@@gracievictor9958 i find them on twitch- of course, i only do the free ones, and just a word of warning sometimes you will be waiting for awhile because there are many people trying to get in at once! it does take some patience but is totally worth in :D

Raymond came to my camp one day and I decided to keep him to see what the fuss was all about. To me, it was just another neighbor and didn't like his office and boring look. Since I was (and still am) at a FB group. I decided to give him away to the member who wanted him the most, so I posted why would someone spend money on him. Few people answered to my question before I announced my intention to give Raymond away. Turns out, 5 minutes later around 10 different people continuously tried to contact me, offering real money and other goods from the game (Nook tickets, 1M bells, Turnips, hello kitty furniture) and so on. There was even a man who mentioned his daughter, telling me that i had a social duty to minors to give them what they want, bla bla bla... Finally, Raymond stayed at a girls island, who was the second who responded my previous question. Still don't understand why is he so popular. Is he still? dk
Around a year ago I had the same thing, raymond came to my campsite. I didn't particularly like him, so I sold him at nookazon for 36 million bells! It took over an hour to just deliver me the bells. I'm still coasting in the game as a result.
I think people like him for 3 reasons: 1: he was a new villager, and therefor more exciting for players who were used to older villagers. And 2: (the same reason anyone likes any of the villagers in new horizons), he had a cool design. Speaking as someone who's tried to design characters with heterochromia before, balancing out that kinda color scheme and making it look good is no easy feat, and a lot of people like grey-tone color schemes. And 3: he was among the rarest villagers in the game, so getting him was, to a certain extent, bragging rights. Granted, there were almost certainly some people who specifically only liked Raymond *because* he was popular (bandwagon mentality and all that), but he had a lot of elements that just lined up well for him to be a popular villager.
Yeah I don't play New Horizons, I play New Leaf, so I've never interacted with Raymond myself But from what I've seen, he looks like an extremely boring and unlikable villager
1:25 I remember seeing those scams and decided to giveaway a bunch of Raymonds (and any other villagers or item someone would ask for), for free for like a month on this Animal Crossing livestream that had a character sleeping in a bed.
Scams?! Scams on the Internet?! What?! Back in my day, we didn't have Internet scams, granted we didn't have Internet either but still.... Yeah people tried to scam us IRL, just not as common.
Scams in the early years of the Internet existed like viruses and stuff but they usually were harmless jokes or to raise awareness about not clicking random links, now, people use viruses to sell your information.
It's not real money but i remember once on Nookazon i got scammed by a French person. I wanted specific socks to complete an outfit and offered anyone who had them to trade for a furniture item. I got a ping then invited the person over. They first dropped 2 pairs of socks on the ground and grabbed my furniture, but i quickly put both socks on to check if they were the ones and neither was the type, they weren't even the right color...., I then dropped the socks back on the ground and asked for the ones i asked for on nookazon. The person dropped a 10K bell bag and again i said i just wanted the socks i asked for, they then said something in French and dropped 600 bells...... By that point i was annoyed because it was days of me looking for those socks so i pressed the minus button and kicked them. A few mins later they gave me a 1 star and wrote a long review that i couldn't understand, in return i gave them 1 star and wrote that they tried to scam me by intentionally showing up with random items that had nothing to do with the trade listings and then had the audacity to write a negative review because i refused it. lol boy that was annoying.
You know I get wanting to buy items, I've been playing since launch and STILL haven't had the "western style stone" DIY drop. And I've always had a spooky / Halloween themed island but haven't been able to make a proper graveyard. It's frustrating that you can get so many duplicate DIY's but never have he one you are looking for drop. And I feel like this got worse once they introduced cooking because now I'm getting all the cooking recipes and still no graveyard stone. Plus, I've slowed way up on playing Animal Crossing... I hope this is something they (Nintendo) fix in the next game.
I don't know if you know this already but that diy is from the villagers with the normal personality. If you have one or more on your island check when they are crafting and that might help you get the recipe.
the only aspect i liked abt the game was decorating, so i always used nookazon or bought items from sites 🤷♀️ theyre super cheap anyway, and most good treasure islands wld cost more than just buying the items at online shops individually
I have the recipe for a gold watch, but I can never find the wristwatch for sale at Nook’s Cranny. I’ve gotten other items after giving up though, so I may yet find one. I have logged thousands of hours, so I can wait. Keeps the game interesting.
