how long does it take to dry out the gourd? do u have a fast easy process you use for that? looks very pretty I've done one before but it took forever for me to busy let the gourd dry naturally.

I bought two gourds a few years ago , let them dry out for almost a year , drilled it , painted it , and than set it out . Went to check on it a few weeks later and it molded , I forgot to seal it .......ugh ! Lesson learned , lol ! It was a bird house .... Was !
Good Morning Patti What a gorgeous Gourd* Love the entire thing you did with it. I really love mixed media the way it looks is so shabby soft and pretty. Love the glitter of course. Where did you get your gourd? did you grow it? I saw the seeds fall out of yours, maybe you can save them and plant them in the spring!!! talk to you later Girly deezie

Hi Ebania, and thank you...Yes, I feed the birds year round and you'll sometimes see them in my video's. A few of the projects that I make just for videos have been put in our garage. Don't the birds slip in under the garage door, build nests in them and make happy little bird homes? Soon we have little chicks flying all over the inside of our garage. Warm and safe. :) Patti

So pretty. I used to make gourd bird houses. I used leather dyes, & I would wood burn and carve designs all over them.
