      Omg. I was thinking about making more. I make use of all the flowers by switching them out by season or just when I get tired of a look. I give a lot away for gifts. They are especially nice for those in retirement homes because they are no maintenance and allergy free. That make room to make more ha ha! Enjoy and thanks for watching and commenting on your progress.

    Suzy-thank you for all of your wonderful videos. I've been following you for some time. As I SLOWLY learn these techniques (do to my age, not your videos!) , I wonder if you have mailed some bouquets across the country and
    had them arrive successfully? If so, how did you package them? Thank you so much.

    • @suzyrebelo
      @suzyrebelo  2 года назад

      I really enjoy sharing these videos. I have not mailed the flowers but I store mine in a box, layered between scrunched up tissue paper, so they don’t get flattened. I alternate the direction of flower head between layers and bend stems to fit in the box. It’s worked well for storage, I think it may work for mailing a box too. Hope this is helpful. Happy flower making.

    • @suzyrebelo

      What a sweet memory to have of this flower. I did not make the baby breath. , I bought it at a local store, they are made of silk. I think it might be too tedious to make all those tiny flowers. Real baby breath dries so nicely too. I did use gel food colouring because it’s more intense in colour than the liquid. These are really quick and easy yo make. I think you’ll enjoy creating all kinds of bouquets. So glad you’re liking these videos. Happy holidays Grace. 🎄

      Hi Doris. No, I do not add a sealer. I dust by gently shaking the flowers outside or if indoors I ruffle them while holding the vacuum nozzle near the bouquet. Thanks for watching.

    What type of coloring paint do you use to make the colored water? Is it clothes dye colors?

    • @suzyrebelo
      @suzyrebelo  Год назад

      Hi. I use food colouring. The kind you use on icing. Viewers have also shared that they used water colours or acrylic paint. The difference will be on how translucent the colour looks. It’s fun to experiment a bit, you might really like the way it looks. Happy flower making.

      Antonina. They are basket filters 8 to 12 cups. They sell everywhere in Canada. I’m sure you could order them online. They are very inexpensive here about 2$ - 3$ for 200 filters. You can buy these from Amazon. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching

      Hi there. Standard Size - Made to fit coffee makers from 8 cup up to 12 cup. The dimensions of this filter are: Base Diameter 3-1/4", Side Height 2-3/8". Therefore, the full diameter is 8 “. Each brand might be slightly different measurements but this won’t make much of a difference in the flower size. Hope this helps. 🌸. Let me know if you get this message

    • @suzyrebelo
      @suzyrebelo  2 года назад +1

      Dale, I painted concentrated food colour directly on each leaf, then dried them. If you don’t think it’s deep enough add another coat of colour. Also, a touch of red deepens the green. I hope this helps. Happy flower making.

    Do you think you could use rit dye instead of food coloring?

    • @suzyrebelo
      @suzyrebelo  Год назад

      Hi there. I’ve never thought of that. I suppose any kind of dye would work , even natural food dyes like beets etc..but I don’t know how long before the colours would fade. It might be costly and not very practical to use rit dyes. I really don’t know…Food colouring is only a few dollars and you get and can make so many different colours. This would be my first choice. Thanks for sharing and watching this video. Happy flower making.