I never really cared about Raymond, but the only reason I have him on my island is that in like April 2020 i found him in my campsite and ,how could I not take the opportunity to get him just cause
I'm sorry these scummy sites steal your work. Script writing and video editing are no joke! You consistently give us such quality Animal Crossing content and as someone who started playing after the hype went down, I really appreciate it! This is my first Animal Crossing game and I hope the new one will come soon but otherwise I'm glad it led me to your channel. Love your vids!
“…the long road ahead, that we thought was gonna be like two weeks long and now it’s been three years and we’re still here so whatever” - is now my work email signature
I'm so relieved I got him as a camper, and then got his card in one of the (amazingly few) Target S6 drops so I don't have to deal with this. When I get back into the game, he's getting replaced by Frett though (who came in the same pack). I will admit I did spend $10 on a load of NMTs from one of those Chinese stores early on...I don't regret it since the NMT economy is ridiculous, but probably would've thought it through if I was a later player.
The whole real money thing is kinda annoying. Like they can scam you once you go to the island, even with in game items with no irl money. Anyway, I actually got 2 packs of the sanrio amiibos. I didn't know they sold out so fast. I also got Raymond, and he is my favorite villager tbh. I got him as an autofill when Butch moved out. But the fact that people would pay irl money for a villager is just crazy.
deff recommend nook mile islands, although the biggest flaw i have found with them is that the villagers available are usually just the most popular villagers. if you are looking for an unpopular villager you may have to resort back to nookazon or just island hunts. you may also have to wait for their islands to refresh or come to them at low traffic hours for very popular villagers like sasha. but thats way less of a hassle than villager hunting the normal way. sucks if you dont have nintendo online though.
You could have hit "sold items" on eBay to see if any were actually sold. My bet is many weren't lol but it's so funny. I bought my favorite villagers amiibo - 3 for like 8$.
I think that buying bells and items will real money might take the joy out of the game. I’ve been playing since 2020 and I’m guilty of spending real money on bells and nmts and I think that it was so easy that I got burnt out fast. Now I’m taking my time. Selling stuff for bells and villager. Don’t forget the animal crossing cat-fishers I also had a girl “steal” my dream address on twitch. She gave a streamer my dream address and said that it was her island and asked them tour it. I was flattered but also creeped out.
Yeah, our living room TV went out in March 2020. None were left in our small town to replace it and online prices skyrocketed. When we finally got it replaced (Dec 2020), we began looking into the Switch. It was still a struggle to grab one at Christmas 2021.
I remember back in New Leaf people were selling Julian and marshal for $$$ and Raymond seems to have made that villager trade explode in a bad way even more. I just earned to make my own amiibo cards now, much easier
In the next game of Animal Crossing , I’m honestly hoping that game would have a newer function that will jus get rid of all of the scammers and hackers and modders. So that way we all can be able to help each other , but from in game only.
I'm a total noob and got Raymond on my first ever villager hunt (after about 3 island visits) and loved him immediately. He's now a forever resident of my island. Had no idea people were paying for the dear boy
I still don’t understand how treasure islands work tbh the only ones I’ve ever seen ask you to pay and you get a time slot you can go lol. I didn’t do it coz I like my money but I’ve always been intrigued by them
ive had the best results searching for "treasure island" on twitch and going to whichever one online has the third most viewers at the time so i know it's a good island but the traffic isnt too crazy. the most popular ones are free to visit at any time. some require you to subscribe to the channel to see all of the island codes but thats still free. id never spend irl money on a treasure island. only downside of anyone visiting all the time is you might get interrupted when someone arrives or leaves.
Twitch. Most of them are completely free the only catch is you have to follow them, it's like subscribing to RUclips channels only on Twitch you press Follow. There's follow and then there's subscribe on Twitch. The difference is when you follow you're book marking that steamer and it works the same as a youtube subscription where you keep up with and get updates on their content. When you subscribe, you're paying for their content where you attach your bank info. The follow status will give you half of their island options to choose from and subscribe is also the exclusive islands. I still remember I used to hack frequently for this game. Not usually for anyone else but for myself. I later eventually did it on Nookazon too up until March 2021 when someone snitched on my account and reported it for hacking/duplicating. (Even though I just wanted to be nice :C) Nowadays I almost never get on the game anymore, not even hack either since I gave my old switch to my best friend and got a Lite instead.
Same thing happened to me! I stopped thinking he'd ever show up on a mystery island until he came to my campsite. My sister still has a video of my reaction to seeing Business Cat that night
I’ll admit back when I didn’t know anything about treasure islands I paid $3 for at least over 1k nmt and 20-50 mil bells But now I know about treasure islands ;-; I don’t use treasure islands anymore since I like working for my items but I wish I knew about it before
On the price mark up for switch thing, on my 2020 birthday I wanted to get a switch so the day before we ordered one on Amazon…it was like $430 and that night I literally cried because my dad had to buy something with a $130 mark up until he had to tell me it was ok…fun times
To be fair I’ve had Animal Crossing since day 1, and I’ve honestly never ran into Raymond before. I’ve been on 700+ ticket villager hunts (maybe 8)so idk lol.
