Patrick H trust me, there is a huuuuge difference between the two. Dry heat has it where parking in the shade actually does cool off your vehicle. Doing that in humidity almost makes zero difference at least that you yourself can feel.

@@trillyungwavy-gamingchanne6608 Turning off ac saves gas if you are doing it to avoid having to avoid opening a window. When traveling on the highway, having your window open creates aerodynamic drag and consumes more fuel than turning on the ac while the windows are closed. Number 7 is incorrect. It is more energy efficient to drive with the air conditioner on at speeds over 35 mph than to drive with the windows open. At that speed, the additional wind resistance puts a higher burden on the engine than the condenser.
Mythbusters agreed with what he said as far as i can tell. Driving down the freeway in a parachute is less efficient than making the engine turn a compressor.
depends on the vehicle, bigger vehicles can cause a lot of drag, but with my small four cylinder Aveo, you have to be driving about 70 before the air conditioner is more efficient

Here are 5 facts about this video: 1) Stretching something out just for the sake of it, without any worthy materials is a very poor editing choice. This video could have easily been under 5 minutes. 2) The tips mentioned here don't deserve to be called hacks. Please check the definition of that word. Giving useless, common sense tips, which every driver already knows doesn't qualify to be called 'hacks'. 3) Turning off the AC doesn't save 15% of fuel, but far less than that in modern day cars. Moreover, cooling a car isn't a luxury, but a necessity. A hot car will most certainly have a tired and fatigued driver, which is a big safety issue. Hence we either drive with the windows down, or with the AC turned on. Either ways we'll burn a little extra fuel. 4) Unless you're driving on standing water, with a depth of more than 2 or 3 mm, the drag caused by the fluid displacement will result in a very negligible amount of extra fuel burn. Drag caused by normal rainfall, is therefore negligible in terms of affecting fuel efficiency, as most public roads disperse the rainwater fairly well. Moreover, unless we are going on a joy ride, we can't really choose the time we drive out, can we? 5) Don't make a video just for the sake of it.
Actually, driving in town with the air conditioning on does use more gas. But driving at highway speeds with the air off and windows open causes the air coming into your car to be trapped by the rear window and the engine has to work harder. Driving at highway speeds with windows closed and air on makes the car more aerodynamic and helps it to use a little less gas. In my car driving at highway speeds with the air on only makes a difference of 1 mile per gallon. Not a big deal breaker.
Ryan Andrus you could also survive a week with no A/c...but would you really want to deal with that? I didnt say anything about surviving, I just was making a point.
JL69 _ Then you have to have it on there's no way of saving the fuel. I'm lucky in that I'm Irish. Outside of summer there's very little use for cooling. More likely to use it to warm the car up!
number 7 IS INCORRECT. it is more energy efficient to drive with the air conditioner on at speeds over 35 mph than to drive with the windows open. At that speed, the additional wind resistance puts a higher burdan on the engine than the condenser.
I think the video was saying to drive just without the AC. I don’t think it said anything about driving with windows down. The only thing he said with the windows down was to park your car in the shade with the windows open a bit, to let out the hot air. But you are correct though☺️
Actually, driving 70 mph in a 50 mph zone IS the cause of most accidents. Trucks and other drive at or below the speed limit without accidents. Otherwise, prove your point with data. Thanks.
@@Rhaman68 Speed is NOT the cause of most accidents. Speed is falsely attributed to many accidents when other factors such as distraction, fatigue, poor road design are responsible. Also, "speed" is blamed for the accident in many instances when the vehicle was not even breaking the limit at the time. As for 50 in a 70 causing accidents, it happens many times when the difference in speed between vehicles causes bunching of vehicles or sudden braking.
One most efficient trick in smooth traffic is keeping double the breaking distance, so that u can stop acceleration and control your speed with out breaking. (Less breaking more fuel efficient)
Number 1 tip is especially useful for drivers of manual vehicles. Using engine braking to slow down gradually for traffic lights does not use any fuel (ECU cut off), and will also save on brake pads.
