This video made my Friday, your videos inspired me to go to Argentina last year and i went for 6 weeks early this year and looking forward to go back soon. Looking forward to this series very much! 👍🏻
Great video! You helped us out with your previous Argentina videos when we were there they were great for tips! thank you! I'm now watching this in Colombia! We hope to get back to Argentina next year
I recently spent over a year in Argentina, and your videos were the best and most insightful I found along the way. Glad there will be a second installation!
Thank you, it is Diesel. I did actually do that before I started the engine, I just didn't show. The very first time I forgot, but then I did exactly what you mentioned. It took a few tries to get going.
You HAVE to travel to Misiones Province! The roads there are beautiful and in great shape, and it's full of hidden gems only accessible if you have a car! The Ibera Wetlands in Corrientes the La Estrella Wetlands in Formosa are also a must if you want to discover Argentina's more tropical side.
Great to see you back Nicki! Thanks for letting us all tag along on your new adventure. I was surprised to learn about the headlight law in Argentina, I thought it was only Paraguay who enforced that.. Your coolant level shouldn't be dropping, it means there is a leak somewhere if you need to constantly top it up. If your oil goes milky coloured it means you have a blown head gasket and the coolant is mixing with your oil (not good). Otherwise you will have a leak from your radiator or radiator hoses (easy). Look for drips on the ground after you park.
All old VW vans are dirty, that's how they roll. It's fun though, learning about your new house on wheels and what it will do (or not). Best part of the VW is you can just pull over and cook something to eat or take a nap or use the toilet. Looking forward to seeing your adventures and where they take you.
You're back!! I have to thank you when you helped me on how to get money from my US account to Argentina...the only thing you can not deposit straight to my bank account in Argentina...if you are going to Patagonia, visit "La Payunia" in southern Mendoza,is another wordly landscape...also northern Neuquen province, "Piedra Parada" in Chubut province...The log cabin of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in Cholila, also in Chubut province...good luck hope you make it to Ushuaia ...listen try not to go fast when you enter towns...the bastards here have speed traps and you'll get tickets...
I used your tips to stay in Argentina for three months. Thank you. Like you, I cannot wait to return. Anyway, despite what you said about Salta capital, I loved it for a variety of reasons. In addition, I loved little visited Rosario. It seems the safety issues are far better than a year ago. San Salvador de Jujuy might be one place that you were really wrong about, it’s in dire need of something. Anyway, Buenos Aires was never disappointing despite dog mess.
The first time I went to Salta it winter and very grey. I recently went back and it was so beautiful in the summer. I love the Jujuy province but I don't like the capital city, there's not much there. I guess you really enjoyed it? I never made a video about San Salvador do Jujuy though. I don't remember saying anything about it online, but I guess I must have.
@@NickiPostsTravelStuff You said San Salvador was good for the Western Union. I'm not even sure if that's true. It's a place that you will not find inspirational. I'll keep it polite and say that the friendly folks that are so common in Argentina have abandoned the city. Maybe something has happened there since the recession began. Anyway,--please keep up your work on youtube.
13:18 doesn't look like you're gonna drink and drive but please be aware that in some provinces the alcohol test shouldn't give you more than 0%, otherwise you can't drive. You should check what is the maximum per province.
You shouldn´t have been fined in my country, since you are a foreigner and you didn´t know about the lights. They don´t mind. I´m Argentine and it happened to me, bc I forgot to use my low beams during a sunny day 😠
Thank you! I was also surprised they gave me a ticket even though I'm a foreigner. After I paid it, my friends told me I didn't need to because I'm a foreigner! hahaha

Nicki, if it´s diesel engine you should pre-warm. Just half key twist for 3 seconds then start.

Very interesting !! Although ,I don't think I can live in a van ! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🇦🇷💕💞
hahahah it's not for everyone! :)
No debería consumir refrigerante. Hacelo revisar. Debe haber alguna pérdida. Generalmente es alguna manguera vieja.

So interested on how you went about buying a van in Argentina!

Thanks for the warning, but that is definitely not in my plans! :)