I only used nmt once for a villager. Audie for 50 nmt. I stood at that damn machine forever it seemed. Finally the guy was like how many do you have? I think I was at 37 and they just said ok come get her. I still have her to this day on my * cough * abandoned * cough * island.
Question. Is there a risk of being banned by Nintendo if you take items from Treasure Islands? Iirc Nintendo was banning accounts with duplicated items (using the duplication glitch). Is there a risk of that sort?
Nope, I've been playing Animal Crossing since the beginning and I started using Treasure Islands about a year into that. My account is just fine. Keep in mind I never took any of the hacked trees like the star fragment trees or anything. But I have learned DIYs and gotten items
Not related to and crossing new horizons or scams but in animal crossing new leaf one of the things I absolutely do not like is when someone comes onto the isaland and loads the whole island with bamboo and then puts a stump in front of the door so you can't get out of the door and then leaveing you traped on the island
I'm not ashamed to admit that I made some money selling hacked items in ACNH. I made 30-50$ a day selling items on Etsy (it was in the first few weeks, now you will not even get anything close to that amount) it's so easy that you shouldn't be angry at sellers, but at buyers making this even possible in the first place.
I got my Animal Crossing Edition Switch as a bundle with the game, and a few items for about 430 but I only pay about 24 dollars for 12 months which is a great deal.
The Wii didn't have a 13 Year Lifespan if it did that means the Wii Would have been around from 2006 to 2019 when in Reality it was Discontinued in 2013.
I'm shook about treasure islands. I clicked on this vid bc i was trying to figure out if i was in danger of being hacked or something after going to someones island (idk man i dont know anything about hacking) from discord for a villager and it was filled with money and gold and they said to take anything. i didn't because i wasn't sure what the hell was going on 😭 rip to the money i could've had lmao
i didn't know about treasure islands until watching this video, this is definitely valuable info to me lolol. Makes me smile to see folks hacking for good.
I've definitely used those sites in the past and its dumb. But i do wonder how treasure islands gets to stay online since they're hacked and full of items that were hacked in? I've experimented hacking items in with an emulator but considering Nintendo is trigger happy on the ban button, how do treasure island not end up getting their owners a banned console in the end?
I have enough blue and gold rose plants to make over 100,000 bells per day by harvesting the blooms and crafting them into wreaths to be sold at Nook’s Cranny. I could offer each day’s harvest to anyone wanting to make a quick 100,000 bells, but what’s to prevent someone from just digging up the plants instead of just harvesting the blooms?
So far I have everything legitimate. If getting things from a friend also counts, which is not considered cheating I don’t think. Have 3 rooms for my house, main, back, and left side so far. Both extra rooms are season themed. Hoping to maybe keep up the trend. One is a Turkey Day themed room and the other is Easter Day themed room. I can’t remember if that is the name for Easter in the game, can’t remember. Still only have 3 stars for the island though. Still working on that.
I remember commenting on stuff like this the fandom does in a Reddit post long ago, basically calling lots of the fandom crazy freaks. That post immediately got *-1000 downvotes, and many angry people calling me a bigot, the “real freak”, and a big ass hater.* That only just proved my point, because I also got tons of death threats from what I said. But I had tons of genuine concerns about the mental state of the people in this fandom. This was probably the first time I had ever saw the *horrible dark side of the fandom here,* because despite mentioning how stupid the trades people do are, and how people will charge you *real money* for stuff you can get with enough time….. is stupid. Especially so how I mentioned that you could get Raymond without having to spend a single extra dollar to get him, even with the thousands of animals in this game… I also said that some people should just appreciate the villagers they do get, rather than just being *rabbid creatures from the upside down, bullying, cursing, and wishing this one villager they think is ugly to move out, when the villager doesn’t move out when the bully them, and only naturally when brought up in conversation.* I personally only got two villagers I wanted thanks to amiibo cards, while the others I liked anyway and kept them with me in my island. I never want to spend any extra money to get more items of recipes, when I am get all of them naturally by *PLAYING THE GAME.* It’s crazy how disposable the income and time are for people like these.
Did you see the new update was to fix Nintendo’s own bs they caused because they allowed a hacker to go into new horizons and get information and vulnerabilities and the hacker decided to sell it to Nintendo instead of using it for themselves. Nintendo then decided to update 3 games with this problem.