I do most all these and a few more and have been using tricks like these for years to save gas and brakes.they do work or i wouldnt do them and will always do them 90% of the time. Some people think it's crazy or don't care know days just look around you on the highway and you can tell but doing these things do help save gas and brakes, specially with a standard transmission.like for example my '15 honda civic ex manual coupe, 2,805lbs,1.8L-16v sohc,13.2 gal gas tank,4.30 gear mpg is 28 city/36 highway, when I've drove it on 87 or 93 octane, the most I've pulled out of it is 41.0 mpg city,47.0 mpg highway.according to where I'm driving and that's East Tennessee and yes I could prove by recording it when I drive.brakes,I barely use them at all cause I start slowing down for stop signs and red lights way before by just letting off the gas and shifting down and same with cars in front of me ,you have to anticipate what people are going to do or what is going to happen it's really not hard and helps save brakes, gas and accidents.
Sounds like you know what you're doing, just a friendly advice. Do touch your brakes when you slow down, so that your brake lights will warn the people behind you. ;)
I actually use cruise control almost every time, it may not be the best idea but seeing the difference that me pressing the accelerator vs the car accelerating as it knows when it comes to consumption, I love it 🤣🤣
Running the A/C: My mechanic says that cars have become much more efficient in the past few decades. If you are on the highway, you engine has enough power that it doesn't cost much, if at all, to run your air conditioner's motor. In the city is a different story, where your engine has to 'rev' up to have enough power to run the a/c. But on the highway, it really doesn't cost you any gas mileage to speak of.
Alan Jezusko - you are absolutely right.......maybe 35-40 years ago the stress of an a/c compresser on an engine was about a 2-3mpg difference......since then the technology has managed to keep up with the modern engines diagnostics to the point that you cannot even feel the difference in the running of a cars engine when the a/c is turned on.
It doesn't cost much more on newer cars to run your a/c, but once you hit 40mph with all your windows down that causes drag and that in turn causes your engine to spend more gas fighting that drag.
I agree that they have become more efficient, but don't kid yourself, AC still uses gas. Together with other gas saving tips it can still save you money, not using it when you don't have to. ;)
Okay, problem with the way you talked about air conditioning. It uses a lot of fuel not because it puts a heavy electric load on the alternator and then thus the engine, but because its compressor/condenser is mechanically driven itself! When you turn it on that engages a clutch that locks the compressor's drive shaft to the pulley over it that's being spun by the engine. So it puts an extra direct mechanical load on the engine.
Modern A/C systems don't use much fuel if the outside temperature is low. The A/C compressor is only driven when cooling is needed. One benefit of running the A/C: It circulates the fluid in the system, preventing seals to dry out, and in turn prevents A/C fluid to leak out. If you select to turn A/C off, it is necessary to turn it on briefly ( 1 - 2 minutes each month) to lubricate the seals. I never turn it off on my car, and my previous car never needed to refill the A/C fluid in the 15 years I owned it.
Every time you brake, you waste gas, by wasting the momentum already produced . You can brake less by coasting more, like to the next red light, or to your next stop. just use your momentum and brake softly when at the end of your travel..
In today's vehicles, running the AC has a negligible effect versus how it used to be. These days you might lose 1 MPG by using the AC versus the 10%-15% fuel economy loss you may have had back in the day. And running the AC at highway speeds (above about 45-55 mph) is more efficient than using the windows. Less drag. One thing about using apps to find cheap gas. In many cases, unless the savings are significant, or you're buying a lot of gas (like a truck, that could take 30-40 gallons) generally you end up wasting whatever money you'd be saving, by driving across town to save 5-10 cents per gallon. If there is a more significant difference maybe it would make sense, but try to time it so you're not making a special trip to the other side of town just to get gas either.
