Don’t forget there are Nook Miles rewards for wishing on 1, 30, and 200 stars. Why the sudden jumps I have no idea, but I’ve gotten all 3 rewards.
Spencer - Midville My first star shower I had no idea the amount you can get each night is capped, and I ended up going for all 200 in the first night lol xD I enjoyed it though (and I had some extra friends over which ended up boosting my number)

30 for the actual attempt (or could be something like maybe you did 10, found you got 10 stars and they want you to do 20 more to reach for your cap something like that)
200 is just something to pick up after it's done multiple times. Animal crossing is about "taking it easy and enjoying it over several days" which is contrary to most games in a way so it makes sense most milestones might have a significant jump
I was so frustrated that I spent the whole night wishing for star fragment (WITH JOYCON DRIFT) and I got only a stack of small fragments and no large fragments.
I feel this. My drift is so bad I can't wish any more because both are terrible

Susan Sanborn You can get new joycons but they're expensive. Nintendo do free repairs. In some places it's still taking a while due to covid but check their website to see!
idk if this will help anyone here, but i fixed my drift last night by doing smth i saw in a youtube vid. Im surprised it worked honestly lol!

Celeste gave me a wand recipe but it wasn’t even a star...it was a tire iron 🤣
I got a recipe for a shell wand from a message bottle and it requires 3 small fragments and a few summer shells. So luckily I did not have to get a large fragment

For all you reading the comments out there: I have gotten 40 fragments on my island if I wish over 40 times. The key is collecting all 20 off the beach. Then exit the game, reload it and there should be up to 20 more. Sometimes you need to go into a building for the full 20 to spawn, but I’ve found this method works. I had JUST ME on the island, got 40 total fragments. Not sure if you can go higher. Hope this helps!

It took me a while to notice, but the Zodiac fragments are color coded based on the birthstone of the month they're mostly associated with. So for example, Taurus -> May -> emerald, and Leo -> August -> peridot. I think that's a nice touch. :)

I've been getting at least a light shower every week, and STILL haven't gotten large star fragments!!! Keep in mind I've been playing since launch.

My mom figured out that if and when you get a three in a row shooting star flash, if you get all three you get a large star fragment! Its still not 100% but i think it is! Like so kora can see!

Wuff's Meteonook (developed by Ninji, the dataminer) you can figure out when your star showers are down to the second, meaning even on light shoew nights you can time travel to when they're most clustered and get your 20 star wishes
In my experience with ACNH(about a month of playtime) when a star formation(constellation) is visible in the night sky, you'll get a zodiac shard for that month. I've only had 2 meteor showers, both small but the constellation appeared on my first meteor shower and I got a Cancer zodiac shard and 17 star shards. The constellation that appeared was the big dipper btw
Kora proceeded to waste 4 hours wishing in stars only to get 20 star fragments as predicted. But Kora learned a valuable lesson that day..... never trust comments. 😂

I'd never had a meteor shower before (or one that isabelle announced anyway), but then a few weeks ago I had three nights in a row announced by isabelle each time. I didn't know that was even possible
Isabelle told me about her horoscope so I thought there would be a meteor shower that night. There was NO Celeste and NO stars. I feel betrayed

I wished on a bunch of stars one night (I think like 5 or 7), animation and all. But when I checked for fragments the next day on the beach, there weren't any anywhere. Not even the secret beach. I was pretty mad.

If you wish with your character, then they should only appear when you are playing. I have 4 characters on my island (all me) and when one wishes, the fragments won't appear when I'm logged into one of the other characters. I've had days where I didn't log onto the wish character until the evening of the next day, and the stars didn't appear until I was using them.

I've had up to 40 frags several times! I have never experienced a cap of 20 frags on my island, but I have experienced the cap visiting friends' islands
I successfully found my weather seed a few weeks ago, and have hit every small shower since (6ish I think?). No large shower until the end of the month. I've always gotten 20 star fragments the next day.
I still have yet to find my seed! Waiting for a meteor shower night and hopefully I won't forget to time it lol
@@koramora It took me three attempts, but I got it with 3 consecutive days of weather (5-6 consecutive hours each), and 1 light meteor shower with 7 star times. Didn't bother with the seconds, just got it to narrow down to a few possible seeds, then checked each one for the next shooting star until I found a match.
Confirming. I managed to get my seed also, have done several small showers and always get 20 the next day.

definitely have had more than 20 fragments (normal, large and zodiac) but i can't say for certain if i've had more because of friends visiting and wishing upon stars. though they usually don't stay for 100 wishes, unless it adds each friend's together? but i do know i sometimes get over 30 fragments total over the day (as they respawn on the beach so i comb the beaches several times throughout the day). next time i'll take more notice to it. i had a shower earlier this week and will likely get celeste another day so if i can play then i will try and see if i get more than 20 fragments alone.