Imo, trade sites like nookazon are ok, as long as you don’t scam. But the websites where you have to buy stuff for your game with real money are ridiculous and shouldn’t be a thing
Kora is there anyway you’d do an updated hybrids guide? i just got back in the game and am trying to get all the blue/purple flowers but there is a lot of mixed info on the internet
With raymond, you could buy a prehacked unbanned swutch and just hqck him in yourself. Not to forget, switch hacking is incredibly easy. With the newer ones its hard but the old ones are easy af
ahh yes who could forget the switch shortage? We're living out those days in the wonderful ps5 shortages now, I really don't give any scalpers who buy in masses no sympathy
Who knew this wholesome video game would have scams? EDIT: I remember paying $600 for a Nintendo Switch in 2020, but this was customized by Colorware, so it's anything but a regular Nintendo Switch.
But how to find Treasure Islands? Ive been on a few acnh server but the community is slowly dying. Its sad but since you already talked about it: I prefer this over inapp purchases und subscriptions.
I love your content. It’s amazing! Also I am predicting that there’s going to be a new game. If we follow the pattern of recent games then maybe we can start off where animal crossing population growing and then the next game so maybe if we go from animal crossing population growing and then how many years it took to make the next game then maybe that’s in how many the the next animal crossing game will come out.
I like this game but honestly the Gamecube Animal Crossing feels larger, and just feels like a more complete game 😂 I think Nintendo just wanted to put out the bare minimum and make big bucks.

On the price mark up for switch thing, on my 2020 birthday I wanted to get a switch so the day before we ordered one on Amazon…it was like $430 and that night I literally cried because my dad had to buy something with a $130 mark up until he had to tell me it was ok…fun times
The first 4 letters of my first name is "Redd." I never knew why 2 of my friends always gave me a hard time until recently.
"Not in the game though"
Golden tools breaking:
I consider tools breaking to be a bug that Nintendo refuses to acknowledge and fix. Lol
I remember getting scammed 1 million bells on moon chair recipe. I knew it was fishy from the start but didn't listen to my gut feelings.
i didn't know about treasure islands until watching this video, this is definitely valuable info to me lolol.
Isn't digging restricted only to friends/best friends? Or is that specifically trees?
Digging can only be done by friends so you're safe. Other people can just pick up or drop stuff on your island.
I got a switch for my kids Christmas 2020 and Animal Crossing. I became obsessed with the game, my kids not so much.😂
Buying game items using real money is so simp
So far I have everything legitimate. If getting things from a friend also counts, which is not considered cheating I don’t think. Have 3 rooms for my house, main, back, and left side so far. Both extra rooms are season themed. Hoping to maybe keep up the trend. One is a Turkey Day themed room and the other is Easter Day themed room. I can’t remember if that is the name for Easter in the game, can’t remember. Still only have 3 stars for the island though. Still working on that.
It's pretty funny how a game like new horizons has a cesspool underneath.
This was probably the first time I had ever saw the *horrible dark side of the fandom here,* because despite mentioning how stupid the trades people do are, and how people will charge you *real money* for stuff you can get with enough time….. is stupid. Especially so how I mentioned that you could get Raymond without having to spend a single extra dollar to get him, even with the thousands of animals in this game… I also said that some people should just appreciate the villagers they do get, rather than just being *rabbid creatures from the upside down, bullying, cursing, and wishing this one villager they think is ugly to move out, when the villager doesn’t move out when the bully them, and only naturally when brought up in conversation.*
I personally only got two villagers I wanted thanks to amiibo cards, while the others I liked anyway and kept them with me in my island. I never want to spend any extra money to get more items of recipes, when I am get all of them naturally by *PLAYING THE GAME.*
It’s crazy how disposable the income and time are for people like these.
1090? Those are rookie numbers! You gotta up those numbers!
I feel so bad for everyone because as soon as I went to the first island I ever went to for a new villager I got RAYMOND
Switches are only $300?? I legitimately thought they were $750 because that's how much I saw them going for on eBay
So happy this game still gets news, loved it since the pandemic kicked off, it kept me sane!
The real biggest scam: Not being able to skip dialogue
Remembering the time where people would ship Raymond and marshal. Then I clicked one link to some strange website called e621….
I managed to get my coral lite in august 2020 from Amazon for more or less regular Nintendo price.
Question : Hopefully I'm not the only person that does this but does anyone else just leave stuff out for free near their airport?
Raymond was the birth of a new era of the Khajiit slave trade
i remember trying to get the sanrio cards. Never could find any.