Additional hack to save gas: Press your foot down on the accelerator and the brake like you have an egg between your foot and the pedal. If you "stomp" on either ("put your foot to the floor") the egg will break - you are going to get worse gas mileage. You should push you foot down slowly on the accelerator, but firmly and steadily - you will not break the egg and your engine will receive enough gas to perform at peak efficiency. The same with the brake pedal. If you have to stomp on the break for a stop that you know you have to do - breaking the egg - you have wasted gas getting up to, and maintaining speed, for longer than you needed to. Ease up on the gas pedal earlier and let the inertia you've already built up (it's free!!) take you to the point where you need to apply the brake. Apply it earlier as you begin to slow, and with gradual increase of force rather than performing a stop that tests your seat belts. Believe me, this works. I have a 94 Camaro with a V8 so I have to save gas any time I can. That way I can "light it up" when I really feel like it....
The cruise control is not correct. Maintaing constant pedal position will save you gas. You will go slower uphill and faster downhill compared to cruise control.
When using cruise control in a modern vehicle if you're going uphill it's going to give it more throttle to maintain speed it's set it when going downhill it will let off the throttle same as.
Air conditioning is important when its really hot and sunny, as heat makes one drowsy (or at least me anyway). Not driving the rain here in the UK means you'll end up hardly ever driving at all. The whole point of the car is to drive in the rain, and use nice days to walk or cycle...
You are so right! Driving 10 mph below the speed of traffic is extremely dangerous, since other cars and trucks will be constantly changing lanes near your car. Also, at highway speeds, driving with the windows open causes so much turbulence and drag that running the air conditioning uses far less fuel.
If you have car that keeps track of active mpg. You'll notice that the difference between accelerating slow or fast isn't much different but the amount of time it takes to accelerate is very different. Also you can run the ac just turn off the compressor when taking off until you reach the speed limit, most cars will automatically switch off the compressor at open throttle which doesn't necessarily mean foot on floor, but more like take off conditions
As for using Air Con, what about safety? I would rather use air con to 1) keep myself awake 2) keep windows and windscreen demystified especially during cold weathers.
if they have autohold you don't need to bother with that as when you fully stop the car automatically goes into park and then back into drive when you press the accelerator
At night look for cars, not lights. People do not drive with headlights on at all times. Do not drive in peoples blind spots. Accelerate slowly and try not to apply brakes. That saves fuel too. Manual transmissions can help keep people safe but it doesn't mean you should go out and buy one to be a little safer. Use turn signals even when nobody is around. Learn to predict peoples actions, I cannot teach you how to do this, you need to learn it on your own. You'll eventually learn to predict when someone is going to pull out in front of you or if they're going to yield properly. Maintain your vehicle and check it's fluids and brakes often. Just because your car's brakes work at the beginning of your trip does not mean they'll still be working at the end of it. That Maintenance goes for all parts of the car, wipers should be new, tires, suspension components. Brakes don't help if your car's wheels are not pointed down the road or if the wheel falls of or a tire explodes. Drive with traffic in cities, you wont save time by going faster, it's only going to use more fuel and make you less safe. Most of these people's videos are not very accurate and i basically just gave you all the pointers you'll need.
Have right of way? Doesn't matter, if other person doesn't seem like they're slowing down, YOU SHOULD WAIT FOR THEM! Lights turned green? Doesn't matter, if the other person doesn't seem like they're slowing down, YOU SHOULD WAIT FOR THEM! Other car indicating that they're turning? Doesn't matter, if the other person doesn't seem like they're slowing down, YOU SHOULD WAIT FOR THEM! Most of the people who are right are dead.
#10 is half correct. Yes you do want to accelerate as smoothly as possible (holding throttle as constant as possible), though using light throttle is not the most efficient way to accelerate. Internal combustion engines typically achieve their best brake specific fuel consumption at between 50% and 75% throttle and between 25% to 50% of redline rpm. If you can spend less time accelerating, and more time coasting, that will usually give you better efficiency. #9 is half correct. Cruise control is only more fuel-efficient on highways if the road is relatively flat; otherwise, the cruise control system will use extra fuel to climb hills and then waste that energy by closing the throttle completely when going downhill. It is a lot more fuel efficient to let your car lose a few mph going up a hill, and then let gravity pull you down the hill while either in neutral, or in the highest gear with very light throttle just to keep the valves from restricting air flow through the engine. #7 is correct, but not realistic. Driving with windows down is more fuel-efficient than driving with A/C on, at pretty much any legal speed, except for maybe trucks and SUVs. If you need to use A/C, it is most efficient to crank the temperature as low as possible, turn on air recirculation, aim the vents directly at your head, and set the blower fan as slow as you comfortably can. The blower fan uses a lot more power at high speeds than the A/C compressor. #5 is half-correct. The presence of rain gives you a valid excuse to travel significantly slower than the speed limit on highways, so you can cut down on aerodynamic drag big time.