Like, it’s one of those songs my brain replays at random, which happens to me with songs I really internalize and like.The first time it happened, I was like “what IS that song? It’s so good!! Wait, that’s the firework song from Animal Crossing!” And that was after one fireworks event. I had heard the song once. It usually doesn’t take THAT quickly!

MeteoNook is a pain, I can't find my seed and I have confirmed all my data is correct.
Update: I think I found my seed (235911023), it seems to match all of my screenshots :) Most of my screenshots were taken after the X:30 mark therefore making them unreliable.
Ava Donado I find the best is to put in data until it knows what the pattern for that day is then immediately move on and do that for at LEAST two weeks worth, I struggled to find my seed until that
it's not that, it's just my data is freakin correct and it keeps spitting out false seeds

LOL, when I first saw meteor showers on my island, my friends and I spent hours just getting as many as possible. Granted, we then realized we only get a certain amount. Great video, by the way, as I now know to stop wishing upon a star all the time for the Astrology fragments to build my furniture as they only come on certain weeks of the year.
I time travel, and what i do is when i find a day with shooting stars i just go back to the time just before the time where the most stars fall and keep doing that (ex: on Dec. 23 at around 11:23, 5 stars would fall in a row, and it would end at 11:26. I just keep going back to 11:23, wishing on the stars, and then going to the next day. Its pretty effective, i was able to get 20+ small fragments, 3 large, and 8 zodiacs.) If you need a strategy for quick farming, hopefully this helps :D

I've been wishing on a lot of stars in many showers until now, and I can confirm I have never gotten more than 20 fragments the next day, although I'm sure that on most days I've wished on more than 20 stars. So this really seems to be either a hard cap or a very low chance of bypassing.

Quick tip! If you have Nintendo switch online/visit friend’s islands alot, you can go on AC discord servers to find people with meteor showers/Celeste and stop by to get some fragments or a DIY. A lot of people will let you visit for free/around 10K bells and I did this for a few weeks straight to get all the Celeste DIYs

Recently, I wished on shooting stars all night using my controller's turbo button, and the most stars I collected were 35 stars (I checked the beaches three times throughout the next day).
I think it's easier to wish on stars for a handful of hours and collect the resulting stars on the beach throughout the day and do it on a week that has multiple shooting stars using MeteoNook website.
I did once have more than 20 star fragments on my island but that is after I invited people to my island for some shooting star party. The amount adds up to 40+ fragments (20 from me and the rest from 10 visitors).

time traveling for an hour after the stars is what i always did, never knew it was the best way! but once i got over 30 from wishing for around 150.
I had my first one last night, I was a pretty big one, isabelle didn't announce it tho, but it was the day that the residents services upgrade for me, a villager told me about it, but when I talked again with her she didn't mention it again, and I've talked to everyone to see if someone spoked about it, and I was just that one time, so try to pay attention to what they say.
Mine started right at 7PM and it lasted till 4am.
I've wished like 150 times and only got 20, 19 of the normal yellow ones and 1 big one.
Celeste didn't appeared, I think because Redd was there.
I've only managed to get one of the space diy recipies(moon lander), other than that it is always zodiac themed. I wish Celeste could come by more often

I wished on a star for the first time the other day and wished on maybe just over ten. My mom also played and wished on over 50. When she played the next day, she found nine fragments on the beach and was really upset. I played right after her and got just over ten. (I don't remember exact numbers) I also kept finding one here and there on the beach after finding them all the first time.

From TTing a bunch, I think Celeste shows up for sure on a meteor shower day that's on a Monday since that's when the "week" starts in the game.

I saw on a video that when you have more than one account on a island and both of you wish on stars, then it increases the amount on the beach the next day
