Thanks so much. I’m so glad you liked this. Some flowers are easier than others. After making a couple of flowers , you’ll really get the feel of how it all comes together and then it only gets easier from there. Thanks for watching and happy flower making. 🌸
Thank you. These are fun to make. I’m working on an Easter lilies made from coffee filter now. Hope you stay tuned for that upcoming video. Thanks for the support
I’m so glad you liked this video. Paper flowers are a lot of fun to make. I think you’ll enjoy some of the other flower videos. Thanks for watching and happy flower making ! 🌸
Suzy!! Your videos helped me make coffee filter flowers for a marriage renewal ceremony. You made me look like a rock star!! Hydrangea and bloomed roses in oval tins from the dollar store. They loved them.
What beautiful poppies Suzy. I have a big stash of large coffee filters I found at the Goodwill. I can't wait to make some. Again thanks for sharing. 😊🤗😚😙❤❤❤
Your flowers are incredible! I love them all! One day soon, I am going to attempt to make them! So beautiful! Thank you for sharing your ideas with us. Thank you for clearing up the mystery deep breathing--was wondering if that was a sleeping dog. Lol! Hope your day is beautiful and blessed.
Thanks for the support. I love making these flowers. There’s always an occasion to make more. I think you really enjoy making them. My dog is a very deep sleeper ha ha. Thanks for watching. Happy flower making. 🌸
Thank you once again for a great tutorial and wonderful flowers. I was wondering if you would be doing a tutorial on coffee filter pointsettias. Would love to do something for Christmas! Thanks again..
So glad you liked this. I’ve made poinsettias from felt but never tried coffee filters. It’s trickier to make flowers that have fewer petals using the coffee filters. I will share if I find a pattern that works. Thanks for watching
Thanks so much. They turn out great and just imagine all the different colour combinations. Hope you try to make these and enjoy them as much as I do. Thanks for watching.
Thank you. These are actually very easy to make. I’ve used them in bouquets and more recently in a basket filled with various paper flowers. Thanks for watching
I’m sure you could do a zoom call and make the flowers with your family. Technology is great but I don’t know all the tricks. Definitely more fun hosting a flower making party with the family in person if you can. I’ve never made pansies but I’m sure there is a way. When I figure it out I’ll share. Thanks for watching.
Sorry the confusion… I meant , I want to try making them in red but haven’t had the opportunity yet. I think they’ll look nice in any colour. Have a nice day.
I love orange too. Using the egg carton allowed my to experiment. Red is very intense so I’d start with a good amount of yellow and with the toothpick add the red. For the brown center add green to the orange. Again , use a toothpick when adding the green because it will change the colour drastically. Also, the shade of orange will vary as it’s hard to match every flower colour but that’s what makes it interesting. I hope you have lots of fun making these. I’m sure they will turn out beautiful!
Hello. I haven’t personally used those inks but other viewers have and said they turned out great. Experimenting is all part of the creative process. You may prefer the inks to food colour. I’ll add it to my list of things to try. Happy flower making and thanks again for watching.
Dear Suzy are these like Icelandic Poppies? i am having problems w the stem. i ordered green bamboo straws but they are way to weird looking. How do you thicken stems to look so natural ? thanks so much, grace in vermont
Hello. Do the bamboo straws bend? Do they look too thick? You can always take toilet paper , squish it into a long ribbon and wrap it around your floral wire until you get a desired thickness…You’ll need to add a little glue to your floral wire to hold the paper in place. Then you can tightly wrap the stem with your green floral tape. That should work nicely too.
@@suzyrebelo they are thick and stiff so they cant bend, i have not tried soaking the straws in water to change the shape yet; I would like to get a natural look. thanks for helping me so much! Suzy i have to make the packets to mail each sister. how many filters should i mail each sister so they can make a bouquet? i will share your link here with them too. I am so excited. I LOVE purple and your bouquets look so real to me. bless you, grace in vermont
They do look like the Icelandic poppies. If you’re making a dozen flowers you’ll need 30 or do filters. However, if you can, send as many as you are able. It will be fun to experiment with different colours and they might like to try another one of my coffee filter flowers like the roses or carnations So nice of you to share with your sisters, I do the same thing too… happy flower making.
Hi there. These flowers really aren’t meant for outdoor use. The paper just isn’t strong enough. They might stand up to dry weather , under a covered area though.
I can appreciate that. This is just an idea that viewers can use as a guide, then improve on it with their own creativity. Thanks for watching. I appreciate the input and support.
Suzy, you are a really great & intuitive instructor!!! I love your little dog. 🐶 I think your tips & tools for realistic floral pieces are great!!! I have made my own coffee filter flowers before I even knew about RUclips and I love it so much more now that I know there are people like you to help me along!!! Thanks so much!!!
@sheilarodriguez5126 I appreciate your response but I just looked at images of Gods creation of poppies because they are one of my very favorite flowers!!! I can’t grow them. I am certain with this wonderful tutorial I will now be able to make them! The stamen that Suzy has re-created from styrofoam is pretty spot on IMO!!!
That’s so nice of you to say. Inspiration can come from many sources. Not everything turns out but it’s certainly fun trying. Thank you for the kind words and happy flower making.
I absolutely love all of your tutorials!! Even the most complex flowers you make look so easy to do! Stunning! Thank you!

Dear Suzy any tricks on teaching this online to my family? Moon your flowers are the best!!! Hugs, grace

Love your paper. Thank you for sharing your art. One question please: 250 degrees are Fahrenheit or Celsius?
Good day. You want a very low heat of 250 Fahrenheit. It only takes a few minutes for these to dry. Thank you for watching and happy flower making.
Genius!
So glad you liked this. These are one of the easier flowers to make. I have yet to make them in red. Thanks for watching.
@@suzyrebelo I’ll keep looking for the red poppies, but these purple ones are truly beautiful.

I tried candle wax.over the leaf .
That’s interesting. Did it make it transparent?
Suzi i mixed alcohol and food coloring into a bottle spray mister
It dried faster and you can straight paint immediately
Oh wow. That’s a great idea. I’ll try it. Thanks for sharing
I’m curious to see how it looks. Happy flower making
Sunflowers lilies tulips alcatraz???
Your creativity is off the charts. I can see you’re going to have a lot of fun with this craft. Thanks for watching.
Hon not moon !.lol... Can you do a pansy??
Never made a pansy but I’m sure there is a way. Crepe paper allows you to make almost any flower. Glad you liked this video. 🙏
Hi Suzy could I use the poppies for the grave 🙂
Hi there. These flowers really aren’t meant for outdoor use. The paper just isn’t strong enough. They might stand up to dry weather , under a covered area though.
I don’t like the green ball in the middle. These aren’t my favorite flowers that you make. Love your others though.
