Back in the 80's I was 11, she teamed with Scott Casey to take on Adrian Street & Miss Linda for Southwest Championship Wrestling, I had gotten Casey;s autograph, My Cousin and I were waiting for our ride to go home, and some rugged looking Bikers were drinking outside, we were young and were kinda scared, then Divine comes out, saw past the Bikers, she noticed my face seeing her, she walked right past the Bikers and came to say hi to us, signed my pic, and gave us a hug, she was a Bad ass, Rest in peace

I saw a LPWA match on RUclips between Madusa and The Goddess. The Goddess was Candi Devine under a mask.

I remember when I first saw her she got torn apart by Sherri Martel and lost the AWA’s women’s championship. May she rest in paradise.

Glad Jim mentioned Debbie Combs. We used to get the ICW show and the few women's matches I recall pretty much all involved Debbie (who was dating Randy Savage) and Leilani Kai, either in singles or mixed tags.. Candi was great, in the AWA, against Sherri Martel, which is mostly where I saw her.
Not to nitpick under such tragic circumstances, but her name was CANDI and not Candy.

She worked at the gym in Green Hills in Nashville when I was in USWA. She had a little sister, Rose Devine who was learning to work. Rose was alot of fun . I had always heard that the PY Chew Hi gimmick was a rib on a certain body part of Candies.
Hahaha, so there's an episode of WCW Nitro where they have a random women's match with a Japanese girl vs Debbie Combs, Debbie came out looking like she was in her late 50s when really she was in her early 30s, and the match looked liked it was put together using a time machine, check it out, it's in March of 97 hahaha

Terri Power would later go on to be Tori in the WWF/E.
Then Tori's time in WWE (Terri Poch) would be forgotten by most fans after Torrie Ann Wilson joined WWE from WCW even though Terri Power is a way better wrestler than Wilson.

In Continental in the Eighties Candi was brought in a couple of times to counter Miss Linda in the Adrian Street/Norvell Austin feud. In mixed tag matches she sold vicious beatings at the hands of Street, doing stretcher jobs after taking piledrivers
Had to Google Linda Dallas. Yeah, she does look cute, but yeah, could see how her big chest could make things more difficult in the ring.
Linda Dallas and Kat Leroux were ahead of their time.

I liked Linda Dallas, but NWA never put their women’s title on her. Terry Power was overrated!

As another one of my child icons passed on to wrestling beach drinking with randy savage I opened a beer for me and gave her my final salute and dumped it on the ground and drank mine in one go.

I don't remember Jim or Brian ever mentioning the death of Shannon Spruill (Daffney from WCW). Her suicide was very tragic. It's possible I missed them talking about it. I hope that's the case. RIP Candy and Daffney.

I heard she had a great match with Marty Jannetty in the mile high wrestling Club at 30,000 ft. They took a great bump out through the door to the floor in front of a live audience! Now that's a dedicated worker. God bless you Miss Candi 👍💗