I've been in 4 accidents while STOPPED. 2 times hit at a red light after stopped, 1 time in traffic and someone exited an apartment complex parking lot and simply ran into the rear quarter panel, and 1 time a guy backed into me while I was in line for gas! I speed all the time and haven't had any accidents while speeding. Situational awareness. There isn't much you can do while sitting at a stoplight but there is when you're cruising along at 75 mph down the interstate. Also, I get about 16 mpg in city in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I get 16 whether I jack rabbit start or not, use A/C or not, speed or not. I get about 20 on highway trips. I'll pay the alleged 15% difference and use A/C...which is negated when you roll the windows down and create excessive drag on the highway. If you want to drive slow and waste 20-30 minutes per day at stop lights, go right on ahead, I prefer not to. If I followed all these suggestions apparently I'd double my mileage. Well, the 2011 WK2 Overland doesn't get 32 mpg. Ever. Also, since I violate every one of these suggestions, I should be getting about 6 mpg. Well, I've gotten 15.4mpg on some trips, but not 6.
5:00 Turn off the Air conditioning ❄️? In Florida, if you keep your air conditioning off for the entire day, trust and believe your funeral ⚰️ would be on the next Saturday 😂😂
driving with air condition off dose NOT save gas on freeway as windows down creates drag .driving with air condition ON while on freeway will SAVE you GAS .
Or to make your life more fun trying to beat your precious mpg record. I find that much more exciting (and cost effective) than beating the navigation by one minute
Who busted that myth? From personal experience, in real world testing a few times on road trips so it’s all on highway. At 75mph with a/c on and windows up my car gets 28mpg. At 75 mph with a/c off and windows down my car gets 34 mpg.
I just bought a new car and because I'm a nerd just literally sat and read the manual. I expecially love the entire chapter on how to wear a seat belt.
Turning off AC somewhere hot should be considered a significant hazard, so hardly something to recommend. I suppose I could switch off the AC since I live in Sweden, but I actually don't notice a measurable difference with/without, probably since the air in isn't all that hot to begin with.
Elizabeth harris I live in mesquite, i don’t use AC in my house or car, just shut the blinds when you’re not in the house and during peak sun hours to stop the house from heating
Thanks for the advice I've looked into my BMW manual and it recommends to change oil *every 30.000km* silly me was changing it half the way , now my engine last twice as long 😌
This video's sooo stretched out it's unwatchable. The intro was legit 2+ minutes long and the transitions between each point are literally 10 or so seconds long. What is going on ...
I find that automatics still have a problem: shifting at the wrong time. For most people, the issue is minor. However in commercial vehicles and adverse weather, it can cause wheel spin, skidding and when accelerating out of a turn, because the trans upshifted too soon, it overreacts causing it to jolt the vehicle. As i drive a 23ft long, 10ft tall top heavy work van, these issues are pronounced.
This video is some bs. Speeding is not hazardous to safety. Driving consistently with the flow of traffic is what's safest. People who insist on driving 55 when the flow is going 70 are actually much more hazardous on the road. There are tons of reports and evidence showing how most people drive 70 whether the limit is 55 or 85. Video fail.
This isn't true, it's based on research on 2 lane country roads. Based in research on freeways, slower is basically always safer. It's thought that because people slow at intersections, even on country roads it's safer to drive slower.
@@joa8593 Nope, wrong! Slower is definitely NOT always safer! Doing 20 under the speed limit causes exactly as many accidents as doing 20 over! Merging onto a highway with not enough speed is one of the most dangerous things you can do. Still, I see it happen lots of times. Mishael53 is absolutely right when he says that it's best to go with the flow. As long as that flow is reasonable, of course. It is speed DIFFERENCE that is dangerous! Higher as well as lower!
