into a half stop. Lucky me it was not a deep cut though.