Did you see the new update was to fix Nintendo’s own bs they caused because they allowed a hacker to go into new horizons and get information and vulnerabilities and the hacker decided to sell it to Nintendo instead of using it for themselves. Nintendo then decided to update 3 games with this problem.
Raymond showed up in my tent 2 months after I started playing the game (yes.. this year). 😄
Imo, trade sites like nookazon are ok, as long as you don’t scam. But the websites where you have to buy stuff for your game with real money are ridiculous and shouldn’t be a thing
Remember when Amiibos were actually Amiibos and not crappy little cards?
Kora is there anyway you’d do an updated hybrids guide? i just got back in the game and am trying to get all the blue/purple flowers but there is a lot of mixed info on the internet
i bought 500,000,000 bells and 500 nmts for 5 dollars on akrpg once and ive never had a bad experience with them
April/march 2020 is literally when I got my switch 😂 they weren’t hard to find
I got raymen in my first playthrough and i was like "oh nice" but i didnt know i could sell him.....DANG IT WHY DID I RESTART
Have you tried reporting them to Google? Most ppl’s stuff is showing up on Google/RUclips
With raymond, you could buy a prehacked unbanned swutch and just hqck him in yourself.
Not to forget, switch hacking is incredibly easy. With the newer ones its hard but the old ones are easy af
Remember when Amiibos were actually Amiibos and not cards?
Thank you for such a witty and informative video! Great work!
I remember when Raymond was popular I got him in my 5th ticket yet I still didn’t take him
I got Raymond in one nook mile ticket, and now I’m only just finding out hes rare!
good thing i just recently got a switch and started playing 😂 i made hella tickets just doing mystery bags.
I’m new to animal crossing so this shit is crazy
ahh yes who could forget the switch shortage? We're living out those days in the wonderful ps5 shortages now, I really don't give any scalpers who buy in masses no sympathy
Who knew this wholesome video game would have scams?
EDIT: I remember paying $600 for a Nintendo Switch in 2020, but this was customized by Colorware, so it's anything but a regular Nintendo Switch.
Good video Kora!!
i JUST got raymond, like an hour ago, with 3 nook miles tickets
But how to find Treasure Islands? Ive been on a few acnh server but the community is slowly dying. Its sad but since you already talked about it: I prefer this over inapp purchases und subscriptions.
I go to Etsy for private tours. Also there are channels right here on RUclips that you can visit for free.
I'd the biggest scam is not having tourtimer tours/mini games.
I’m super glad that my dad bought my Nintendo in 2020/2021 because I probably would’ve never got a Nintendo, or animal crossing
Real scam is no more content from nintendo ❤
I got Raymond as my third villager to move in.
I let him move away at some point
I like this game but honestly the Gamecube Animal Crossing feels larger, and just feels like a more complete game 😂 I think Nintendo just wanted to put out the bare minimum and make big bucks.
Raymond was the character everyone wanted
I HATED HIM
and I got him.
Out of all the villagers, I got Raymond. The one villager everyone wanted but I hated.
LOL
stealing is never ok.
isnt selling stuff within the game, with real cash is not allowed within the game?
i need good treasure island recs the only ones i can find cost real money
If you have twitch search acnh treasure islands there’s tons of free ones that stream 24hr with like 10+ consoles
Twitch is definitely the place to go. I downloaded it just to search for islands and it’s a blast. Have fun!
Pange plays
kinda forgot abt this game since 2020
How do you even find free treasure islands?😭😭 I’ve only come across ones that want real money
Nookazon is so impossible to trade on. I've tried that site after a year of hiatus and barely anyone has responded to my listings or offers.
You’re just getting unlucky.
@@esmin2400 Don't even start. I've been at it for like 5 days and nobody hasn't responded.
@@iamjohnporter67 yeah, only 5 days. Most people *are* really active. You’ve gotten unlucky. You can also check a seller’s reviews to see how active they are. If you need tips, I can help you out.
@@esmin2400 Nah at this point I've given up. Call me whatever you want but Nookazon was complete waste of my time. I shouldn't be surprised because of how dead ACNH has become.
Wait you can get villagers from treasure islands? Can someone let me know if you can?
How do I get on a treasure island
Bruh there’s like 3 people saying they’re first 💀
Make it 4
Anyone who actually uses the word "Bruh" just ugh...
Everyone's first before they refresh
@@ResidentOfEvil81 ur prolly like 40. Stfu.
A but late but if someone has exactly five reviews and is offering free stuff, they are most likely a discord bot used for spamming!! Now ofc there are the real ppl sometimes but check their bios!!