@@kennethhymering677 Nope, that's old research that says average is best. Even research saying faster causes slightly fewer accidents had much, much higher fatality rates at higher speeds so they still concluded slow is safer. DoT is getting rid of the 85% rule and instead requiring much lower speed limits soon because slow is safer even when people break it and you have a mix of fast and slow. Besides, trucks are stuck at 55 MPH so you always have a difference in speed at anything over that.
@@joa8593 You misunderstand what I said. Of course it is better if we all have the same speed. And by the way, here in Canada, trucks can do the same speed as cars. So there is no speed difference! You are talking about lower speed limits, that is something entirely different. I was saying that when the speed limit is 55 on a highway, the guy doing 75 is no more dangerous as the guy doing 35! Actually, I would argue that the guy doing 35 is actually MORE dangerous, because nobody expects that! A truck coming up on the rear of somebody like that, doing 55..... I don't even want to consider the effects of that, do you?
No you don't trust me, i live in Stuttgart and if you think American drivers are bad then you obviously have never drove in Germany. For a nation that practically invented the engine and cars we have the stupidest drivers in the world.
Way down South, I use the AC during Spring from huge pollen problems. We have gardenia plants outside. Never up North. Spring and Summer it's HOT. Fall is Hot. Winter 3 years after moving to North Carolina we were working so hard we hadn't been to the beach we walk out of our house first week of December to go to church and we look at each other and say wow we have to go to the beach it's 85 degrees so it took us an hour and a half to get there we were so excited we never really believed the water would be warm,we could have gone swimming easily. Then, we have weather that bounces around. I don't think I want to sweat in my car. AC is more important than saving money to me.
55??? Really??? People get run over when they go that slow. Cruise control??? Only works on open freeways no traffic. Not happening in most places. Lol
I've used cruise control so often and for so long I've taught myself tips and tricks on how to use it safely even in moderate traffic. It's almost like using your hand rather than your foot to accelerate and decelerate. My parents started me using cruise control in the early 1960s.
In many modern cars the cruise control breaks the car if the car in front is driving slower then you have put it on. So if you have it on 70 mph but the car in front of you is doing 60 mph the car will adapt and do 60 as well and keep a certain distance. It's great when driving in rush hour or in the city.
1) Air conditioning is the active safety feature. Just the good comfort while driving is one of the active safety features. Active safety feature is the feature that prevents the car accidents. Also modern cars have inverter driven AC and the heat recuperation, which will hold the stable temperature (21-22°C is the best) and save the fuel and money by not overcooling. 2) Using too low RPM, specially with common rail or any other direct injection engines causes the carbonization of valves. Maybe you will safe some fuel, but not for too long. The vents will stop sealing precisely, engine will loose its power because of that. The best option is to keep engine near the maximum torque RPM. Also, it is necessary to sometimes keep engine with particulate filter at high power output when the system decides to automatically clean it by burning the particles. 3) Where is the advice to brake by engine instead of the wheel brakes when possible? Saving the brakes is one of the most important things. Using lower gears to keep engine at high RPM for good engine braking power is much more ecologic and economing than using wheel brakes. 4) Tire pressure: Just the note - the good tire pressure is totally useless when the car has bad tires geometry and the tires are not balanced. It is good to visit the service for balance the tires and adjust the geometry to get the best of them. It is mandatory in the EU that all new cars have tire pressure monitoring.
One important thing dont drive on N gear while go downhill just be on right gear and dont touch the gas pedal when driving downhill on N gear the gravity make the engine goes hardwork and try to stop your car this process make your engine use more gas then just dont use the gas pedal. I drive honda jazz 2004 and when i use this technique i save 300 gram gas on every 1 to 2 km. Another technique you need to use is to downshifting on around 1000-1500 revs on the engine. With these two techniques you can travel 30-40 km more with the same amount of gas.

They even showed this in my driving school class and I was just thinking “how don’t people know all of this?”
Here are 5 facts about this video:
1) Stretching something out just for the sake of it, without any worthy materials is a very poor editing choice.
You can't tell someone in Arizona to drive without the A/C...ESPECIALLY during the summer. That's like telling someone go a week with out eating
Well no...you can survive a week without eating.
Ryan Andrus you could also survive a week with no A/c...but would you really want to deal with that? I didnt say anything about surviving, I just was making a point.
He means turn it off when practical.
dsmythy - True..but there is no practical time during the summer in AZ to not have the A/C on while driving 😃
Thank God someone said it
Not according to Mythbusters
Totally agreed. 100% correct

Driving 50 in a 70? Come on! That causes accidents.
And road rage.
🤣🤣
You can also get a ticket for going too slow
You could also make a shorter video and not drag it so long and save people some times ! Time is money too ! 💁🏻♂️

One most efficient trick in smooth traffic is keeping double the breaking distance, so that u can stop acceleration and control your speed with out breaking. (Less breaking more fuel efficient)
Yep, except somebody will always cut in in front of you :)

I swear I'll beat up the guy who does the narration if we ever meet in person.
Number 1 tip is especially useful for drivers of manual vehicles. Using engine braking to slow down gradually for traffic lights does not use any fuel (ECU cut off), and will also save on brake pads.
Yeah take it from the wise guy who put km/h instead of rpms in his animation
Yeah, pretty knowledgeable about cars. Listen to him.

It's not. It's a tachometer but it has km/h markings.
I was just looking for this comment
I do most all these and a few more and have been using tricks like these for years to save gas and brakes.they do work or i wouldnt do them and will always do them 90% of the time. Some people think it's crazy or don't care know days just look around you on the highway and you can tell but doing these things do help save gas and brakes, specially with a standard transmission.like for example my '15 honda civic ex manual coupe, 2,805lbs,1.8L-16v sohc,13.2 gal gas tank,4.30 gear mpg is 28 city/36 highway, when I've drove it on 87 or 93 octane, the most I've pulled out of it is 41.0 mpg city,47.0 mpg highway.according to where I'm driving and that's East Tennessee and yes I could prove by recording it when I drive.brakes,I barely use them at all cause I start slowing down for stop signs and red lights way before by just letting off the gas and shifting down and same with cars in front of me ,you have to anticipate what people are going to do or what is going to happen it's really not hard and helps save brakes, gas and accidents.
visit "transmission.like" because u typed the link sorry
Sounds like you know what you're doing, just a friendly advice. Do touch your brakes when you slow down, so that your brake lights will warn the people behind you. ;)
So everybody on the planet should stay home from work when it rains

I actually use cruise control almost every time, it may not be the best idea but seeing the difference that me pressing the accelerator vs the car accelerating as it knows when it comes to consumption, I love it 🤣🤣
LOL, I use the cruise control once I reach the speed limit. This seems to make a nice parade behind me. PS: I am 75 and learned a few things.
I’m sorry but living in the Caribbean I must have AC because I believe God does be cooking us down here😂

In India too.

Alan Jezusko
Not to mention your cutting down on wind resistance when your windows are up on the highway. It actually helps to use AC in my truck.
It doesn't cost much more on newer cars to run your a/c, but once you hit 40mph with all your windows down that causes drag and that in turn causes your engine to spend more gas fighting that drag.
I agree that they have become more efficient, but don't kid yourself, AC still uses gas. Together with other gas saving tips it can still save you money, not using it when you don't have to. ;)
Our speed limit is 70, my car uses Mobile 1, it's 98° F/ 90 % humidity in the summer it rains every day.
Buy a Tesla honestly.
I hear that, D.........
D Jaquith
Become a hobo.
I like it when it rains in general, but when driving it's dangerous especially when it rains like cats and dogs hardcore.
D Jaquith. Wow!!!! I would start a home-based business or move to a different climate!!!!
Credit 750 ... just got a 2015 honda in the quickness... thank you!!! Going to save alot of money
I think something a lot of people don't think about is maintaining your speed when going uphill. Slowing down makes it hard for your car to catch up.
Every time you brake, you waste gas, by wasting the momentum already produced . You can brake less by coasting more, like to the next red light, or to your next stop. just use your momentum and brake softly when at the end of your travel..
This is why hybrids are great, regenerative braking, improves mpg dramatically, I get 62 mpg in the Hyundai Ioniq Blue hybrid.
Yea but who has the money for a hybrid??
THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS WRONG WITH THIS
Nice narration and tips..!!
Wow. Literally drag out the video to 10 mins on the dot.
The cruise control is not correct. Maintaing constant pedal position will save you gas. You will go slower uphill and faster downhill compared to cruise control.
90% driving without cruise will cause your car to slightly accelerate and then reduce speed because your foot and mind is not as steady
It wont since in downhills it will rev up and in uphills you will be stuck more time
When using cruise control in a modern vehicle if you're going uphill it's going to give it more throttle to maintain speed it's set it when going downhill it will let off the throttle same as.
I get better fuel economy with cruise control off
Why wouldn't it work?,a steady pedal will increase your gas mileage, they're usually ain't to many hills on the freeway, people are dumb
Air conditioning is important when its really hot and sunny, as heat makes one drowsy (or at least me anyway). Not driving the rain here in the UK means you'll end up hardly ever driving at all. The whole point of the car is to drive in the rain, and use nice days to walk or cycle...
I love these videos!

Ok cool I'll tell my boss to watch this RUclips video to back up my claim. I'm sure nothing will happen to me.

I guess you are having another job waiting for you
Everything was good until you said 55 on freeway, no way buddy. Slow drivers clogs freeways since everyone has to drive around them..
You are so right! Driving 10 mph below the speed of traffic is extremely dangerous, since other cars and trucks will be constantly changing lanes near your car. Also, at highway speeds, driving with the windows open causes so much turbulence and drag that running the air conditioning uses far less fuel.
You go can 70 or 75 and get good gas mileage
PATRIOT7ME how?
U should drive with the flow of traffic
Driving 55 if the best way to get good fuel efficiency, that's what you came to this video for right?
Dislike for saying all sports cars are turbocharged.
Think of the ferrari f12 berlinetta! 700 hp naturally aspirated
I legit laughed when he said all turbo charged
That one is pretty hilarious. I've own sports cars, that were NOT and are NOT Turbocharged. 😂 I'm very against Turbocharged vehicles anyway.
@@natoshabrown why are you against turbocharged vehicles? Just curious.
Not to mention a turbocharged vehicle is more efficient than a similar naturally aspirated vehicle.
I’m so glad you taught me about cruise control, I’ve never heard that before! 😳
As for using Air Con, what about safety? I would rather use air con to 1) keep myself awake 2) keep windows and windscreen demystified especially during cold weathers.
For auto cars put it in neutral when stopping for long periods of time. You will save a lot of fuel that way and put less strain on the transmission.
if they have autohold you don't need to bother with that as when you fully stop the car automatically goes into park and then back into drive when you press the accelerator
buddy why not just put it in park instead of using brakes while in nuteral
@@trualpha cause that is not what the park gear is for and it would take longer to go from park to drive then natural to drive at traffic lights etc.
@@arkhamkillzone wym longer i got a civic takes .05 sec

Yes! Make that video on driving habits to keep drivers safe! 😄

Funny you said that, the early Cherokees got 7mpg'

Excellent information
driving with air condition off dose NOT save gas on freeway as windows down creates drag .driving with air condition ON while on freeway will SAVE you GAS .

Brilliant 😃👌
The tips are great, but showing the speedometer in between each one and the sound going "Broom broom", is most annoying !

"It isn't what you drive...it's how you drive it" - Jeremy Clarkson
Dorothee Behr you drive like 150mph and make big risks -.-
In many modern cars the cruise control breaks the car if the car in front is driving slower then you have put it on. So if you have it on 70 mph but the car in front of you is doing 60 mph the car will adapt and do 60 as well and keep a certain distance. It's great when driving in rush hour or in the city.
Local freeway's by me are 55mph speed limits, but most everyone still does 70mph.
Benjamin Erlandsson that isn't cruise control, it's adaptive cruise control.
